Food awesome, service patchy for a solo diner. Restaurant fairly empty and I get a table by the front of house work station, why not a window seat? Bread came out after the starter and I had to ask for it. Waited quite some time for the main and the dirty main plates left on my table for 10 mins before being collected. Kind of felt forgotten about.

We had a fabulous lunch here. The service was outstanding and the food was incredible, all fresh, local produce that was put together beautifully. We celebrated our anniversary and the staff were so lovely including some free bubbles and dessert! Highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again

We arrived on time and were shown to our table and told someone else would be along soon. Had to wait quite sometime before we got a waiters attention. No drink while waiting or menu to look at. Seemed strange for such a hyped restaurant. Were also far more cold dishes than what was expected given the "Hearth "name.
Dishes however were excellent and bread, particularly, brilliant.

Toilets dirty and not well maintained!
I was quite shocked in a 5 star !
Service during dinner good at start but towards the end we felt a bit neglected
I would go back because the food wa really good and local but lots of room for improvement!

We invited friends visiting from France. They are well acquainted with gourmet food. They don't speak a lot of English. Their reactions were remarkable.
Somptueu╳ - sumptuous.
Inoubliable - unforgettable.
Impeccable - impeccable.
Sublime - sublime.
Best fish ever eaten in Australia. Best lamb ever eaten. Camembert ice-cream ? Really?
Unutterably delicious.
We could not have hoped for a better experience for them, and us.

A big open space feel about the restaurant and would loved to have sat outside but was a windy day. Food and service was top notch, couldn't fault. A bit pricey but I knew what to expect before going but very much enjoyed the experience.

A great evening out with a fantastic menu. I would like to see more items on the menu though as the choice is limited. I'm sure the menu is seasonal so will have to go back. Fantastic service and presentation.

The food was outstanding but the service was a lot to be desired. We’re ignored fir about fifteen minutes after we were shown to our table. Plenty of staff around but all had tunnel vision and were very task driven. Finally asked if we wanted a drink. My husbands beer came before my drink. He was half way through it before I could flag down waitress to ask where my drink was. She said she would check. Came back and stated mine was taking longer “as cocktails take longer to make”! Terrible comment to make considering both drinks should come at the same time. Beer should have waited so we both received drinks together. My husband felt embarrassed as he felt he had to wait till mine arrived. After that we had empty drinks and had to flag down another waitress for a second drink. You just don’t expect this from this sort of dining experience. Probably, won’t go back for a while. The food was fabulous but service was terrible.

The food was absolutely outstanding - imaginative and respectful of the various produce and techinques.
Unfortunately, the service and the venue itself are not up to standard, which is a shame. In terms of service, hopefully things will improve with time - it is still early days and staff might still be in training.
In terms of the venue, whilst very clean, it feels sterile and does not really have any personality. It has the feel you would expect at any buffet style restaurant forming part of a hotel. This restaurant does form part of the Ritz-Carlton, however, I expected more in terms of ambiance and service.

We had a very memorable evening at the Hearth Restaurant. From the moment you walk in it’s a fine dining experience. The Maitre de was lovely in seating us and understanding that we were slightly late. The waiting staff are incredible and well versed on the menu and wine list, especially the lovely guy from The Netherlands. I recommend their recommendations. We were delighted and surprised by the food that was world-class and flavoursome. One small negative feedback, I had the fish dish with squid ink croutons that did not look inviting. Of course, all food should be wonderfully attractive upon presentation. We would highly recommend The Hearth.

The place could be top ranking. The ingredients are very fresh and local. The fusion objective is sound but far from the target. The real problem is that prices already assume the target has been reached. At current prices diners will dine elsewhere. The high mark up extends to the wines.

We had a memorable dinner at the heart for a friend’s birthday. Food was amazing. Meat was melt in the mouth. But more importantly, my friend was made extra special because the staff brought out our dessert and put a candle on one of them, plus the chef wrote on a greeting card to wish her a happy birthday. The little details matter. The ambience was nice and the minimalist decor was classy.

Amazing ambience as you walk in. The staff was amazing and attentive, and on top of that, they gave my boyfriend a candle and a card for his birthday. The food was amazing. For the quality of service, ambience and food, this is good value! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

We were disappointed, having decided to try Hearth after reading a glowing review in The Weekend Australian. Although it was not very busy, service was poor: the wrong entrees were nearly put on the table, not enough portions of bread for the table etc. The food was uninspiring, and not what we expected given the hype.

Overall, the experience at Hearth did not suit the price tag. The entrees were lovely and suitable priced and sized and came out within a reasonable time. However we waited 50 minutes for our mains to arrive; and upon arrival, the mains were the same size as the entrees. I ordered the lobster and it was rather chewy and flavorless. The steak was tasty however the size of the dish was pretty underwhelming. The service was okay however definitely not a 5 star experience.

Entrees were a little pricey.
Mains and sides were excellent.
Some quite reasonably priced wines.
Just thought the ambiance was a little lacking for fine dining.
