Hotel restaurant. Amazing poutine. Everything else was just OK. Service was slow and a little disorganized.
Amazing service and food as we celebrated our parents’ wedding anniversary this past Friday. We had mentioned it was a special occasion in the OpenTable reservation notes and H2 was able to take note and surprise us! Time and time again this restaurant never fails to impress my out of town guests. Food — we loved the must-try rotisserie chicken and the steak were both done perfectly! Ambience — the atmosphere was relaxing as it should be, and there was considerable spacing between tables... will come again (and again)!!!
We found the food to be very good. Decent variety of choices and great taste and presentation. Cocktail list was uninspired but wine list was alright. Restaurant was quite slow and service was far below expectations. Service was slow, unpolished and no teamwork between servers.
Disappointed with the seating arrangement considering we had mentioned that we were there for the brunch buffet. We were seated the furthest point from the buffet area and closest to the loud music. There were plenty of empty tables closer to the buffet area which remained empty during our brunch. Being a vegetarian, I was disappointed that there was no omelette station and no prepared salad choices. Surprisingly there was no assortment of freshly sliced bread available either. There was no area with fresh juices or other drinks available. Finally, the pre-cut portions of roast beef and rotisserie chicken may have expedited the serving but without a permanent person at the station, it was disconcerting seeing the youngsters using their bare hands to pick up the wings and drumsticks. We will not be returning. Being an SPG gold member, it was quite disappointing experience.
I went to H2 on the valentine’s day for dinner. The special Valentine’s set was amazing with very delicious food and an all you can eat chocolate fondue for dessert. I would definitely come back to H2, it’s good for date and a lot of other occasions.
steak is over cooked. Soup is to salty.
Sunday brunch was awful selection was same as breakfast smoked salmon was crusty on edge potatoes hash was soggy there no chicken sausage
Rice and quinoa look and taste sooo dry like day old only roasted chicken was nic e
I like h2 so much and I like go there all time this review for the chefs and management
Birthday brunch with the girls. Great location for “older” girlfriends.
Was there for dine out. A unique twist as they offered chicken pot pie and only 1 other selection which I don’t even remember. Dessert was peanut butter mousse or apple crumble with peanuts filling the plate. It was a good chicken pot pie and it would’ve fit the bill if I was freezing or in the arctic somewhere. But for dine out not so much. Understaffed as she did her best but was solo.
A rough start ended with an unbelievable experience. The food and people were amazing. We will definitely be coming back!
Went for brunch and would have liked more breakfast options on the menu instead of all lunch items. Felt forced to have the buffet.
Great service, food and ambiance! Can’t wait to go back!
We went there for their NYE special buffet dinner. It was one of the best buffet food I've had in Vancouver, with a lot of selection and tons of seafood options, dessert station with chocolate fondue, carving station serving Chicken or Prime Rib, Lamb chops, and so much more. They also had live music playing throughout, and the ambiance was fantastic. Now, two things I'd improve... their food stopped at 10:30 which isn't great for a NYE event, and not all staff knew the details of the NYE event (menu, when does it end, etc...).
Overall, I highly recommend this place for special occasions, it's a bit on the pricey side, but worth the money.
We we’re there for New Year’s Eve buffet and it was below expectations. We came in at 9:30 and everything was just stale. They should have replenish the stations for people with late reservations. Taste was not that great either. The snow crab was too salty, duck was dry and desiccated . Gotta try the regular menu and see if it’s any better. But I probably won’t do the buffet again. Not worth 95 dollars.
Considering it was new years eve, i was expecting food that was at least warm and edible. With the exception of the lamb, the buffet was not enticing. The sushi was toocold and stale and the chicken was cold along with the beef. The dessert was a highlight. Very dissapponted especially given it was new years eve and the buffet was almost $100 per person
We absolutely loved our Christmas lunch buffet. Food, service and ambience outstanding. I recommend booking a table to get a great spot and make the most of the location.
