Holts Café Bloor
The menus will pay homage to Holts Café classics and staples with a warm, inviting, fresh, and simplistic approach. Service times include brunch and lunch at all cafés, as well as afternoon tea and an expanded evening dinner service at select locations—all in a refined, contemporary environment.
Everything was great. Wish you will have a lot more customers to liven up the place soon.
Good luck! We will be back.
Only thing: why do you ask if it is anyone's birthday when booking? Even the hostess made it a point to ask me "are we celebrating anyone's birthday?" when we arrived at the restaurant, and we were. Nothing special occurred. Just wondering the purpose of asking this question.
The old menu had a fabulous chicken salad with fried tomatoes, fresh chicken and pesto mayo. It has been replaced by a $25 chicken salad with reheated dried chicken, picketed onions and a sad assortment of green leaves with oil. You could get better from a MacDonald’s. Bring back the chicken salad from the old menu!
Excellent service and tasty food in this out of the way cafe that has a wonderful view of Bloor Street and the surrounding development. The ambience is gracious and a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Toronto.
The staff were amazing and accommodating. The food and service was of great quality.
Good service. Interesting menu.
ring back the chicken sandwich.
I love the ambience and decor. Would recommend for a cozy brunch date
It was our first time eating out since COVID-19 started. A lively experience , everyone enjoyed the foods and the ambience. Social Distancing and safety measures were all taken care of. Thanks
Duck confite was too salty, grilled striploin was too tough, cucumber chill cocktail
looked unappetizing due to a brownish foam floating on the surface (they made another one for me without that foam).
Tea was very good
Servers were very attentive and nice, kept saying "Yes, of Course" but they disappeared when we had to pay.
Parking was in full price with no VIP discount
Service could be better. I have been to the Holts cafe twice in two weeks and both times service was slow and food did not come hot. It’s unfortunate but I’m sure with time it will get better. Also the previous menu I liked better. Their chicken pot pie was famous. They should have kept it on the menu.
Food was great but ridiculously expensive and service was friendly but slow. That was likely on the kitchen versus the server but it would have been nice to get an update and maybe offered a free amuse bouche.
Beautiful space with amazing hospitality. We would definitely go back!!
It’s for spend our vouchers out , 100 per one . Service is good as before. Hopefully they change back the food menu. We miss the chicken pot very much since it’s been renovated...
We were celebrating a birthday and everything and everyone were amazing. Our waiter was fabulous and so much fun.
Amazing food and the Reno is amazing
It’s a bit of everything. After work, date night brunch with friends
BLT salad good but overpriced for amount of food
Extremely good service, very attentive and good food. Definitely my go to place for sunday brunch with my friends or family
We have enjoyed the cafe and have already been there three times after it opened with family and friends! Excellent food and service!
We got a free champagne on the house. The food were not bad but not exceptional. We liked the steak frite the most. Our server was cute and attending as well.
Price is a little high for a cafe style but considering it is meant for HR customers it makes sense.
Beautiful new decor and layout. Impeccable attentive waiters. Much noisier than the old cafe. Miss our favourite Chicken Pot Pie. Found the food too rich but well cooked and creatively presented.
Limited menu and items a bit pricey. Service was good, albeit our server was a mite over-enthusiastic.
Main dish pasta was lukewarm and not hot. Not enough flavor to the cod appetiser, did not taste like cod.
Loved lunch at the new Holts Cafe!
Lovely, timeless room! Great menu and excellent food!
Menu is pretty short, dishes are quite expensive for the quality and portion size. Service is excellent though.
Ambiance and service is very good but menu ( especially brunch menu ) needs to be improved, limited menu items with small portions.
Quality of the food is not same with old Holts Cafe..It is very frustrating.I believe they will fix those issues in near future.
Everything from the food to the service was excellent. It was very clean and quiet. I will definitely go back.
I loved the old holts cafe and the new one is even more beautiful ...quality food was excellent but portion size now is smaller and prices higher unfortunately !
The food was delicious but there are not many customers perhaps because it's new and located in the mall. It might feel more fine dining if it's more separated from the shopping area.
A very relaxed atmosphere with great food and service
Food not as good as the previous café but more expensive.
I would bring back the Shepherds Pie.
The machines for credit charge need to be updated for ease of use.
The waiter and the Maître d’ could not have been more attentive and accommodating.
A wonderful experience overall.
So happy to have The Holt’s Cafe back and with a great new look.
Today was very slow waiting for food but was compensated at the end which was apropo and appreciated. I am a strong supporter of holt’s so will continue to be back often And as when anything is new it has faults ..
wishing the cafe the best!
Good food, great venue bit service needs work. Often the case with new restaurants.
Food and ambiance were good. The mushroom tartine was very good although a bit too much sauce on the bread. Sweet potato fries and truffle fries very good. We would like to see Chicken Pot Pie back on the menu! Service attentiveness was excellent.
Restaurant is nicely redone in modern minimalist look. However the washrooms are a bit overwhelming in copper and could use more definition. They are a bit dark esp in the stalls and the solid walls and doors in copper colour might pose challenges for someone with a sight disability. The emerald green accent pillars etc in the washrooms are just bizarre although certainly make them stand out against the copper. A couple of members of our party said that the toilets didn't flush well; I didn't have that problem. In contrast to the rest of the restaurant, I'd give low marks to the washrooms for ambiance although they made for good conversation topics!
Deyan was great! So funny, charismatic and attentive.
Loved the restaurant..I would recommend it to my friends.
The service was excellent and the food ovee
Great attentive service — and lovely space!
