Hazelwood was crazy busy when we were here this time. The restaurant is normally a 5 for me but the busyness took its toll this time -- a couple of bones in the chicken pot pie, a wait to be seated (despite reservations), parking worse than usual, that kind of thing. It's still a wonderful neighborhood restaurant with an extensive menu, good food and good energy.

Brunch was lovely. I ordered the strawberries and cream French toast… the best French toast I’ve ever had. Our waiter was fabulous… very attentive even tho she was very busy. Great experience! Will definitely go back.

We always love going to Hazelwood. Today we had brunch, food taste was good, but today the food was warm and not hot. It was disappointing as we have never had this issue before. More than enough staff available, however our server was not as attentive as other staff have been in the past.

This was our first visit. Good wine selection and a variety of beer options. We both had the Walleye Fish and Chips and it was delicious. And the French fries were awesome as well. We splurged on dessert and tried their Key Lime Pie - which was sinfully good! We will definitely be back!

Eggs Benedict was hard poached with no yolk. Limp bacon was crisp. Our waitress was wonderful though. One person’s first time there. We’ve been for years and very disappointed.

We had a great time at Hazelwood, it was our first time. The food was amazing! We had a great service, although I felt our servers had large sections and couldn’t get to everyone as quick as they wanted. The server we had worked really well with her section partner to make our experience great. The spinach artichoke is still on my mind, it was the best!

Was a friend from out of town birthday. I had been to Hazelwood several times and I hoped everyone else would like it as much as I did. And everyone did! Great service, excellent food and cocktails. Plus a free sundae for the birthday boy. A great time was had by all.

Our meals were probably the best we have had in a restaurant in many years. The food was prepared to perfection and we will return for another special occasion. The prices are a bit high but we had a gift card so it didn't matter

First time customer (birthday gift card) living in the northern suburb, I knew nothing about Hazelwood. Very, very good, loved the menu choices. Noise level a little high for conversation especially with one that has hearing aids. Will be back at some point.

How can I complain about over-effusive service? Because it seems superficial, insincere, and manipulative. But the food was delicious, and the service was reasonably attentive. We shared a special appetizer of grilled brussel sprouts—not my favorite veggie—but the preparation with grilled onion made them delectable. We paired them with Loon Juice cider, which was a great combo.

The service was exceptional, the food was pretty good and the booth was very comfortable. We used to come here for dinner when Hazelwood first opened and the cocktails were great and generous. However, the last several times we ordered a drink on the rocks, the lowball glass appeared to be about 1/2 to 2/3 of the size that they were originally, the glass was filled to the top with ice and the liquor filled up about 2/3 of the glass-approximately 4 to 5 sips. I believe that if a restaurant is of high quality, serve a drink the patron will remember and can't wait to return. Make the drinks larger and charge a few more dollars-no one will complain about the price if the drink is big. Also, where are the black cloth napkins for guests that are wearing dark colors? My lady got white lint all over her outfit. The owners have a good concept but to make it great all you have to do is listen to the customer. As the old saying goes, "The customer is King"

My first brunch menu experience. We were a party of 4. All of us cleaned our plates completely. Our wait person said, well, I guess everyone was happy with their meals. YES, we are. I have eaten here many times. Food, service is always great! Please don't tell your friends. Hah! Hah!

Which is the first restaurant that I think of when I have a special occasion to celebrate, or have out-of-towners visiting? Hazelwood! I know that I will get the best food, the most awesome server, and wonderful ambience. I have been to all three of the Hazelwood restaurants, and the fantastic food and service has been consistent at all three. Please keep up the great work!

The Chester's Turkey Avocado melt with rotisserie chicken was very delicious & a generous portion. I took home half so I could enjoy another day. My guests had the chopped salad which they said was the best and the Blackberry Brie Burger which they found to be good and with the Blackberry Brie was an especially tasty combo.