Always good and service excellent love their breakfast buffet nice selection and fresh
Food priced good
Good spot for celebrating Christmas with Family
Our brunch was good but I found the atmosphere lacking it just wasn't warm and I don't mean only the temperature. Also thought it would have been a bit more festive for Christmas.
The food was great for the price, and the ambiance was lovely.
Their team hosted our company Christmas luncheon. We all agreed, our best in a very long time. We’ll done!
Over priced food. 8 mussels for main course. Ambience is 1-10. Service mediocre.
This was the first time I went to H2... It was great! Food, service and atmosphere were fantastic for our Staff Christmas lunch. Prices were good as well. I would definitely go back and I recommend it to others.
Cafeteria ambiance. Grumpy rude waitress. Food was good
Nice environment. Quite a good variety of food but can have more hot items for brunch.
Food was bland, ordered seafood chowder and French onion soup and they tasted off. Ordered the free range chicken and that was dry and bland. The only thing that was tasty was the crab cake. My husband and I came here for our 8yr anniversary and it was a dissapointment. For comfort food... we should’ve went to Burgoo instead.
Great food, service, and ambience, with the bonus of live music when we were there on a Saturday at lunchtime. The menu has a good selection of dishes at reasonable prices. I loved and highly recommend the delicious Truffle Mushroom Burger, a vegetarian option that would please even non-vegetarians.
Excellent service and suggestions on how to make dishes gluten free. Lovely surroundings looking out to pool and mountains. Food was tasty!!
Salmon was great!! And dessert chocalate cake with a caramel espectacular
I was little disappointed, patio was closed. Not that cold yesterday , we were 6 and we were crammed on table for 4? Good the server was good. Not going back there again.
The food is always cooked to perfection! Definitely recommend the seafood platter — it is a great variety and every bite is delicious.
The brunch buffet was lovely! I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere for conversation and the beautiful poolside view! Service was very friendly! Thank you!
Our group had a wonderful Sunday brunch while staying at the Westin recently. A great variety of options for brunch, a quiet beautiful setting, and unbeatable service. Truly a gem. A must-have morning treat for a weekend away.
Slow service, nothing special about the food. They serve the chicken on wooden cutting boards and "newspaper" but the chicken is somewhat juicy so it saturates the paper making it fall apart and then u have to pick the paper off of your chicken, which is lacking in seasoning. They also seem more focus on room service meals (you see the bellmen getting the food on the rolling tables) that the restaurant tends to suffer and I think that's why it takes so long to get the mediocre food.
We were here for a birthday dinner. H2 has a very nice patio area with live band in the background. It gets quite chilly during the evening so either bring or jacket or ask for a blanket to keep warm. It was quite cold for me even with a blanket but I didn't want to ask to switch table as we already had appies then. We had rotisserie chicken and other light dishes with a salad. The chicken could be better as they claim to be a rotisserie restaurant. Chicken was cold unfortunately... Seems like it was better off to do hald the chicken instead of whole. We didnt get dessert there but they looked amazing. I heard people got birthday cake on the house. We didnt for ours so if you go there for birthday or anniversary I would say dont rely on it if you are looking to get one. With that said we would come back for dessert for sure. Overall the experience could be better.
We had the most wonderful experience at the H2. Great service, delicious food and life music.
We had a great evening at H2. Our meals were delicious and we had a great waiter who made us enjoy our evening in Vancouver.
The food was amazing and the service was fantastic! We chose to dine outdoors and it was a wonderful atmosphere, with live music, fire for more light, cozy table sizes, and best of all the harbour right next door. I can't wait to visit again! I'd definitely recommend it. (I'd also recommend making a reservation for weekend evening dinning.) Definitely a must try if you are in the area.
We had a wonderful time at H2 connecting with friends over a casual meal. The food delivered on the promise of home cooking. Everything we had was tasty and the service was great.
