I rarely write reviews… But, here goes a very general one! So, the apps we(5 of us) had, all were great to outstanding! We had several of their appetiser offerings, yummy!! Then came the entrees. The meats were well flavoured, however, poorly cooked which is to say poorly executed. I had the pork main, and my pork(shoulder) was super dry in some parts, and not as tender in the center as it should’ve been. Yes, braised in a delicious liquid, but as I stated, not executed well. One guest had the beef, it was so over done, I’m not sure how he ate it without complaining! Another person had the pasta special, a bolognese with house made campanelle pasta- his comment was “underwhelmed”. The trout entree guest, said her fish was too dry, aka overcooked. The only person who said their meal was ace, was the vegetarian! They her point; my side dish that accompanied my pork, was brilliant, and I wished I had a plate of that only instead! Whilst, it was a beautiful setting, and had the makings of a spectacular foodie night. It was overall mediocre at best! That being said, I would absolutely return and curate the meal solely around the appetisers and maybe a few of the veggie sides that went with certain mains(if they would allow that) and really stay away from any meat that requires basic technique! Winelist, was also a little lacklustre, and had to guide them on some wines and how to store them. At one point, I observed the bartender checking out the Tempranillo I wished to taste, and he went to whom I assume was the somm or wine director? And, I watched him nod in approval. When wine came to the table to taste. It was nasty, and had the aroma of having been open for a few days(which it had!) I wished i had had a spittoon, because I almost spit it out all over the table!!! Yikes!!!! I wish I could be their wine director! Wow!!! Yeah, so wine we settled on a selection that was satisfactory, but nothing to write home or here about any further! Cheers!

It was a first for us at this restaurant. We had the Sunday brunch & enjoyed it very much; the ambiance was delightful & the food wonderful. We look forward to the next dining experience.

Hearth is a beautiful, comfortable place to go for Brunch. The food is delicious and our server was delightful. A perfect place to go on Sunday morning and while you are there visit the wonderful art gallery.

My friend and I shared the feature brunch menu item, which was Eggs Benedict on fried green tomatoes, and the mushroom appetizer. Both were outstanding. We each had a different cocktail, which were unique and delicious. Our server was friendly, informative and attentive. Ambiance was fabulous with the floor to ceiling windows showing off the beautiful fall foliage. Wonderful!

We weren't excited about the move from the original location. We thought it would lose its original cozy charm and to be honest it really does lack that special ambience that made us fall in love with Hearth. There is none of the beautiful old decor the old place had. Our first time trying the new location was our anniversary which I mentioned in the reservation and they sat us at the worst table in the house, a small 2 seater ( the only i think) with a huge beam as wide as the table, blocking the view. However when that first bite of the most epic, decadent hollandaise sauce hit , the whole room melted away and we could have been sitting in the back alley of an arby's beside the grease trap and I wouldn't have cared. This meal reminded me of how blown away we were at our fist meal at Hearth. The most incredible food I have ever eaten. Great service, really humble pricing and lame straight edge decor but whatever, we'll be back , I'm hooked for life.

I had the green salad and the pork. The salad greens were very fresh and the salad was a bit overdressed with a very tart dressing that lacked the nuance their other dishes have. The pork was incredible, tender, lauers of flavor that revealed themselves several moments after taking a bite. Service was friendly, efficient and unobtrusive. Modern, clean interior. Try to get a table near the window to enjoy the view of the water. Would go back.

This is hands down the best food in SK. We shared the Taiga Tiger cocktail, a delicious glass of house Shiraz, the cukes and cottage, beet tartare, sausage and polenta, beef, sticky toffee pudding, Affogato, amaro flight of dessert wine and the chocolate truffles as well as a few custom cocktails. It was 10/10 delicious as always and I can’t wait to return.

Overall, the food was really good. The presentation, taste and quality is worth the price. We went there on Saturday night and booked 3 week ahead. However, we waited for an hour, like literally the full hour for our food. This was really frustrating.

