Service non-existent, had to go take silverware off of other tables. Said we were planning to order off the coolinary menu and they brought us ONE to share. ...when there were two of us? Forced to sit at the bar. No one else was getting anything other than drinks and it still took an hour. Extremely dire even for a hotel restaurant.

Be aware this is a lobby restaurant at the Hyatt hotel. (Had to call because address is misleading, but so is address for the Hyatt). Literally in the middle of the lobby, split down middle with bar and seats on one side and coffee bar and seating on other with walk aisle going from entrance to front desk - strange! Went for breakfast, food was good at decent price, but setting was strange. Booked reservation but no one to check in with, just sat down at a table and server provided menus. Don’t think server said 10 words to us the entire experience. Not rude, but no real interaction.

This is a hard place to review. First, it is in the lobby of a Hyatt hotel, very brightly lit, open space. Not an intimate place for dinner. It is way hard to find, Google and Apple Maps show tube address down the street when it is actually on the corner. There is no signage except for on sign painted in the corner of the corner window near the Hyatt entrance. We called twice cause we couldn’t find the place. Our waiter actually came out onto to the street to find us after the second call. Food was ok, we both had fired chicken, mine was slightly burnt, but the non burned parts and accompaniments were good. Service was great. Our waiter Jevon was great! Very personable and friendly and highly attentive.

They would not allow us to sit in the dining area with my friend’s service dog despite us having the paperwork and service dog vest, which is not legal. An individual with a Service Animal may not be segregated from other customers. Also, the ambiance was not as expected as you are simply dining in the hotel lobby. Would not recommend.

This is not a restaurant. It’s a hotel lobby coffee shop. Nowhere to check in for the reservation because there’s no seating service. They tell you to sit wherever like you’re a moron. And then it’s 100% unclear if you get table service. We were so disappointed and annoyed after waiting a full 10 minutes for literally anyone to make eye contact or acknowledge us so that we could figure out how to order that we left. Go to Oceana, around the corner - insanely awesome service and such good food. Do not bother with Holmes.

The price was very affordable and a great value considering the other places in the French Quarter. A very clean restaurant. A little difficult to find but worth the hunt. This gem is inside the Hyatt Hotel which Maps doesn’t tell you. Their grits are to die for so creamy and butter melted so easily making for rich decadence. Their beignets were delicious and so fresh. Our waitress was a sweet thing who made sure we got everything we ordered. Great food, great people and beautiful environment. Like I said worth the extra effort to find this hidden gem.

This was not a restaurant- it was a hotel lobby. Photos are misleading. There were no walls or partitions, so every time someone walked in, you felt the cold weather outside and as a result, food became cold very quickly. Everyone was eating with their coats on. Couldn’t find it, either - it’s inside Hyatt. We spent 30 minutes walking around and no one was answering the phones. The food itself was decent, but very overpriced for what you got - think typical hotel food. Service was wonderful, however. This was a Christmas Day reservation, so particularly regret booking. I cannot imagine another scenario where I’d ever go back - maybe a quick bite on Mardi Gras? Perhaps if you’re staying at the hotel? Otherwise I’m shocked OpenTable has them listed as a restaurant- it’s not.

It was just okay. It was hard to find the entrance. There’s so many freight entrances on the street that you had to navigate through a maze of stacked boxes and trash cans. We thought it may have been better to enter in Canal Street? The table service was juxtaposed with their continental service. It was confusing where we should check in for our reservations. A savvy server realized that we weren’t part of the hotel guest crowds doing a “grab and go” so she seated us. (The side with large elegant adjacent to the bar was closed and reopened for service as we were leaving. That would have been nicer.) The food servings were small. The English muffins for the eggs Benedict were the smallest I’ve ever seen. Barely 3” across. Must have been homemade in the restaurant. No regular Benedict’s just a few with seafood or boudin. They were extremely tasty but definitely more plate than food. I had the Banana Foster pancakes and was disappointed. They were heavy and bready. The description said there were pecans - and I had it in my head that it was going to be a light fluffy pecan pancake with the banana foster topping. It wasn’t. This had potential but in my mind, a huge fail.

It took over an hour for us to receive our food in a half empty restaurant. As a former server it was a lackluster experience as we received very poor care with getting drinks, drink refills, and status updates on our order. The food we ordered was very straight forward, I would have been more understanding if we had made special requests but we did not. Our server seemed annoyed in general and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just our table that received poor service. For the price point, it’s not worth dining here.
