    Vegetarian appetizer came with meat. Had to send back. Vegetarian steak was not tasty. Small portion. The restaurant is beautiful. The menu should include more of a variety of appetizers and side dishes.

    Enjoyed an evening with friends. Excellent food, particularly the pizza. Only disappointment was table placement next to very busy waitstaff computer station, despite reserving superior table a month in advance.

    I have been here three times now. Twice for lunch and the lastly for dinner. The food is very good, although a tad pricey. But, it was so loud at dinner that we had trouble hearing our table companions. If I return for dinner again and it is still so noisy (they call it energetic…I call it obtrusive noise) I will limit my visits to lunch. Despite the good food and pleasant surroundings, it is obnoxious to have to compete with the music to have a conversation with your companions. This is not the first time we have had to stop going to a good restaurant because of the noise. The Fun-ghi pizza is FANTASTIC and the orecchiette delicioso! My companion loved the roast chicken and the tiramisu is quite delectable. Skip the toffee pudding…it is banana bread with a sweet sauce. Crème brulée is also excellent. I will recommend this restaurant with a ‘Noise’ caution.

    I was disappointed this time with the food quality. Just a month ago I had the Waldorf Salad and it was wonderful, on Tuesday it was poor - too much dressing and not at all what I had just three weeks before. Food consistency at a higher end restaurant to me is extremely important. I will come back and try a few more times but please do something to ensure consistent food quality!!!

    The moderate noise level is a 5 star in my opinion. There was an amazing vibe, but we were not disrupted by loud tables. It was my first time at Heist. It was by far one of the best meals, and best service I have ever had. The attention to detail in the service and decor was AMAZING. I look forward to visiting your fantastic establishment.

    I had risotto and it was like a Knor Sidekicks. The scallops had no flavour. My colleague had the steak frits which had a gravy like glaze on it (au jus?!) and plopped on a large plate on top of frozen like fries. It was SO expensive and so disappointing.

    We loved our experience at Heist. I had to wear my coat as it was cold and It was a bit long before our meal came but the staff was great. We will certainly go back.

    This is my second revue of Heist Restaurant. We had a birthday dinner on August 24th, 2023 which didn't go very well. {see my last review} However I stated at the time we would return again on September 8th, 2023 to give Heist another chance. Our reservation was for 8:45 pm. Upon entering we were told our table was just being prepared. We were invited to sit at the beautiful bar and they would tell us when the table was ready. Within minutes Jesse the Manager came over a greeted us in the most professional way. He recognized us and was very pleased we had returned to give Heist another chance. Within minutes we were directed to a wonderful table for 5 with a beautiful street view. The manager Jessie came over once again and said he hoped we would have a better experience stating the issues we had experienced before had been addressed. Immediately we were approached by our waitress. From this point on the service couldn't have been better. Every part of our meal flowed perfectly. The food was amazing and the atmosphere is the best in Kingston. At the end of the meal Jesse the manager came back to our table to ask how our dinner was. Totally professional with outstanding service and food was my comment which made Jesse very pleased he had turned around a bad experience to one of the best experiences we have ever had. In conclusion I feel this is the top restaurant in Kingston. The ambiance, service, management and food are the best you will find anywhere. I am so pleased to give Heist a 5 out of 5 recommendation. Rest assured we will be back. William

    Service impeccable. Sides to main unremarkable and a touch disappointing. Main fantastic; appetizer very good. Wine left noticeable residue in carafe and in glass. Server says this particular wine had issues with filters and caused issues…question, why carry it? Satisfactory overall but could definitely use some refinements

    HEIST is lovely. A different feel from most Kingston restaurants. The service was optimal. A wine list that includes both local and otherwise. I had the scallops for an appetizer, as recommended by our server. I then had the Wild Mushroom Risotto - both were amazing. Price reflects the restaurant. Would recommend!

    A simple evening of a couple of pizzas and a side of truffle Parmesan fries. A couple of Manhattans and a chocolate semi Fredo for dessert. Simple and absolutely perfect.

    Every time I have come to Heist, it's been a great night out! Delish food, attentive service, and good company. Would recommend eating dinner in the courtyard, or cocktails at the front bar. Either way, a classy vibe with a creative menu!

    Revolution at Heist. Heist has everything going for it to be Kingston's top restaurant. The interior decor and fit and finish is outstanding. Staff were attentive and very professional. Especially the manager. However the revolution I am speaking about unfortunately isn't one which will take over the world. The revolution is the weakest point and it's in the kitchen. Arriving at 7 pm for my wife's birthday dinner we were seated and within 10 minutes our waitress appeared. after around another 15 minutes we had ordered our food. My wife ordered an appetizer, salad and main course. I ordered salad and a main. 20 minutes later my wife's appetizer arrived. {total 45 minutes} After spending 20 minutes eating the appetizer the dish was removed. {65 minutes total}Since I still hadn't eaten anything I was eager for my salad. after a 25 minute wait the salad finally came. {90 minutes in total to finally get a bite to eat} I mentioned to the waiter they had a problem. Salad's were eaten and dishes removed. {110 minutes there to eat my salad} Manager comes over to apologise and comps us for our salad saying something about new staff. I tell him he has huge kitchen issues and should probably lock the door that night and have a talk with the kitchen staff. He agrees and we wish him luck. Finally the main course comes and we finish our meal. It's been 150 minutes in total with plenty of time in between to reflect on everything in the universe. We will return on September 8th with our daughter and her fiancé and give Heist a chance to redeem itself. Like we said ... Heist has everything going for it to be the best restaurant in Kingston. Hopefully the Revolution in the Kitchen will be over by the 8th of September.

    Terrific service. Amazing cocktails. Delicious duck tacos, but they are missing a fresh/crunch element (frisé, crisp of some sort?). Perfect seafood pasta. Veal was good, could be served on tomato sauce. Seating near the pizza kitchen had a fruit fly issue - needs attention. Overall a delightful experience.

    The food, drink and service was outstanding. We were greeted warmly at the door by well dressed employees. We start at the bar with drinks and oysters. Both were delicious I would have been content to remain at the bar, however we were not rushed to get to our table. The wine selection was impressive. Our meals: lamb, Caesar salad, scallops and seafood pasta were amazing. Heist was clean, spacious and inviting with beautiful decor. We will return. Thanks Chef Lindsay and staff!

    I’ve been to Heist 5x and will continue to choose Heist. The variety of the menu will please everyone. The food is excellent as well as the service and the ambiance. Great selection for seating.

    This is our second visit to Heist. We were therein the first week it opened. The food is good and the atmosphere is great. Although our waitress was VERY friendly and trying very hard. I found service not exceptional. Two of us ordered the lamb but I ordered rare and my friend ordered medium rare. When the food was brought to us I asked the server, not our waitress, if I was being served the proper plate and I was dismissed as of course. It was wrong. Staff is great but needs proffessional training.

    Great gem in Kingston. They have a great sommelier with 1/2 bottles of wine - I like red and she likes white was perfect! Our waiter was Marcelo, super nice, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place!!!

    The restaurant decor is beautiful! Much bigger then I thought. The staff was very knowledgeable and obviously trained well on the menu and wine list. The food was absolutely outstanding. I highly recommend trying it out. We will definitely be back again
