    Food was really great! Overall food is top notch and ambiance is great for an elevated dining experience. However, we did feel a little ignored by our server. While we watched other tables get constant attentive service, our server came by a few times and we had empty wine glasses and was never asked for more even though we had a bottle on ice, and only asked what we were having and if we would like dessert. The table next to us was introduced with a happy anniversary and we did not get asked what we were celebrating, even though had special occasion in the notes.

    Overall everything is good except it is too noisy. It would be great if the restaurant can improve the noise reduction.

    Great location. Service was superb. Food: interesting. Loved the oysters. One quibble-I dislike upselling and seeing our otherwise perfect server sort of keeping score with another on how many successful upsells he made was irritating. We fell for it but in our naïveté were surprised when we saw the upcharges on the bill. Also- I definitely got the vibe that this is a hip place and as older adults, we were given the worst table in the place. Someone has to sit there, I get it but we had reserved some days earlier so we were disappointed. It was a special dinner for a cousin whom we see once a year who flies in from London. Not unexpected, but it was very pricey. Would I recommend it? Yes, but with caveats about the noise, and the cost.

    As always, incredible service and delightful food. Our favourite Vancouver restaurant has never disappointed to meet (and somehow always exceed) our dining expectation. Highly recommended.

    We came to Hawksworth expecting an excellent meal. Three of four dishes were excellent: the burette, the pork and scallops and the Halibut. Only the octopus was disappointing - a tiny portion of octopus and that was tough - not the treat we were expecting. The ambiance and service were excellent

    We sent a private message to Hawksworth articulating our disappointment in the quality and test of our dinner. We never received a response. We were very disappointed in our food based on reviews and the chef's reputation.
