Happy and Olive is excited to host our 2nd in a series of wine dinners. Clark Estate is a small producer in the Upper Awatare Valley, in the SE of Marlborough, New Zealand. They are certified sustainable and wines with lots of personality and a cool story. Mom and Dad found the land over 25 years ago and planted from scratch; today the vineyard is a mere 13 hectares. We will be joined by their daughter Sarah Clark to introduce us to this hidden gem of a winery. The night includes a five course dinner with matching wines as well as Cava from Black Sheep Imports. Cost is $150/person all included (GST, Gratuity, Food and Wine)

Loved everything. Amanda is a wonderful and kind server and the food and drinks were delicious. Great ambiance. Terrific addition to the neighbourhood. We look forward to our next visit. We plan to be regulars.

Went for lunch. Different, interesting and yummy food choices. The three at our table each chose a different dish. We all thought what we got was delicious, and would go back again. Just a sidenote. We had some confusion with our bill. It was our own fault for not looking properly at it. But when I phoned once I was home, Andrea absolved us of any responsibility and resolved it quickly and efficiently. They truly know how to treat customers right!!

Lovely ambience and décor. Delicious food. A welcome addition to the neighborhood. Dinner good for couples and groups of friends; earlier in the day, a nice spot for coffee.

The lunch-time noise level was very high so older people with hearing problems might find it a challenge. While we had reservations for 1130, when we arrived, the restaurant was maybe 1/4 or less full. by 12:00 it was full, however we seemed to be the last to get our meals served and did not get our lunch until about 1235. We didn't make it back to work for 1:00. Maybe not the best for a tight business lunch meeting. The food was great. Owners were on sight to assist with party bookings.

The restaurant is light, open and airy. We were greeted and seated quickly. Lunch menu has many options. We chose Vada Pav Sliders, Shiitake Crab Cakes and Smoked Salmon Latke. Generally everything was very good (especially the fries). Only issues were over cooked latke and side salad being only lettuce.

Great new restaurant in the west end at Crestwood. Interesting and varied menu, lots of great sharing options and enough variety of tasty food for every palate. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended. I'll be back for sure.

Really enjoyed our visit to Happy and Olive. My ONLY complaint is the noise level. I could barely hear my friend speak from across the table. Not sure what can be done, but for this, not sure I would come back for a meal.

I met a friend there for lunch. Fortunately I had a reservation so had my choice of a couple of tables. I chose the corner table. Had I not, we would not have been able to hear one another. It was busy and VERY noisy. Our server, while attentive, had to keep returning to the kitchen to get the answer to our questions. I chose the tuna entree and really enjoyed it, it was both delicious and good value. My friend chose the fried chicken and was very disappointed. She had specifically asked if it was white meat, which our server, after asking the kitchen, told us it was. It turned out to be a thigh and a very small one at that. While the flavour was good, my friend was very disappointed that it wasn’t white meat as she had been told and we both felt that the portion size was very skimpy. We did not feel it was good value at all.

One of the best meals I’ve had in Edmonton! A very interesting menu with lots of dishes I want to try. It’s rare to experience a meal in Edmonton where every dish is delicious but they did it here! Would reorder everything we tried but also want to try everything else too. Favourites were the mushroom latkes, charred cabbage, Moroccan lamb and fried angel food cake for dessert! Can’t wait to go back and try more!

Casual ambience with interesting food choices. If you like lamb, duck, tuna or fried chicken for your evening meal you are in luck. Salads are also available. Serving staff were excellent but do be ready for a costly evening out.

This is such a lovely space, that transitions well from sunny breakfasts to soft-lit evenings. The vibe is welcoming, service is friendly, and the menu is thoughtfully curated with enough variety to appeal to different tastes. Do try the dessert!

This was our first visit to Happy & Olive. The menu is quirky and full of innovative dishes. Quality was excellent and our server was outstanding. We enjoyed our first of many visits to this new restaurant immensely and will be returning soon. Be sure to book a reservation though as they are very busy and the room is quite small.
