From entering the Restaurant it was awful. There was no usher or hostess available. We stood at the entrance way and made ourselves comfortable while we patiently waited for someone to attend to us. After maybe more than 8 minutes the usher just took us to a shabby table, absolutely no greeting. We got up soon after and informed them that we were leaving.
My wife and I spent two and a half hours at dinner. Thirty minutes was spent before anyone even took our order, twenty more before the food was served and almost forty-five minutes before the bill was brought to us after we completed out meal. Additionally, the furniture was very unstable and small. Even adding to the this, a family with two toddlers was seated adjacent to us and a crying toddler ruined the experience for us, as well as the three other couples who asked to be relocated.
Poor service even from reception. Wrong order on one of the main course. Did not bother to change as the order took long to arrive. Happy with fresh food even though it took a while.
This, my first experience of Hakka was a delightfully pleasant one. My initial concern with the precarious parking arrangements (after all it's Woodbrook), gave way to my being utterly impressed with the decor as I entered the establishment. The friendly attention at the entrance certainly compensated for any professional deficiency in the provision of that service, only outdone by that of the assigned wait staff which bordered on obsequious. This I consider a plus given the unacceptable levels in the local restaurant industry generally. The menu was acceptably varied without being so overly extensive as to hinder decision. The food was tasty and delivered in a prompt and efficient fashion and was reflective of the advertised fusion element. Overall a beyond pleasant dining experience.
After making a reservation for my son's birthday, having it confirmed, then leaving South Trinidad all the way to Hakka Resturant during the work week to have them tell me at the front that they are closed for an event was in my opinion disgusting. They could have called during the day to cancel the reservation instead of making my family go through the trouble of going there and getting turned away.
Great food ... great ambience and excellent customer service .
Ideal for couples or groups. Very attentive staff. Absolutely delicious food. Adequate portion sizes and reasonable prices.

Upon meeting the destination the greeting was not up to par. Some customer service need to be done. The dining experience was not that great, both my party and self was applaud at the service. It was a birthday celebration and it went downhill for the other party. Having appetizers, we used the cutlery and going on to the main course the cutlery was push aside to be used for the main course. That is a NO, No for us. The appetizer was great but the main course was oily. I expected great food but it was not. We recommend training of staff. The host served only two tables and the service was poor. Some cleaning was done and the remnants remained for as long as we were there by the cleaning staff.. Training in housekeeping needed.
We recommend also that a little cushion be provided if requested by the customer, that will be greatly appreciated i am sure for those who have little rare posterior.
Delicious meal. Lovely ambience. Would have been a 5 star experience if the wait staff were more knowledgeable about the ingredients in the dishes on the menu and had provided better guidance about the quantity of food so that we didn’t have copious leftovers in some dishes.
Great restaurant, ambience great! Lengthy service between courses! Slightly over priced! Need a more balanced system as there were long queues for reserved bookings including my party of four! Great potential for Michelin star status as the food was also good! Resolving and setting higher standards is Paramount!

The service was mediocre. Food was adequate.
The waitress brought out a sauce condiment dish which was already half eaten!
Despite an automatic 10% service charge (in addition to normal taxes)on the bill and when the person gentleman who put thru our credit card at the front desk almost insisted we leave a tip!!
Not a great experience overall.
