   Food was fine. For unexplained reasons (“miscommunication”) delivery of the main course was excessively slow. Free dessert as compensation. I still tipped 18% but for an elite restaurant this was kind of poor service.

   The food was excellent as was the setting but what made it truly memorable was the service. Samantha is absolutely fabulous. All the other staff who looked after us were also wonderful. Highly recommend this restaurant.

   My fav restaurant in downtown. I always go for the 3 course tasting menu as it changes periodically. It’s a real treat!

   Overall the experience was good. Usually hit up Hawksworth every year and every year there’s minor changes to the menu but nothing drastic. What I did notice was the portions. Everything was less. Our waitress poured less wine for us compared to other tables. There’s no 6oz or 9oz option, simply “by the glass”. I’m sure a decanter or something was used to measure the ounces, nevertheless I saw what I saw. I was shocked to hear our waitress tell every table beside us and around us the Friday and Sunday specials, how oysters are $2, bottle of wine is $39 or half off or something, but not us! A quick thank you and she walked off. So we flagged a different waiter to tell us the specials because I was genuinely interested.

   The food was good and everything came out fresh, but was very fancy, and prices reflect that. The atmosphere was great however, and made for a nice night out.

   This is another restaurant I’ve always wanted to try. Located in the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, it gives off an old-school steakhouse vibe with dark wood paneling, featuring light quartz tabletops and white leather / light wood chairs. There is an elegant glass “chandelier” in the center of the room. I started with a double 1908 Empress gin & tonic ($20) while I went through the menu. I opted for the Parfait of Foie Gras & Chicken Livers ($37) and the Hawksworth Classic Burger ($29). I had a glass of Henriot Champagne ($19 at 50% off) with my parfait. Surrounded by apple jelly and served with toast points, the terrine was sublime! I ordered a glass of Lafarge pinot noir ($40) to accompany my burger. The patty was perfectly cooked, augmented by bacon, an onion ring, and a slice of cheddar. The accompanying fries were perfect. I ended my meal with a cup of coffee ($7). The bill came to $167.41CAD + tip, not inexpensive but worth it, to me. The next time I'm in town, I’ll go for dinner.

   I appreciated the seasonal menus, emphasis on local suppliers, and attention to detail. The service is top-notch at Hawksworth. Highly recommended.

    My wife’s entree was a old. They refired it, were very apologetic and camped it, along with a dessert. Server was fantastic. Great evening.
