It was great.. being open on Thanksgiving was awesome for us. They had traditional Thanksgiving food for those that like that and a select menu for those that didn't witch was great.. we showed up early to actually have a drink at the bar before out renovation but they asked if we'd like to sit now we did. All the staff was very pleasant smiles etc. Our waiter was great he made sure food was out drinks were full as well as making sure our meal was made to our liking... we will definitely be making a neither trip out there.. well worth it

Very happy that our Thanksgiving Day lunch was hosted by Hibernian! We had an excellent server. The food was great and the wait on food was short. This is our second Thanksgiving there and I believe will be our next if they are open. The Reuben sandwich is SO yummy and the Haddock fish and chips are delicious. Chicken wings a must. Hope you enjoy your visit as much as we do each time we go.

We are regulars at Hibernian but this was our first time for the Thanksgiving meal. It was delicious and huge! We should have split a plate. It was so much food neither of us could finish it (and we are big eaters.) Thanks to all the employees who worked on T-Day. We appreciate you!

When our party arrived for the reservation, it didn’t seem the person at the desk knew we changed to indoor seating due to cool temps. (No staff reply from morning request through Open Door reservation) …Nor was a mention of special engagement celebration…I had to go ask the front desk, and server brought special dessert. All was great, except need for extra asking. Question: does Open Door communicate reservation info to restaurant? Since it took awhile before a waitress was assigned our table, I didn’t give outstanding rating. Once I went to ask for a server, all was good. Note: the new plantings & extra outdoor seating are a real improvement!! Also, the parking lot was pretty bad and needed the uplift …5 stars for that!!! The exterior now matches the great good:))

The person I went with got the Reuben sandwich with a Caesar salad and she really enjoyed it. I got the lettuce wedge and a side of Mac & cheese. Though it was good I recommend that you use the thick, chunky bleu cheese dressing and sprinkle some Parmesan cheese on top of the Mac & cheese for a little more flavor. That’s my 2 cents worth.

My wife and I were celebrating our 45th Wedding Anniversary and looking forward to a relaxing dinner and evening. We arrived early for our reservation and had a couple drinks at the bar. The bartenders were very good and attentive. We were seated for dinner and we both ordered Bangers and Mash, an Irish dish. When we received our plates from the kitchen, the meal was tasteless, both the bangers and mash. We couldn’t believe an Irish Pub could mess this up that bad. Our waiter who took our order never returned until we were ready for our check. He never checked during the meal to see if we needed anything. My wife and I would have had another drink. Very disappointing.

Not sure what all the hype is about here. We made a reservation, were taken to the worst table In the place. Asked to move and were accommodated. Food was mediocre, service ok nothing special. Average at best

This was a nice place, good atmosphere, service was also good. Some of the food was excellent (fish and chips) but some was not as good (Reuben). Bacon and bleu burger was good and the onion rings were fantastic. Would recommend going because it is a nice place.

I have never been disappointed with the Hibernian Restaurant. The Reuben Sandwich is absolutely so tasty (in fact, I just ate my take out half for lunch a few minutes ago.)

Hibernian is a great place, just not for brunch on Sunday. We love their burgers and fish and chips at lunch or dinner, but brunch is a big disappointment. Their Bloody Mary is poor as the only distinguishable flavor is Tabasco with no garnish or salted rim, the Mimosas appeared to be made with flat prosecco or champagne and the food was sad. The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich must have been made with a robin's egg. I've never seen so little egg on a sandwich, and the pancakes were thin enough to be called crepes but without the flavor. The servers must have to pay for the syrup they provide themselves because what was first delivered wasn't enough for two servings of pancakes and our request for additional provided an additional ounce in a small plastic cup. Definitely try Hibernium if you haven't, it's a gem, just skip it for brunch.

Food was excellent. Service? Not so much. We were seated right away, but did not see a server for 15 minutes. The first server to approach said "sorry, not sure if you are in my section or not." He left and returned to tell us he, in fact, was not our server. We assumed he had found our server. A few minutes later I made eye contact with the manager who promptly got things rolling. Our server was apparently helping the table that came in after us. From there it took a while for the server to actually take our order, but we couldn't ask her when she was at the table the previous 2 times because she took off so fast after saying what she wanted to say. Between the servers, it was just a blame game. Cooks were on fire, though! Great food, just bad service.

Coming to eat at the Hibernian Pub is a treat. The food is great; the employees are all very friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I really enjoy looking at all of the decor; everything is really interesting. Going out to lunch maybe once a month is a real treat to me and my friend and I must say that the Hibernian Pub is our top choice.

Food was fine, but being served brunch one hour and ten minutes after being seated on Mothers Day was very dissatisfying - especially since all we ordered was eggs and pancakes. They were clearly understaffed and I get it, that’s a thing and sucks. But cmon. Figure it out for Mothers Day. Eggs should never take an hour plus

Absolutely loved the atmosphere, very cozy and pub-ish. Was expecting great things. Unfortunately, the traditional shepherds pie was bland and tasteless and my daughter could only eat the cabbage with the corned beef and cabbage because the corned beef was too tough. Apparently everybody had ordered the make your own burger Monday night special because it was only five dollars. And none of the young people were actually drinking. Looks like they were just coming out to get a cheap burger and socialize. It’s a shame that the traditional Irish dishes were not only almost an edible but really expensive. I think it was 17 and $19 for our respective dishes. Probably five dollars more than that should’ve been for each. Super disappointing but an amazing ambience and atmosphere. Please fire your chefs and bring your price is in line with reality! I would like to go back again and not be disappointed!

After MANY years passing since I've been to Hibernian, met friends for Sunday Dinner. Given the unfortunate combination of dining there the day AFTER the Raleigh St Patrick's Day Parade, and Restaurant Industry Issues. We probably shouldn't have expected much. Service was friendly, but very basic "What do you want to order" situation. Then after drinks and food were brought out, waiter disappeared. He didn't return until we were finished. We initially ordered cocktails and beer. When our food arrived, I was wanting to order another beverage with my meal. Wasn't gonna happen. I didn't even have a water. Speaking of drinks, unless you want beer, the specialty drink list is a limited sugary menu from a 90's college bar. I had to resort to whiskey and soda. Even the beer list was minimal when compared to many of other Bar/Restaurants in the triangle. Even other Irish Pubs. Most were not draft. The food was just ok, with exception of the generous portions, and the fries. They were great. The other fare is just kind of bland, and not memorable. Atmosphere, and ambiance is still probably the best thing going on here to me. The menu just makes It feel stuck in time. I get it's an Irish Pub, and not a gourmet restaurant. However, I feel like with all of the competition in the area, especially within the beer scene. The food should make me feel justified in returning to Hibernian. Unfortunately, not the case for me. Too many other great Irish Pubs, and bars in the area to rush back.

I have always wanted to experienced this place. Cris our waiter was amazing very knowledgeable, he suggested on the menu and he was very helpful and fun. The food was amazing too. I walked there with not expectations and after this time, of course I will come back for more. We sat outside and it was awesome, service was amazing. Everyone should give it try.
