   We will not be returning. The food was not good enough for the service to be so atrocious. We came for a brunch/lunch and we’re informed the bartender wouldn’t come until 4 PM. We couldn’t order any drink that didn’t come in a bottle. An overall unpleasant experience.

   We enjoyed a lovely lunch at Harta. It was our first time there, having seen it listed on Restaurant Week. We shared small plates including the burrata, tuna crudo, shrimp a la plancha, and salt cod croquettes. Each was delicious. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wine list and was a true professional. We will certainly return.

   I loved my first lunch at Harta. The second time, there was too much sauce on the hake sandwich and Mediterranean salad. It was as though the chef was out to lunch yesterday.

    Great dinner at Harta - we loved the black bass and risotto with mushrooms! And I will go back to Harta many times for the just the delicious kale Caesar salad and spreads starter. Awesome chocolate torte and cheesecake. Friendly staff and good service - it was a great night out!

    The food was good; the wine list is bizarre (DRC? Really? Who is buying that here? No apparent theme to hold it together, tho the Italian selections are strong.) There’s no hiding that you’re dining in a hotel lobby…Service was impressively good at not noticing us, to the point we had to wave our arms in the air. Not likely to come back. Also: some of the seeds on the focaccia had a moldy flavor. I’m hypersensitive to that flavor so most people prob find it fine but better quality black sesame seeds would make an appreciable difference for everyone.

    Came to Harta during Restaurant Week Winter 2023. Our waitress Ksenia was very attentive and provided great insight into each dish we selected. To start, we ordered the kale Caesar salad and lamb ribs. The salad was light and refreshing. The lamb ribs were delicious and the tzatziki sauce accompanied the meat beautifully. For entrees the black bass was great and I really enjoyed the vadouvan broth. The black angus sirloin was great. The cocktail called Vanille was a highlight and enjoyable for folks who like drinks on the sweeter side. One part of my dining experience that I was not a fan of was the dessert. The basque cheesecake was too tart for my liking and the quince crostata did not taste restaurant worthy.

    We had dinner tonight and ordered the risotto. I found two hard pieces of plastic in the risotto and called for the manager. She came back and told us that the plastic came from a broken container the rice was stored in!

    Sophisticated spot with food to match! I had a delicious old fashioned to go with the excellent food. My friend loved her wine that the server recommended. The dips are flavorful, plentiful, and served with focaccia that we couldn't stop eating. Thinking about the foie gras with toasted bread has my mouth watering right now. You've never had falafel this refined and the fava bean hummus it's served with is the perfect soft foil to the falafel's crunch. Oh, and don't skip dessert! The quince crostata is the perfect balance of sweet and warming thanks to the expertly applied ginger syrup that adds just the right complexity.

    The cocktails and small plates were very good. The wine by the glass, ok and the wine list , the prices were way to high, almost 4 times that of the retail of the wines in my state. I don’t mind 3 times wholesale , but 4 times retail was beyond excessive. The service was exceptional

    Fantastic service. Good, small menu. Spreads were excellent, cod croquettes texture suffered, falafel slightly over, but food was very good. Hotel restaurant, not busy for Saturday lunch. Liked the light atmosphere, the styling, classic hip hop at a good volume.

    Our experience at Harta was amazing! The staff was attentive and the service was impeccable. The food, however, was the star attraction. The focaccia and spreads were my favorites (still dreaming about them!), but everything we tried on the menu was delicious. It's hard to get falafel right- most of the time it's too dry- but they managed to get the texture and flavor exactly right. And the mushroom risotto, shrimp a la plancha, lamb ribs, beets and desserts were all fantastic. Highly recommend!

    Food was quite good. Everything we ordered was yummy. Decor was truly odd. The patio was beautiful but the interior decor was reminiscent of a Howard Johnson’s. Music was too loud and not befitting a high end restaurant. Lighting was too bright for dinner service. Servers cleared dishes while some in our party were still eating. As I made the reservation for a dinner with two other couples, I was quite embarrassed by the experience and will not be back. A shame as the food was good, and I have been a fan of Chef Jonathan Benno for years.

    The food was good, not as fancy or special as I thought for the price. Good everyday dining, or business dinner. The decor was nice but it’s a new restaurant so it was pretty empty on a Saturday night. The speciality cocktails were innovative, but unfortunately not as tasty as just a traditional version. There’s a rooftop bar with a nice view of the Empire State Building, great for a post-dinner drink.

    Great flavors, presentation and service. Black bass was excellent, crisp skin, delicate interior. Croquettes were perfect inside and out. Chrissy made us feel very welcome and cared for. Can't wait to return. Bar Cima, on the roof, is a must-visit for Mezcal and Tequila lovers. Can't wait to return.

    It was a so-so restaurant by NYC standards. The food was tasty and the cocktail enjoyable but the meals did take an hour to arrive which was a little disappointing for lunchtime service. The service was ok but staff were certainly not overly attentive and each time a drink was wanted we needed to call them over. It was a nice enough lunch but not somewhere we would rush back to.

    Food took a long time to arrive, and there were only 2-3 other tables. Shared plates delivered without serving utensils, had to request twice. Staff congregated talking, while outside door was left open in 30 degree weather. Space is very brightly lit, feels industrial/commercial. I would recommend given them some time to resolve issues before recommending. Food was good, however I would never take a business client there.

    Lunch on a busy Saturday in December. We're looking for a relaxing place that wasn't mobbed near the Midtown Christmas attractions. We were a little concerned when we arrived because the place was empty....but the service was good, the drinks were good, and the food was excellent. We ordered a bunch of small plates for the table. Everything was delicious.

    Beautiful restaurant with welcoming staff, but the food was the standout. No wait for drinks or food. All the dishes were seasoned so perfectly with such variety of flavors. The octopus and lamb were cooked beautifully. The eggplant dip was spicy in the best way. I’ve had very bland and chewy croquettes at most places, but here they were full of flavor and melted in your mouth with a perfectly crisp exterior. I would love the recipe. All the dishes from the lamb ribs with labneh to the octopus with the cabbage and almonds to the hummus had such wildly different tastes and textures but somehow came together in a cohesive palate of flavors that left us wanting more. How did you make the lamb ribs so crunchy yet tender and juicy all at once? I’m going to stop with the pistachio sundae. It was incredible in every way. We will be back 10/10!

    Appetizers (Hummus and Kale Salad) were quite good. Unfortunately, the main dishes (Black Bass) were bland and uninspiring. I know Harta is rather new, so it is expected to be ironing out the kinks. Service was mediocre - the waiter was awkward, interjected during the meal a lot, and didn't know anything about the dishes. Cocktails were excellent.

    Excellent, friendly staff! Food needs some work, especially if expectations are raised by Jonathan Benno (though his name is not on the menu): shrimp in both appetizer and entree cooked 30-60 seconds too long. Foie appetizer didn't taste of foie, simply of chicken liver. Chicken in the tagine not as moist as it should be, given cooking method. Great cheesecake, though! Best of luck: W 39th is a tough block, and the design is simply a lobby offshoot.
