The complimentary bread was so good! Our burgers and fries were great! My husband loved his steak and it was a perfectly cooked medium rare. We shared a variety of desserts. Flourless chocolate cake, vanilla bean ice cream and creme brulee. Ran into several friends. Staff was polite and welcoming. Can’t wait to go again!

Since we have to check online due to food restrictions, very disappointed when we got there and the menu was different. If you're going to "frequently change the menu", don't forget to change online. One meal was good but the other two were either burnt and unflavorful or overcooked.

Headwaters is a delightful establishment. The atmosphere encourages a warm, relaxed experience, but is equally favorable for those who want a special night out. The staff is very friendly, and the food is quite good. Headwaters is a welcome dining option to this part of Vermont.

Food was very good. Ambience and service was good considering that they were slammed. The before dinner drinks arrived with the appetizers. Overall, it will only get better as they get experience. Great people/really good food and they have done a nice job with the decor.

Four of us enjoyed a tasty cocktail and delicious butter with our baguette slices. The petit filet mignon, served on a bed of avocado strips and polenta, was perfectly cooked and most delicious. The pork belly and ground sirloin burger with home fries was also a big hit. The helpful waitstaff and colorful, draft-free dining room made for a relaxing night out with friends. Thank you.

Very attentive staff and very personable. Remove one couch from the front dining room and encourage more to eat in this room. A bit more of a wine pour in the glasses. Maybe it's the glass but I think a more generous pour. Filet mignon is excellent. I enjoyed it more the first time with the crab cake. I wasn't a fan of the fan in the dining room.

This is a great restaurant! Situated in a really cool town, the building quaint and historic. The place was buzzing on a Friday night and I can see why. The food is outstanding and all the servers friendly and committed to giving you high quality service and experience. Our one disappointment is that we were not told about the specials which we saw on a large chalkboard on our way out. So, be sure to ask about them!

Big fan of the menu, which is simple but solid. Every item is the best of its class within 20-30 miles, and yes I know that includes Montpelier. Pro tip: ask about off-menu cocktail options, and DEFINITELY make reservations as the dining room is quite small + people occasionally linger for hours at their tables, which can affect seating quite a bit during dinner service.

Our reservation was honored on time; Service friendly; Fairly diverse menu. Starters of Spring Rolls and Fried Cheese were delicious. My entree was the Halibut which was pretty unmemorable.

Pleasant interior but quite noisy. Food mixed - onion soup fair, paella very good, fish and chips excellent except for soggy chips, desserts excellent, spinach salad very good. Service a little slow but friendly and attentive. Pub looked inviting. We'll try it again for sure.

This is a new restaurant, needs time to get organized. We were a group of eight, gathering for a reunion. We were seated one hour after our 7:00 reservation. We waited somewhat comfortably in a small entrance sitting room, and the staff brought us cheese trays. No one asked if we might like drinks. The rooms are warm and a bit stuffy, even with an open window. However, once finally ensconced at our table, our server was terrific and the food, though not gourmet, was just fine, and we all enjoyed our evening. Again, many thanks to our wonderful server, We intend to go back, but not for awhile, probably just us or with only two other people, and with an early reservation, in hopes that their scheduling has improved, and the chefs operating in the very small kitchen have overcome some of the initial launch challenges. We wish them well. I recommend Headwaters with the above caveats.

The food was wonderful, and the service was great. If you're an introverted old woman, best skip a Friday, as it was packed! I'll be shooting for the middle of the week, next time. A super addition to what Cabot has to offer.

Wonderful atmosphere. Friendly, staff. Used coupon for free appetizers - Caesar salad and fried mozzarella. Ordered filet mignon (delish) and butternut squash (ok, but wouldn't order again). Don't think it will be a fan favorite. Skimpy on veggies with filet mignon. Special drink "gin flip" was tasty, but extremely overpriced for a tiny drink. Very slow (days) to respond to call, email and website message I left to make reservation. Overall - a bit pricey, (and we're from New York). Love the ambience, so will recommend, but only to those with deep pockets.

A hidden gem in itty-bitty Cabot village. I appreciate the vegetarian options. The veggie tower was delicious. My husband enjoyed the burger, and especially the fries! So good! My sour cherry lemonade virgin cocktail was really good too. I'm looking forward to returning for the portabella burger soon! The prices are quite reasonable for such quality dining.

An incredible asset in small-town Cabot - the Headwaters fits so many different and intimate spaces into one great restaurant - there are dining tables in their dining, room, couches and coffee tables around a fire place, and spots at the bar with high tables in their pub. The service was perfect - friendly, direct and well-timed, the menu is diverse without being overwhelming, and the food and drinks were excellent and well-priced. I'm live near Cabot and I am so excited to have this wonderful option in our region.

Overall great waited long time to get the check and was going to order desert but waitstaff very busy music was a bit loud we sat by the bar in the big high top between that and the general noise hard to carry on a conversation we will be back a wonderful asset for Cabot and food was delicious will recommend for sure!

We were seated too close to another couple with no option to move. Spinach salad was good but way too many beets, very little goat cheese, and only two candied walnuts Service was very good for being crowded Smash burger was excellent as was the filet and crab cake. Not having to drive to Montpelier for a good meal is a plus

We had a 5:30 pm reservation and were seated about 10 minutes after our reservation time. They were very crowded and the only empty table we saw was the 2 top right next to us. When waiter came to take our order he apologized and said the had a large number of walkins for the bar prior to us coming in and said the kitchen was running behind on orders. After ordering we received our dinner in about 30 minutes and food was excellent as well as the service. Noise level was not too bad and we could talk with each other without shouting. It looked like they had sound insulation on the ceiling. Overall we enjoyed our meal and will go back again

A wonderful addition to the area. Great food, great service, great drinks at great price points. Our table of 4, all former restaurant owners were so thrilled to have a table full of wonderful meals and not feel like we were price gouged.

We enjoyed our dining experience, the drinks took a long time to be delivered to us which was frustrating. The servers were very friendly and professional. My meal was wonderful (halibut), my spouse's fish and chips was not to his liking. I was very happy that the mural room was a good distance from the bar, since that was quite noisy. The ambience is lovely.
