   We ate for the first time at Heist last night. Staff was very pleasant and obliging (We asked to change tables) All three of us found our different dishes delicious. Go there for terrific dinner out.

   Richard was friendly and helpful, willing to show us around and tell us about their wine club options. The décor is amazing. And this restaurant has the nicest table settings I've ever seen. Not the typical "mass out of a box" utility stuff used by other places. The music was too loud for a romantic dinner with quiet conversation. The food was mediocre, especially considering how expensive the restaurant is. It was just garlicky and oily. Food was not cooked properly. Our server didn't tell us about the specials and, after asking us if we were celebrating anything, talked more about her parents' anniversary that we wanted to hear about.

    I found it too noisy. The food was fine, but small amount for the price, it was very expensive. Service was slow even though it wasn't too busy.

    My husband and I both enjoyed our meals and the overall experience. I had the Caesar Salad and Mushroom Risotto. Both were excellent. There is a good selection of international wines by the glass and bottle.

    We were sat at the far end of the restaurant overlooking Wellington St. The room was beautifully decorated, the waitress was excellent and the food amazing. The only things that kind of ruined the ambiance were 2 things: The Air-conditioning unit was loud no to mention freezing, and the choice of teckno-beet music was very distracting and annoying, which took away from the ambiance. Other than these small things, we had a vey enjoyable evening and would return.

    I highly recommend visiting Heist. The food is amazing, well prepared and the quality of meats and other ingredients is exceptional. Service was great, the staff are friendly and so welcoming. I would definitely go back!

    Beautiful restaurant, excellent food! The service was superb, and the cocktails were sublime. Only gave four stars for value because it is an expensive restaurant, but we knew that before hand. The ambience, food, and service make everything well worth an expensive night out. It will definitely be the first of many nights for us at this wonderful Kingston restaurant.

    First impression was the decor. Very chic, contemporary and comfortable. The 'redo' of the building is outstanding. The staff were cheerful and very efficient. The menu is great and our choices were delicious.

    Food and service good and pleasant, but why create something so lovely with no regard for sound pollution. When I can’t hear the person I am dining with, it detracts from all the positives. Surely this problem can be remedied?! I could only recommend with a warning. It takes away from the concept of fine dining when such a lovely venue does not lend itself to relaxed stress-free conversation.

    My new favourite restaurant in Kingston. Amazing, creative and beautifully plated food and great service. Love the different rooms, too! It's on the high end in terms of cost, but worth it!

    Great new location for fabulous Italian food! Sells itself as high-end, but I wish they used 'fresh' elements in their cocktails- using concentrate devalues the 'experience'. Service on a busy Saturday night was excellent- the food was fabulous!

    A very lovely dining area, the seats were well spaced and gave a decent amount of privacy for dining. I loved seeing the Last Word on a cocktail list, and I understand there is no garnish detailed on the menu, but in my bartending experience a cocktail is never complete without a garnish, but it could have been mixed better. The duck confit tacos were fabulous and better than my main. Wild mushroom risotto was fine, nothing particularly stunning but it was tasty, if not a touch salty. My guest had the gnocchi and it was indeed excellent. The service was prompt and professional. Overall the experience was good, but the prices were high for the quality presented. I still can't quite figure out the identity of the restaurant though. Looking forward to try again !

    Second time, and it did not disappoint. We decided to celebrate our anniversary with dinner and wine, and of course couldn’t say no to dessert. Our waitstaff was pleasant and accommodating. Our chairs were so comfortable and we didn’t feel smothered by the nearby tables. We were able to talk and enjoy each others company. It was a great way to spend our anniversary :)

    Sage was our waitress and she was amazing! Give that girl a raise. She was so knowledgeable, very fast to find answers when unsure and constantly happy to help/cheerful. Would come back again! Food was delicious, wine was good and cocktails were nice too.

    Our first visit to Heist was wonderful. We were seated in the large, bright atrium dining room at a quiet table for two. Service was impeccable, very attentive from the start. A fabulous menu, perfectly prepared and presented; a solid wine list allowed us to pair something nice with our food. A great experience, a new favourite spot!