This was our first time in the new location. The high tables and barstools are extremely uncomfortable and it really affected how long we wanted to stay. We opted to not get dessert because I was so uncomfortable in the tiny bar stool. The food as always was 10/10 and service was fantastic as well. We will be back but will opt to request a regular table next time so we can enjoy our time.

I have always loved Hearth, and I truly feel that the move to the Remai has only elevated the experience. The Food and Beverage and Service are exquisite. This past visit I was in for Brunch, I had the hash with mushrooms and added trout. Delicious! and a mimosa. The views in all directions are amazing. The outside surroundings are stunning and the view into the gallery with the Nick Cave installation is a huge bonus. My whole group basked in every detail. Ten hearts!

We dined there on a Friday evening. They seated us by the window so the view was great. We had the sampler meal with the wine parings. The food was outstanding and the services was great. We would definitely go their again. The price was what you would expect for the type of meal we had. Great place!

Two of us went for dinner on a Thursday night - a belated anniversary celebration. The staff were friendly and pleasant, and the service was suitably attentive. The setting is cosy but not noisy, and has a nice ambience. The food was excellent: we both had the beef plate and enjoyed it. The only quibble is that it was pretty pricey: $120 for two meals and two beers.

The fish appetizer was good. The mushroom appetizer was great. The mains were not great. The spicy perogie pasta was undercooked. The beef sacrificed flavour for presentation (chopping everything up into pieces that can be arranged). Service was good. Prices did not reflect portions or presentation. Way too high. Probably will not return.

A little disappointing, waited for a table even though we had a reservation. Once our drink order was taken we waited quite some time for our drinks. The server was fairly new and could not open the bottle of wine so my husband offered to help and opened it himself. Waited 2 hours and 20 mins for our food and think she may possibly had forgotten to put our order in? and when we finally did get it the food was cold. We were told there was a film shoot on the patio for the restaurant and that was the cause for the delays… I don’t understand that explanation as it was a table of four being filmed. Poor experience, looked like no one was in charge and everything was willynilly. Disappointed to say the least

Another great meal from Hearth. Staff were accommodating and very friendly! I had the trout dish, my friend had the beef dish and we shared the mushroom starter. Everything was delicious. If you can’t or don’t have a good night at Hearth than that’s truly an anomaly and not the norm. One of my favourite places in Saskatoon!

A great menu and the food tastes great but seriously lacking in the following: Really need to work on the place settings. Dinnerware lacks sophistication. Food presentation is lacking seriously, need help with that. Tried to serve me a glass of wine from a bottle that was opened….it smelled and tasted old. Not something that should ever happen in a so called 5 star restaurant. Waitress was fun but lacked the knowledge of the menu overall, need to work on that as well. Lots of potential but needs immediate work to maintain clientele and good reviews!

Went for a late lunch and enjoyed the daily cocktail feature, the beet and stone fruit salad, veggie sandwich, beef sandwich, fries and gravy and an Affogato and sticky toffee pudding to finish off. It was all perfectly delicious as usual and will always say 10/10 thank you Hearth!

Love the concept. This is the new location which is lovely but very noisy. Went on a busy fish and chips night which was delicious. A lot of new staff were training. Start to finish was 2 hours.

Beautiful location, great service, food was very subpar.. mushrooms were the best thing we ordered. Popcorn fries tasted bland and we sent them back for the trout… which was still underwhelming. The main courses were nothing special. The spicy perogie pasta was very plain, undercooked, seriously ZERO flavour. The stuffed chicken was the equivalent of any type of chicken you can make at home. Literally, have tasted better food made at home. Very disappointed because a lot of locals RAVE about Hearth, was excited to try it but all of the food was very basic, under seasoned, no special or rich flavours coming through at all. A waste of $155. The restaurant itself was a great location, good atmosphere, great service, they took back the popcorn fries because we didn’t like them, and then didn’t have the heart to send back our mains too, just so disappointing!!!!!
