   My wife, 2 kids and I went for Mothers Day. We both ordered ribeye steak and it was underwhelming. Service and our waiter were excellent.

   I've come to HarbourStone every year for Mothers Day (About 5 years now). Unfortunately, I think this was my last. We were seated at our table and waited for 20 minutes, no one showed up. I turned around and asked a team member walking by if we could have tea & coffee. A waitress brought it over, I asked to place my order, she let us know she was not our waitress and then we waited again. The same lady came over once again and let us know she would be would taking our orders (there was a mixup). I'm not one to normally complain, but this was very upsetting. The restaurant was quite empty yet we waited for an unreasonable about of time. If this happens in the future (it will, we're all human) I would recommend training staff to offer something to apologize for the wait time.

   Dined here with colleagues while in Halifax for a conference. We weren't staying at the Marriott, but the restaurant had such good reviews we decided to check it out. We weren't disappointed. Our server highly recommended the nachos, and she was right, they were fantastic. Maybe maple bacon is a common nacho topping in Canada, but as someone who lives in the States I wasn't expecting it. And it worked. We also really enjoyed the breads and spreads starter. Everyone was pleased with their entrees and we covered a good portion of the menu since we were a large party. Two of us had the grilled halibut with seared scallops on the side. The fish was cooked perfectly with a nice sear on the outside and tender flavorful flesh beneath. The scallops were a wonderful compliment to the flavor of the fish. It made for a very pleasant evening.

   Nice atmosphere with live music playing. Our server was top notch, probably the best service we have ever received in a restaurant! He was knowledgeable about both the drinks and food menu and gave great recommendations. He was prompt and courteous and clearly took pride in his work. The food was hot and arrived quickly. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be back!

   Food and service was excellent. My Korean wings and ribs were delicious. My wife says her chowder was up there with the best ever and the crab cakes were the best she has had. Dessert was sinfully tasty. Would definitely eat here again.

   My family was very excited for the experience of being in a dome and later was disappointed to find out just before our reservation that there was a minimum spend and an additional fee for the domes. I understand the charge but felt it ruined the experience only focusing on a cost we should have been made aware of prior to the reservation to make a proper decision and have the correct expectations. It truly felt the Harbourstone took no ownership in the error and did not care about our experience, in this case with the failure to advise at the time of reservation that the fee should have been on the restaurant. Remembering a good experience means a repeat customer is a good option to take in these cases even if it was explained as an error for the next visit.

    This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool and the staff is friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority........ AND as a bonus, the food is good.

    I had the steak dinner and I would NOT recommend. I couldn't eat it. I requested med/rare and it was super thin and very well done. No flavor....veggies weren't cooked, just a poor meal all around. Only thing on plate I could eat was the three scallops. Those were good. Drinks were OK. I ordered steak based on server recommendation and definitely regret my choice.

    Very pleased with our first experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely phenomenal, service was exemplary, atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. We plan to return to try the famous seafood chowder. Overall a lovely dining experience.

    We had the turducken for the first time. It was delicious, although the stuffing needed more spices -it was quite bland. The only complaint is that it was quite chilly. My wife and another lady next to us ate with their coats on!

    We spent my birthday and our anniversary here . The staff were amazing and very accommodating . They gave us a card wishing me a happy birthday and Happy anniversary with all the staffs signature . So nice. Then after our meal they gave us dessert on the house ! We will be back !

    Overall great experience. My only comment is regarding parking. The day before my reservation I received an email confirmation that mentioned I could park for free if I spent more than $25 in the restaurant. I had previously planned on taking the ferry but once I saw this offer, decided to park in the hotel parking. However, when I went to validate my parking pass at the hotel lobby desk they informed me that this was no longer a service offered. Thankfully, the hotel staff member did validate my parking once I showed them the email confirmation from Harbourstone Pour House, but they did say they wouldn't do it again. It sounds like there is a disconnect between what the restaurant offers and the hotel's policy when it comes to parking. Not a big deal, and rectified in the end, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Overall the food, ambiance and service were very good!

    The food was amazing, very delicious! Gluten-free options are good. However, the bar closed at 10 PM so we couldn’t have after dinner drinks. Our waitress was very friendly. Yet, we had a couple of issues with her serving etiquette. Her hair was in a glass of water when she served it to the table as well as carrying straws to the table with her bare hands.

    Really good food. Music blaring in ears from speakers of guitar performer. Waiter said they had Stella in a bottle. Asked if I wanted it in a glass or bottle. I said bottle was fine. Arrived some time later and poured Stella from a can into a glass lol. Not a big deal, but for the price of dinner and a drink or two, they should probably get most everything right.

    I have eaten here a few times and really enjoyed both the vegan Earth burger with lentil fries, as well as the mini slider burgers on another occasion. However, on Mother's day I ordered one of the brunch specials. The poached eggs and asparagus were cooked perfectly, but the pork and scallops were overcooked, dry and rubbery. The floor manager responded well, and my meal was quickly replaced. I decided to go with the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. It was prepared well, but the flavor was mediocre. My mother had an omelette and thought the salmon was also overcooked. So, I definitely won't recommend ordering seafood, and I won't be returning for brunch. I will try again for drinks and dinner.

    Service was good. Food was very mediocre. I had seafood stew - mostly one large potato sliced in there to fill the bowl. Taste was bland. Husband had wings and ribs, wings were good, ribs were too tough to eat. Left them on the plate.

    The food was amazing and the service was excellent you could taste the flavour in the food. The restaurant is a great place to have a glass of wine and relaxin conversation we did not feel rushed in anyway which was so nice. To slow down and really relax.
