   Restaurant did not honor reservation made on Open Table. When we arrived, we were rudely informed that the kitchen was going home and there should be no reservations after 8pm despite availability on Open Table for 8:15, 8:30, 8:45 and 9:00.

   We wanted to celebrate our 42nd anniversary and hadn’t been to The Hereford House in Shawnee before. It was a wonderful choice. Everything was superb from the service to the food to the ambiance. Will definitely go back!

   It was Mother's Day so it was very busy but the service was subpar. It took several minutes to have our waiter assigned to us, we had to ask for silverware multiple times, the salads were incorrect (dressings/toppings) and the baked potato wasn't loaded so we had to get a new one. Like I said it was very busy, but the poor wait staff and kitchen didn't appear to be communicating very well. We'll of course be back. My Mom LOVES it there :-)

   This was the first time I took my wife here for Mother's day. We were seated quickly. Megan - our waitress was extremely nice and professional and took great care of us. The food was excellent from the appetizers to the desert! Very enjoyable experience and the wife loved it.

   We had a nice Mother’s Day dinner. The waitress that served us endured the heat in the patio graciously, so that my mother in law could be warm. My mother in-law really enjoyed it. The food was good and we weren’t hurried. Thank you all.

    Our server, Jenna, was great. She was attentive, had opinions when asked and smiled. The food was well prepared and full of taste. My wife and I really enjoyed our time and I was especially pleased that she was pleased since it was Mother's Day!

    Went here to enjoy a good meal. Placed order and 15 minutes later I was informed they were out of stock on what I wanted. First of all, they should have known when I ordered and if not, should have known and advised me within a minute or two. Ended that I ordered something that I was not really in the mood for and wasn't impressed with it.

    I have found that over time the overall experience while still good has lost something over the years. I recall when I first moved to KC and dined on 20th & Main - what an experience. It’s just not the same. Still a good home town restaurant. Our server Allie was friendly and attentive and made some good suggestions.

    Server messed up our order. We ordered 2 orders of Jalapeño Cornbread. It was never brought to us. I ordered my KC Strip well-done and it was served to me medium. My Mom didn't want mushrooms in her Quinoa and it had them in it. My Sister didn't want mashed potatoes and it was served with it. Apparently, the server didn't listen when we ordered. Also, both people who ordered the quinoa were disappointed in the small size. It was like an appetizer not a meal serving.

    Salads are outstanding…dinner always just average! Usually our service is good but this time it was slow….quite a while to get drinks and sides were just warm…we will go back but it’s just an average meal for the price!

    Thought it was a little expensive. Every table around us had rolls but we didn’t get any. But the goat cheese jalapeño corn and white chocolate bread pudding was fabulous

    We had to send our prime rib stew back because it wasn’t hot. We did get hot stew but it took a long time. It also took a long time to get our salads. We had lunch there and it took 2 hours. In the past we have had very good service and hot food.

    Prime rib was just ok. Not very tender. Chicken breast was very good. Green beans and baked potato weren't very hot when served. Just warm. Very good rolls. Had a free birthday dinner, which was the reason for our visit. Friendly server.

    My wife had a salmon BLT and said it was very good. I had boneless chicken wings and thought the number and size were somewhat small for the price. Our server was very friendly, courteous and attentive!

    Easter Sunday and we had a corner booth. The staff were really busy so we understood a bit of a delay in getting our order, but the food makes up for it! Casey was a gracious server and we had a wonderful - will definitely be back!

    Our server was great, very accommodating in anticipating our needs. Enjoyed the brunch. Might have been a bit better if they hadn’t crammed everything onto one plate. A great alternative to the typical crowded Easter buffets most restaurants have.

    My Ribeye Steak was over cooked, tough, and flavorless. The Ranch potatoes were dry and awful. I've been coming to HH for 50+ years and the food was truly disappointing.
