Inspired by the faded glory of Old Havana in Cuba, Havana opened its doors September 1996 in one of Vancouver’s most diverse neighborhoods. Havana is a unique part of Vancouver's cultural landscape, as it houses a Restaurant, Theatre and Gallery, all under the same roof.
The Restaurant offers Nuevo Latino Cuisine and authentic Cuban cocktails in a funky, distressed, casual setting. Havana has a large well-heated all-weather award winning patio that is situated directly across from Grandview Park with a view of the city skyline and the Coastal Mountain Range.
Havana Gallery is a contemporary art gallery that showcases local and international artists of all disciplines. A new show opens every two weeks on Sunday at 4:00 pm and everyone is welcome to attend. Havana Gallery receives no government funding and is solely supported by the Havana Restaurant and sales of art.

Havana Ratings and Reviews
Havana is my all time favourite place to go for breakfast. Best food and service out there. Thank you guys so much!
Food was delicious; Staff was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend the place.
We went to Havana's for my husbands bday, was extremely fun! we had a great waiter that didn't rush us, we were there before a play and had lots of time to kill... I ordered the mussels OMG so yummy, along with some corn bread. My husband had the Jambalaya and he ate every last bit of it ! I highly recommend the mojitos! I asked for it light on the sugar and they were delicious. We shared the crème Brule for dessert and was also fantastic. I will be going there again ... FOR SURE!
We had the enchiladas and it was excellent. The happy hour menu is also great. Overall great service, solid food and good value. Three with beer and an appy went for around 80 bucks which is pretty reasonable.
First time at this place with my wife and adult kids! Our waitress was great. She recommended the paella which I got and loved. I will definitely be back again with more friends and family
So enjoyed our dining experience. I booked there as we were going to the theatre. Knew nothing about restaurant so was very happy the restaurant was so great. Vegan options available for a couple at our table. Food was great..dessert was fabulous. Our waitress was lovely. Will definitely recommend and come back again. Thank you.
Great Cubano. Waitress was a little quick to take our apps and drinks before they were done.
We very much enjoyed our dinner at Havana. The only complaint is that we felt a little rushed: we had were there early in order to get to a show after dinner. Wine was poured and we'd barely had time to breathe before all of the food arrived - appetizers and mains at the same time. It was clear that they wanted the table. The food was delicious and service very good. Would have liked the opportunity to linger!
Excellent service. Group of 5 went before show at York theatre. Appreciated 15 percent off.
Great ambiance, good food
Carla made our pre-theatre dining experience laudable, ably assisted by her Aussie colleague. Super friendly staff who work together as a team to get food out hot and fresh. Lots of vegetarian choices, authentic nibbles, and shareable plates. Careful- some dishes have a bit of spice, including the fries. Unpretentiously presented plates, and even better value if you have tickets to the Cultch for that date. The Apple-pear upside down dessert combined pure perfection of flavours! Sunny days make for lazy patio dining with pitchers of sangria or beer...
Great food and atmosphere. Enjoyed my fish tacos and loved the chips and salsa.
The seafood bouillabase was not flavorful and for 20.00 there was not much going on. I was very disappointed. Did not say anything . No salt and pepper on the table. I got more bread than seafood...... for 20.00.
A bit frantic upon entry but staff were friendly and service oriented, noisy environment which quietened as we were there. Quaint decor, fast food service, friendly patrons, good food. Good discounts for Happy Hour and possible el fresco dining depending upon weather. Went for pre-theatre dinner before Christmas.
