At Home Block Restaurant, we embrace the bounty of the Okanagan while our name pays homage to the Home Block Vineyard which surrounds us. Our building is crafted from fieldstone and 100-year-old reclaimed barn wood and our cuisine draws on those elemental roots. We integrate natural cooking methods like our wood-fired grill fueled by timber from local orchards and seasoned barrel staves.     An immersive 5-course wine-paired experience built around our Platinum Collection of wines. This experience highlights some of the best wines produced at CedarCreek, thoughtfully paired with a locally-inspired, chef-curated menu and includes rare library-wine vintages for $185 per person. We do require all allergy information of the group at least 24 hours before your reservation. Our Chef's use these dietaries to create a single set-menu for the whole table. Guest's choosing not to partake in the wine portion of the experience will be charged $120 for the food only. All payments due at the restaurant upon completion of the experience. We look forward to hosting you!

    We went for a three course meal and found the food mediocre, the service and ambience wonderful and the value for the money very poor. We had calamari to start.., well cooked and nicely presented but quite rubbery in texture. We had a one main course of pork cheeks which was served in a bowl, overpowered with a sauce which left the vegetables smothered . It looked more like a stew than anything else and the entire dish tasted like the sauce. Our second main was a pasta dish with a meat based sauce. The flavour was quite bland and aesthetically unappealing. For dessert we had a toffee pudding which was nicely presented and quite tasty. The chocolate dessert was lovely to look at but the flavour was quite disappointing. The cost of the meal with a bottle of average wine was over $200.00. Our server was wonderful but I would suggest offering fresh ground pepper with main courses.

    Steak well over cooked, and sent back while other meal was still served which wasn’t an ideal situation having to eat separately. Nothing done to compensate for that error which was unfortunate when spending over $300 on a dinner.

    Overall the wine and the view are best parts of our visit. The room is not designed for noise level that you can carry on a conversation at your table. You can hear everything from all tables. The service was awkward, the food was less than impressive and very pedestrian. One person in our group couldn’t even eat their dish and they made her feel bad about sending it back. Their way of dealing with food allergies is thru the process of elimination rather than substitution. Will not be going back. No value for the money.

    We had come during the summer and the food and service was excellent. We were so excited to come back during this fall trip, but to say I was disappointed would be putting it lightly. Zoey was very attentive at the beginning of our visit and made accommodations for allergies in our group by providing alternatives. The place wasn’t packed, it was a quiet evening. However, after appetizers were served, we didn’t get receive our mains for a full 40minutes where we received zero service. Other tables that arrived at same time or after us got served their main before we did. When our mains did arrive, all 3 of our steaks had a different temperature gradient for medium rare and pasta and fish were overcooked. Eventually Zoey got back to us after we raised our concerns to the other servers. When we voiced our concern with the food and wait time to Zoey, she gave us a “good to know” and left. By the time dessert was served, we no longer had the appetite to finish it. Our reservation was at 6:30, our appetizers served at 7:15, mains served at 7:51, and desserts at around 8:40 for a 3-course meal. Zoey was adamant that she timed for 15 mins between courses. We spent more time waiting for the food than actually eating it. Zoey spent more time conversing with a table of 4 that sat same time as us and left before us, than she did with our table the whole night. She did waive our dessert on the bill, but that is a sad excuse for the service we got the entire night. We were so excited to come back and introduce homeblock for the first time to some of our friends. It’s one thing if the food was cold, it’s another to voice your concerns and have the manager reply with an “I don’t care” attitude. We’re not writing to be mean, but just disappointed that we made a 4 hour car ride to come to this place to receive such sad service from the manager no less.

    We loved the meal, the service and the restaurant. Unfortunately the music was loud and irritating. Would have loved softer more dinner-like music particularly with the acoustics. Would go back only if the music was in the background.

    We had a wonderful evening! Food was excellent, the burrata with greens was so creamy and the striped bass was done to perfection with well chosen wine pairings. Our server was attentive and fun. Look so forward to another visit!

    We ordered the 5 course "Platinum Library Experience". Amazing courses, paired perfectly with Cedarcreeks Wines. It was an opportunity to try some new wines that we hadn't tasted before. I'm really looking forward to returning again soon.
