    I always like the vibe here and the food is pretty consistent, but majority of the time I have really bad service. Always takes awhile to even have a waiter come over to acknowledge the table and get drinks. Then they are rarely seen, find yourself looking for them for a check. If the service improved this place could be outstanding.

    Celebrated a friend's birthday for brunch and everything was great. The only thing was that one of them wanted the fried chicken which was on the brunch menu but the server said you did not have it for brunch anymore. The Chantilly cake is delicious!

    Excellent neighborhood spot that is perfect for a casual happy hour or a special occasion. Great bar and great consistent service. It's my favorite spot in Austin.

    Etta was a fabulous wait person. We appreciated the attentiveness given and descriptions of food items of which we had questioned. We were told about 1/2 off burgers on Mondays and everyday happy hour. We definitely plan on returning to enjoy both and to once again feast on Sunday brunch!

    Went for brunch with friends and our table was ready when we arrived. We were given excellent recommendations for menu items and what items are best to share such as the lemon ricotta pancakes. I decided to order eggs benedict because I like hollandaise sauce and it was absolutely delicious! I have had meals from Hank's a couple of other times and have never been disappointmented. This most recent visit has been the best overall experience!

    Brunch was delish. Highly recommend the eggs Benedict. Friend had shrimp/grits. Mentioned it was good but prob wouldn’t order again. Service was just ok. Not friendly and just seemed like he was doing a job (without any interaction)

    GET THE HUMMUS!!!! It was amazingly delicious. I will return here just for the hummus! The cheeseburger was tasty and they have very thin fries which were so delicious. Overall such a yummy meal! On Tuesday, half off bottle of wine. Great deal!

    The ambience was great. Our service was good when we went they were out of a lot of items which wasn’t a problem. But when they didn’t have salmon, I ordered a chicken sandwich and it came back extremely burnt. I think my favorite item out of the three course meal was the hummus.

    Wonderful experience at Hank’s, and Chuy was a huge part of that! He was so friendly and helpful, very personable. Everything we ordered was divine… shrimp summer pasta, bolognese, frozen palomas, and eton mess. We will definitely come back the next time we visit Austin!

    Overall, we are very happy with Hank’s, but it would be still better if the acoustics did more to dampen the noise. It can be hard to carry on a conversation with others at your table. This is because it is so good in all other ways that it is always totally filled with cheerful customers.

    Disappointed in brunch offerings. Shakshuka had too much sauce and not enough egg and could not even taste feta. Fried breakfast sandwich and breakfast potatoes were just okay. Not up to the standard of food we have previously experienced at Hank’s. Service was less than good. After our food arrived we had to ask multiple staff members for utensils before we were able to eat. Normally love their food, especially brussels sprouts, so will eat there again, just not for brunch.

    I've been to Hank's twice now and it was just okay both times. The prices seem high for the quality of food and service you get. The first time I went I got a salad with shrimp on it, and the shrimp were a bit overcooked. The second time I went I got the avocado toast, and it was quite bland and the sourdough bread crust was difficult to cut with just a standard knife. The poached egg on top was also overcooked, with a hard yolk that wasn't runny at all. I got desserts both times too. The chantilly cake I got the first time was fantastic, but the galette I got the second time was just ok. The crust wasn't very good. It felt less like a pastry and more like bread. Both times the servers felt kind of distracted. The first time we went we were seated on the patio and our waiter kept forgetting to check in on us and forgot our drink refills we requested. The second time we were seated indoors and our waitress was better but still did what I would call the bare minimum in terms of service. In summation, Hank's is okay but not somewhere I would look forward to returning to.

    Went for brunch and they were out of almost everything. Then our server kept disappearing and each time he came back, another thing was gone.. however, the Manager swooped by and made everything almost okay! Got our drinks, chicken sandwiches, and we wrapped up quick after that. Would try again, but not a great first impression.

    So the food was amazing, but the service was terrible. I made a reservation to see a friend of mine that I havent seen in a while and after an hr , our waiter brought our bill and told us that was a reservation after us. I felt rushed and it damped our experience.

    Food was poor. Shakshuka had more garlic then tomatoes, poached eggs could use another 30sec of cooking. The atmosphere is amazing, waitress was great and mint cold brew was to die for. Please add salt and pepper to the tables. And plastic cups for drinks are incredibly bad for ecology. It's not that difficult to bring a glass and wash it later. You're not a food truck, you can and should use glass!

    First visit and it was fantastic from the hostess to the server. Most importantly, it was evident that all of the guests were 5-star treatment. I ordered a frozen Negroni, but I think there may have been a freezer issue and the drink wouldn’t be ready for 20 minutes or so. The server recommended a great alternative, which I chose. But I really appreciated her checking back with me to see if I wanted the Negroni once they were ready. She didn’t need to do that, but I appreciated that she cared enough to ask. Can’t wait to go for dinner!

    I made a reservation for Mother’s Day almost a month in advance. The hostess sat us in an area labeled as the “bar” by a sign hanging in the room. I had a 2 and 5 year old with me and my husband to celebrate Mother’s Day. My husband asked if we could sit some place else other than the bar and was told that the tables available were held for reservations (wtf- we had a reservation). We tried to make it work, but the hostess gave us a lot of attitude when we asked her to take a chair to make room for a high chair ( totally putting her out). Mind you- this is banquet seating and you are about a foot away from the person next to you. It was so loud that we couldn’t hear each other talk. It was too much and the staff was completely insensitive about our concerns, so I decided to make another reservation at Trulucks. They uphold standards and we enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day meal. I will NEVER go to Hank’s again. They will eventually close- and I will rejoice. You reap what you sew…

    Fantastic service, food, and coffee as always. Only thing to note is that as of now (May, 2023) there's some construction going on around either side of the property. It's not very intrusive but it's something to be aware of.

    I always enjoy Hanks. They patio is lovely and they have a great menu selection with healthy options to choose from. Unfortunately, this last visit they had run out of steak and salmon. That didn't leave a lot of protein options. That was disappointing as it was a work luncheon and two out of three couldn't get what they wanted to order. The service and ambience were great. We will return, as we've loved it in the past, but hope that this was a one time thing.
