    Not impressed. I was told sitting outside wasn’t an option - after waving down someone to help me they pointed to the corner table and told me to sit there. Waited a long time to be acknowledged, drinks/food didn’t show up for a long time. With all the choices you have downtown la I would highly recommend choosing a different spot.

    Service was terrific we were well attended. Food was good, fresh and served well. Because of Valentines Day the menu was limited. Drinks were strong and well put together. Music was a little too loud for conversation. Outdoor seating was limited so we stayed indoors. Views of downtown were great. Will go back when the weather is warmer.

    My husband and I went to Harbor House for Valentines Day. At first, it’s a bit unimpressive...mainly a bar with a scattering of high top and standard dining tables. It’s pretty spartan and lacking in any particular charm or ambiance, but it’s sharp and clean and modern. What most impressed us was the food and service. It was a pretty limited menu but everything we had was delightfully tasty and attractively-presented, and the service was uncommonly friendly and attentive. Romantic? Not so much, but fun and friendly with great food.

    The restaurant was actually closing when we arrived. They hadn’t seen our reservation and closed early due to being slow. But the server accommodated us and kept the kitchen open. The outside area is wonderful. I am sure it is perfect in summer. I will go back next summer for sure!

    2nd time there. First time was for lunch and it's been a bit too hot even thought it was March (all or most of the seating is outside). But this time for late dinner it was spectacular - absolutely beautiful views of surrounding skyline from the patio of one of the most gorgeous buildings in downtown LA. Food and service were great too at reasonable price. Drinks were pretty good too.

    The place has a lot of potential. Location is definitely a plus ! We were greeted as soon as we entered by the restaurant manager. Even given complimentary drink. The drinks are not anything special. We were here for the dine LA dinner and I don’t think we will be coming back. The lobster bisque tasted like it came from a can. The beef sashimi was not good and the deserts tasted very commercial.

    Always look forward to having dinner here for DineLA. The steak sashimi was a recommendation by the hostess and she was spot on! It was delicious and tender. I also had the steak and tiramisu for dessert.

    Not exactly what we expected. This is a restaurant is, basically, in the lobby of the building. There is a noisy bar at one end. Tables out on a patio. The food was good, but sitting at a table in the darken lobby (the bar was way too noisy and it was too cold on the patio, and the area we were sitting is apparently only used at lunch time) wasn’t our idea of a classy restaurant.

    Absolutely atrocious service, restaurant was literally empty and it still took over an hour to be served. I had arranged for the restaurant to do something for my friends birthday (the reason for our dinner there) but they did nothing. Food was cold and tasted old. Do not be fooled... don’t go back!

    This restaurant is hidden at the back of a hotel however the entrance is accessible via steps across from the parking entrance to 7th & Fig. First visit was during Restaurant Week/DineLA and returned for their burger.

    I did the DineLA menu and you would assume, they do the very best to impress you so it brings you back to try the rest of the menu however I felt it was half-assed meals. The lobster bisque was salty, very very salty, even tried the toast with it but it was still salty. So I didn’t finish that. Then we also had the lemongrass beef salad which was a little more decent but wouldn’t recommend that either. As for enteee I had the 35 days aged steak, medium rare, with mash potatoes and green beans... it tasted like frozen steak for 35 days and for being an outdoor seating restaurant-you would think they serve the steak on a hot plate but it was cold, like the dish had been sitting for a few hours. On top of the horrible experience so far, the desert part really tipped me off, I ordered the bread pudding and it was hard as a rock! It’s not bread, nor pudding, it was solid as a caramel bar with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The place was very nice, servers and host were friendly and caring but the food-THE FOOD SUCKED! I want to come back so bad and even recommend to my local friends but I can’t, it’s just disappointing.

    This place is amazing! I went to catch up with a friend but it would be great for drinks with coworkers after work. The mostly outdoor space is clean and cute. The food is AMAZING. The staff is friendly. I cannot wait to go back

    They forgot about us. We ordered off of the Dine LA menu and it took 55 minutes to get our lunch entree. The value would have been higher for the food but unfortunately the appetizer and entree both came cold. Overall the experience was pretty disappointing because it took two hours for my party of three to eat a $15 lunch. Improving the service would dramatically enhance the experience.

    I came here excitedly wanting check out Dinela. We got seated in a reasonable time, but it took forever for anybody to pay attention to us and bring us our menus. We ordered drinks first but that took ages to come out... After about an hour, the appetizer finally came. We got the lobster bisque (they forgot to bring our bread, which took another 15 min) and crab cakes (lukewarm) which comes with two. For the main course, we got the dry aged steak (once again lukewarm) and the gnocchi, which was the only thing that was hot. The dessert (bread pudding) was the best part to say the least. I'm not sure why the service here is so bad and slow...the food was mediocre...so I'm giving this place one star since it had nice scenery/ambience at least.

    Poor service and poor food. I’ve never gone to a restaurant where the food has been inedible, especially a place that’s on the DineLA list. I was hoping the food would redeem the restaurant for the crappy service we received but wow the food tasted like prepackaged airplane food. My risotto tasted like mush, and I said something and received a truffles gnocchi which tasted ok compared to the mush but nothing special at all. Avoid this place at all costs. Worst of all, I took my parents here on their last night visiting me before they headed home to Australia.

    I’ve never written a review for food or products. Unfortunately, this experience was exceptionally awful. I just want to give a descriptive warning to anyone else who might be tempted to throw their money. My boyfriend and I came to Harbor House during Dinner for the kickoff of DineLA. We paid $29.00/each for their prix-fixed menu. In retrospect, we should have left when we waited 20-30 after our reservation to be seated. We were seated inside at a table that had been cleared of plates and silverware, but covered with crumbs. We were provided with silverware wrapped in cloth napkins, but unfortunately my napkin was covered in crumbs and black (dirt?) marks. Our waitress, who doubled as he bartender, quickly and politely replaced my napkin upon request. We waited 45 minutes before someone took our first order: lobster bisque. It was not a bisque at all; it was incredibly soupy. The flavor was awful- so salty that neither my boyfriend nor I took more than two sips of our “bisque”. A passing staff member asked why we hadn’t eaten. I’m not one to send food back to a kitchen, but he pressed us so I told him. He apologized and took our plates. He didn’t return with an alternative, but did offer us two glasses of rosé on him. My boyfriend wasn’t drinking, but he took the offer to be friendly. About 30 minutes later, we received our food. I ordered the scallop risotto while my boyfriend ordered the steak and mashed potatoes. Fortunately, my scallops were cooked pretty well. The risotto, however, was a mushy, bland mess. My boyfriend’s food was completely cold. He finished the cold steak (supposed to warm and medium temperature), but didn’t touch the cold mashed potatoes. We each only ate the meat in our dishes. We were so disappointed with meal so far, and so done with waiting (we’d been there for two hours by the time we attempted to eat our second plate), that we asked for our check before the dessert course we paid for. We ordered pizza on the way home.

    I called ahead and the host was not very friendly. Because I know the area, I decide to take a chance and just go anyway. Seated at the bar, I found a most agreeable bartender and ditched my reservation to enjoy her company and insights. Glad I did! The host and greeting waiters need alternative employment. The place was near empty and I'm guessing they are the reason...

    A great restaurant for a nice evening out for any occasion. The servers are tons of fun and the food delicious. We've been whenever we visit Victoria and will definitely go again when in the area. Highly recommend them.
