Highland Lodge is pleased to offer a full service Restaurant & Bar on site. Enjoy the sunset views over Lake Caspian from the convenience of our Queen Anne Porch or nestle up to our cozy little bar and get to know your neighbors and drinkmakers. Our cocktail list has been described as one of the best in the state- featuring producers such as Barr Hill Gin and Whistlepig Whiskey.

Check out our local craft beer lists on Untapp'd. We are just a stone's throw from Hill Farmstead Brewery which has been rated #1 in the world several years running. We have a permanent HFS draft line at our bar.

Led by Executive Chef, Kyle Rowell, our dinner menu boasts local and seasonal items that highlight our special little regions thoughtful producers and growers.

We offer dinner service four nights a week, Thursday- Sunday from 5-9pm. In the Summer months our bar is open for Margarita Monday as we host Caja Madera Taco Truck out in the beer garden from 5-9pm [ Memorial Day- Labor Day ].

Had dinner one night and the food was fantastic. Had ribs with a drizzled blueberry barbecue sauce. I was hesitant about this sauce but it was crazy good. Had breakfast the next two mornings and I would not rave about it but it was ok.

A great dinner and amazing salads....the quality of the food and flavors all worked together and were delivered hot to the table! The cocktails were great. Beer selection was robust. A good size bar crowd so there was some delay to get the drinks but otherwise, all good.

We had the pasta primavera special and their brownie sundae in a glass dessert and I had a chocolate martini. Great food and great drinks. We sat on the porch and had a lovely view. Just all around perfect in every way.

We enjoyed an excellent meal here. The wild mushroom toast, the tomato tarte and grilled chicken marbella were all exceptionally tasty, well beyond what most restaurants in the area serve. We sat outside for the view.

Very busy night there. Unfortunately we got one cocktail after 35 mins and the beer and other 2 cocktails after 45 mins. Table of 6 that came after us got theirs long before us.

Great setting it was too cold for the porch but with the right weather and/or clothing it would be amazing above the lake! Food was very good not a ton of options but all done well and something for everyone. Cocktails were good wine selection seemed extensive.

We started with a drink in the bar, followed by a lovely dinner outside on the porch. Waitstaff was attentive, friendly and all of the above! Truly enjoyed our experience at Highland Lodge!

Fantastic food. Beautiful views. Great cocktails and pairings. Service was friendly and considerate to get the kids meal out right away. Only feedback is that the steak knifes were comically dull and need of sharpening. We will be back for sure!

Unfortunately, we will not return there due to the unpleasant atmosphere we had while eating on the porch. There was a party there that was so loud so we could barely hear each other talk and we had to request to be moved inside. Definitely.not a memorable experience.

The appetizer - Summer Tart was the best thing we tried. The tart crust was nice and flakey and the combination of the tasty tomatoes and pesto sauce was perfect. Both the chicken dish and the hamburger were quite tasty, too. I wished that there were more dessert items to consider, but the gluten-free brownies with rich vanilla ice cream was a nice way to finish a meal. Hope they consider adding lattes on the menu, too!

We have been coming to the lodge for a few years now. Great atmosphere, great staff, but last night the food really did not live up to the price. Two chicken dinners at our table, one was piping hot and the other only lukewarm at best. Out of five diners the happiest one was the child with the chicken tenders and fries. At these prices, that's just wrong. It will be a while before we sit down for another meal there.

Amazing bartenders, amazing servers, amazing cocktails, and amazing food! Can’t recommend enough. Stop by early for your reservation and have a drink in one of the rocking chairs on their porch, you won’t regret it!

We stopped in after a day at the lake & it was everything we could have asked for. Cold drinks & hearty burgers & fries! We sat out on the front porch & took in the remainder of the Summer Sun! Love Love! Highland Lodge!

Nothing great, food was ok but kind of bland . Lots of kids, no air conditioning. I had pork (large dish side of menu) wife had a bistro steak (small dish side of menu). Two drinks for her, two draft beers for me, bill came to $118. No salads, no appetizers, no desserts. $48 of the bill was drinks, her Grey Goose vodka tonics were $16 apiece. I guess they think the summer lake people are ok with being price gouged but this local is not. Probably will never go back!

Hi George, Thanks for the review! For the locals that actually live in Greensboro/ Craftsbury we provide a local's pass that gets them a discount on the total bill. We feel that our food/ drink prices are appropriate given what we offer here. $118 for two dinners and four drinks is reasonable. Do take care!

We made reservations for Saturday then had a medical emergency in the group and had to postpone. We had insufficient internet connection to cancel on open table. We ended up sending an email through another person's account who had service. We felt bad sending a last minute cancellation without being able to talk to a human.

We had 9 people in our party and they were able to accommodate us very well. I like the old inn atmosphere. The food was much improved from the last few years. A nice choice of vegetable centered dinners and small plates with a few meat and chicken dishes, which I did not eat but heard were very good, as well as the basic local burgher for the three teenage boys with us. Moderately priced, a good meal with great ambience.

Highland Lodge does an incredible job and is one of the best restaurant and bar locations in the Greensboro area. We love their cocktails and their beer and wine selection. The food is delicious and creative, and the staff are friendly and fast.

The house hamburger was an event for me. The crunch of the homemade pickles blended well with perfectly cooked meat. The lemon herb aioli deemed it unnecessary to add other condiments. Brioche bun had everything melting together for me to have a “ not your basic hamburger”. Yum-my!
