To maintain a safe environment for you and Gyu-Kaku staff, we ask that all guests understand and adhere to the following:
- Reservations are mandatory. We hope that you will come to dine-in with us when you are ready. Please make a reservation via telephone or our website so that we can prepare for your visit.
- Please bring a mask and use it all times when you are not eating or drinking.
- We will measure your temperature upon entering the restaurant.
- To comply with spatial distancing rules we have spaced our tables out and limited seating capacity.
- There may be limits on party sizes.
- We are serving a limited menu. Not all Grand Menu items will be available during our immediate reopening.
- We only accept payment via credit or debit card. Cash payments respectfully declined.

Getting together with friends in Gyu-Kaku can be a great experience as you get to grill, drink, and talk to friends while having a delicious meal!
Place can be a bit pricey for 2 if not dining within the happy hour. Overall worth for the food for sure.
Covid safety measures are done pretty well. Enjoyed the meal without any Covid concerns!

The food was good and the restaurant and staff are very nice. Just a word of caution, if you have allergies, make it very clear.

Great and friendly service, food came very quickly and we really enjoyed a night out. We felt very safe with the precautions taken and everyone inside seemed to be abiding by the restrictions as well.

Always a great time ! No bbq in the city can compete with these prices.
Love this place! Their BBQ was perfect. I particularly love the Pork Belly and Fillet Mignon. Their corn cheese pops was yummy too and salad. Everything was really good as well as their Maple Ice Cream. Great timing that we also went during their Happy Hour. We will definitely be back.

Good spot to bring a group. Went during happy hour and everyone ordered the lunch combo (rice, salad/soup + 2/3 meats of your choice). Affordable, delicious and overall a good time.
Gyu-Kaku never fails to impress. It is one of our main go-to restaurants in Vancouver. Some of the selections have been dropped for the COVID-19 era (I miss you deep fried bacon pieces) but solid selections remain.
The service here is always top notch - fast, friendly, and focused.
We couldn't visit Japan this fall but this got us a little closer.
Took my father out for a birthday dinner and ordered the premium meat lovers. We both really enjoyed the food as well as the environment and service. Would definitely come back again.

There was a mouse in the restaurant and the serves were catching it with a sticky pad while we were still eating.
I love going to Gym-Kaku for lunch. The food is delicious and service is great. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Old customers of Gyu Kaku chain. Service mediocre. Slow, had to “convince” waiter that we were in need if a grill change, he first wanted to argue and said “it’s normal for the grill to become burnt”. Appetizers brought only mid way during the meal. Calgary location MUCH better.
Overall it was good. We have been before. But the service was below expectations this time. Had to remind them of our drink order - through a random staff member. Our Server seemed to busy with other tables. We seemed like we were not being really taken care of.
The service was amazing. Claire, our server was attentive and super sweet. My father in law shared with her that it was a special day for us, and she brought us two drinks on the house. Totally unexpected!
