Holts Café Vancouver
The menus pay homage to Holts Café classics and staples with a warm, inviting, fresh, and simplistic approach. Service times include brunch and lunch at all cafés, as well as afternoon tea and an expanded evening dinner service at select locations—all in a refined, contemporary environment.
Went in for Father's day brunch and it was a fantastic experience. Staff was friendly and food was good. Definitely recommend for special occasions.
The service and food was exceptional! I ordered the Duck confit brunch menu item with the fried egg and it was perfect! I loved it! I also got a mimosa and loved it as well. Very well done and would definitely come back.
The restaurant was great. grateful to have a nice place to sit and talk during this time. however, 2 out of my 5 reservation didn't show up and we did not all order meals. so next time, I will have to bring guests that will spend money on the food, tip enough and get rid of ones that don't show up.
While I realize afternoon tea is never a huge meal per se, I have never been for afternoon tea where there was not one fingerling sandwich. While the savouries were delicious, they were simply minuscule to the point of embarrassing, and definitely not good value for money. There are far better places in town with comparable or cheaper prices that do not compromise on quality or quantity. On a good note, the pasties were very good and plentiful, and the service was equally as good. However, I will not return, nor will I recommend it to others as the savouries are generally the highlight for me, and it was a big disappointment.
We had an enjoyable lunch with our son and daughter in law. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, Debi had a very generous chef salad, Jeff had a hamburger and Yvette had the daily fish plate. We all enjoyed our meals. Service was excellent. We had trouble accessing the parking because of all the construction in downtown Vancouver. Best to leave 15 minutes early if you are driving to Holt's.
Very modern decor, staff was very attentive and professional. I had the Miso Sablefish and it was very moist and delicious.
Holt’s Cafe was a wonderful experience. The staff were wonderful and the food was delicious! Going there for brunch was fantastic!
Everyone there’s very nice. My daughter and I had a great time there for lunch 👍👍
They brought the apetizers at the same time as the main course, so desapointing.
Made a reservation but told there was now a special event so dining room closed !! Sat in the stark foyer . Had the short rib which was dry like old leather , sablefish was gray!! Never again . Too bad as it was a girlfriends birthday treat. Go to Nordstrom’s Instead!
Nice place, good service, enjoyable high tea. Not the best in downtown Vancouver but definitely worth to visit
Was a little too cold by the window
Service substandard. Tuna sandwich was pretty horrible but fries were good.
Excellent service! Great interior design.
Slow and food was just ok
Great food! Best Fries and amazing tea service and brunch. A hidden gem within Holt Renfrew
Very enjoyable meal. Chef took time in preparing a masterpiece brunch. Waitress was friendly and pleasant. Overall a good experience.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. Beautiful food in an inviting atomosphere. A very special place.
I always enjoy my lunch meetings at Colette. The ambience is lovely and the service is seamless. Colette is my 'go to' restaurant for business meetings. Thank you
Nice choice for Afternoon tea! We decided to go with the Qeelin-style afternoon tea, which includes a larger assortment of teas and more savoury and sweet food.
The tea was great, the food was very tasty, though on the Qeelin setting (a large acrylic gourd), everything needed to be stuck-down with icing to prevent it falling off during transport. Think this aspect could be improved a bit.
Would go again, but probably would only order the traditional afternoon tea set.
Bit of a challenge to find, it's on the "Upper-2" level in the back. There's also a second set of signage near the exit stairs and washrooms which confused us a bit. Parking at Pacific Centre can be very challenging during weekends and holidays, so plan ahead for your reservation (we just barely made it).
The service was excellent, but a bit too attentive - four different servers came by to ask “how are the first few bites”.
manager was rude and hostile. they messed up our booking for high tea so we had to try out their brunch instead and it was not even good. would not recommend.
We were originally going to another place for lunch but there was a 2 hours wait, so we switched gear and came to Colette Grand Cafe, and we're glad we did.
Colette is a bit hidden, located near the Louis Vuitton store at Holt Renfrew, so if you're looking for it, just look for the LV store located on the 2nd floor. Since it's kind of hidden, it wasn't so busy and you can actually relax and enjoy your brunch. The food was quite good, will come back to try their hightea next time.
It's a lovely cafe that's great for brunch or tea if you are downtown. It's tucked away in a corner of the store so it doesn't feel like it's in a retail location. They open at 10 am on weekends but had nobody at the door to acknowledge your arrival for a good five minutes. You just stood in an empty restaurant by yourself. Once seated, the service was good and attentive. The price points are a little higher than your standard local brunch places, but it was quality food.
It was a Birthday event. We loved the ambiance of the room, the food and our delightful server.
Coffee was not hot .
Suggest they remove fried food from the menus as the place is upscale so the food should reflect the ambiance and image Hokt wishes to establish
Our table was ready when we arrived. Staff very friendly and prompt. The food was beautifully presented and the delicious. As it was my birthday they present us with a small 2 bite dessert plate which was a lovely touch to complete our meal. My guest's coffee cup was topped up without having to ask. Brunch all day on Saturday which is a bonus for lots of people. This is my second visit and will go again.
Food was fantastic - service was poor with a large amount of time left without being attended to after seating and little attention given during the meal.
We tried afternoon tea and we will not go back!
Came here with the intention of having afternoon tea. However, due to miscommunication, we could not enjoy the afternoon tea here. Instead, we were offered brunch and to our surprise, the food was delicious. A special thank you to Andy and his team of servers. Service was top-notch! We will definitely be back to try their afternoon tea.
Took my great aunt for lunch
What a delight to finally get to Colette! From the beautiful and elegant decor to the warm and efficient service, from the cozy seating to the spectacular food, this might be my new favourite restaurant! To find a restaurant in Vancouver where one can actually enjoy a quiet conversation is a dream come true. And to find a restaurant that does not have a single TV is something of a miracle these days.
Thank you for a wonderful experience - this was a lovely bit of warmth in a very difficult week.
Food was ok
Couple of us had the crab cakes and we felt that they lacked flavour
We met at this restaurant to have lunch and to celebrate my son's birthday. The service was absolutely outstanding. The food was excellent. We had a comfortable table with lots of space. The restaurant was full but we felt like we were having a private lunch. We will all be returning to this restaurant in Vancouver and to its counterparts in Toronto and elsewhere.
I was really pleased with the service and ambiance. My friend and I actually made a joke that we wished the servers were our friends because they were so genial! The food was visually appealing and very tasty. My only concern was the tea selection, as they were packaged teas rather than loose leaf form/specialized teas. Overall I would definitely come back again - it's greatly priced out, especially including the little gifts from Joe Malone!
The manager gave good service and was very friendly
This is a hidden gem at the back of Holt Renfrew. You have to search for it but it is a lovely quiet space for lunch or early dinner. The entrance needs to be better defined - The store should lead you into the Cafe. But even outside you would find the entrance difficult to find. And we know where we are going. They should have a champagne bar and an opening to the outside so that diners can see some action. Well worth checking out.
Food is decent but menu is somehow limited. Would like to see more items on the menu. Nice environment and ambience. Absolutely nice to have it inside Holt Renfrew as you take breaks from shopping!
