We had an amazing girl dinner at Halani to celebrate my girlfriend’s 30th. The service was on point and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Service was on point and the food and drinks were delicious. This is definitely one of our favorite restaurants on the island and highly recommend coming here!

Another great meal last night. Although it was very busy due to the holiday, service was excellent and attentive. It was our son's birthday and our server helped us celebrate with a beautiful dessert and candle.

We had excellent, attentive service and delicious food. The jalapeño mashed potatoes that accompanied the short rib were unique and tasty, as was the rice that accompanied the ono, catch of the day. The pizza was hot, fresh, and had a divinely light crust.

I celebrated my birthday at Hālani and it was the best birthday dinner I’ve ever had. Food was delicious and service was top notch! I have nothing but good things to say about Hālani! Our table shared the lobster Mac and cheese, truffle fries, and whole fish. I highly recommend all of these dishes.

Mahalo for the excellent service and food. We so enjoyed our dinners at Halani. The Kobe steak frites was our favorite but a close second is the veggie tempura. Salads are fresh and bright and with excellent Big Island greens. Our servers and restaurant hostess could not have been kinder and more professional.

This restaurant has a beautiful setting and restaurant, terrific food and service. I ordered their "Fresh catch" fish which was delicious and beautifully presented with Broccolini on the side. Everything was well prepared, served quickly and beautifully plated. The waiter was attentive and knew his craft very well. The setting itself was wonderful. It is an open restaurant and the 'Hawaiin weather is super. There is a grassy area where kids who were tired of dining with their parents were playing an impromptu soccer game, there was a wonderful musician and it was magical. The kids running around were very appropriate for a family hotel and they were far enough away that they did not bother anyone who was dining. Also, the food is very fancy and high end. The description on open table did not convey that to me but know the food is high end, it is expensive, it is a beautiful restaurant and if it is in your price range and you want a high end experience go to this restaurant. Perfect for a romantic night out, good if you want to take your family to an elegant meal, probably a bit fancy for little kids but that is why they can get up and run around the lawn...maybe bring a soccer ball for them...

The blue snapper special was excellent. It was moist and seasoned well with rice and wonderful hawaiian bread. For dessert we had a bread pudding made with ube and topped with cream and a side of vanilla ice cream. The server, Harley, was friendly, attentive and made sure were taken care of promptly and answered our menu questions in detail. Overall a great dinner. There was a table of loud drinkers near us and one party of 6 had to be reseated due to their intrusive noise level but that was not the fault of the Halani staff.

This is a lovely place to sit and relax and watch the glow of the sunset. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The pork chop is delicious, and the pizza is very good too. We had a great bottle of wine and a wonderful evening.

My family had an exceptional meal here last night. My mom had the pork chop and raved it was the best pork chop she’d ever had. My husband ordered the catch of the day and was very impressed with the flavors of the fish as well as the kimchi fried rice. I had the salmon which was tender and delicious. My brothers had the pizza and the wagyu, respectively, and both said their meal was fantastic. This was our second time coming to Hālani, and we look forward to returning again before leaving the island next week.

We had a lovely dining experience here. Delicious food, lovely service, and a quiet romantic atmosphere. Nice without being pretentious. My husband and I escaped for a kid free dinner and it was perfect for that. We sat outside on the fringe so it was very quiet. Our server was lovely and even comped a round of drinks because it took a little while. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a little something special on vacation.
