   We were delighted. We had guests from Ottawa, and we all had a lovely time. The food was terrific. Ashling was so accommodating and allowed us a later wine tasting so that our guests could experience the Cedar Creek wines.

   Always unique plates and options, usually beyond critique however this time one entree was too salty to finish.

    Table for 6, it was the first visit to Cedar Creek for all of us. Service was wonderful, they made a personalized meal for one due to sensitivities which was greatly appreciated. Server was knowledgeable about wines and all items on the menu. Meals were outstanding, and portion size was generous. We will definitely be back !!!

    We had a fantastic time at Home Block! We had the three course meal with suggested wine pairings. Each course was creative, unique, and delicious. The wine was good on its own and then popped even more when enjoyed along with the food. My favourite dish was the pork belly. Maybe one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. My wife’s favourite was the orange mousse. I tried some as well and it was amazing. This was a great experience for us.

    I wanted to love this restaurant because we heard extremely good things. I booked our reservation 1.5 months ago for a girls weekend. We were scheduled for the 3 course meal with wine pairings for $90. Our server was extremely vague and did not explain how the 3 course meal worked. He encouraged us to buy a bottle of wine that was not part of the deal. 3/4 of us ordered the monkfish and it was terrible. It was hard and tasted like campfire. After we told the server, we were told it was cooked perfectly and that is how the dish was supposed to taste. One of our bills ended up being $123 after only having 2 courses, not the 3 we signed up for. We left the restaurant confused, unsatisfied, and in disbelieve of the treatment we received at this type of establishment.

    Everything was lovely, and as expected. Initially when seated, we felt the hand-off from the hostess to the server was poor, as we sat for quite a while with no greeting and no waters, as she said she would bring. After quite some time, our server realized there was a gap, greeted us and took care of everything. He was very nice, and seemed to be a little newer to the winery. Overall, we will return, as the food is excellent, and the date we chose was clearly a day when things get busy and can be missed.

    We came for Valentines Day and enjoyed everything about the experience. Our waitress Lisa made the evening more special by answering our questions about the wine and food with the ease and splendour of an extremely knowledgeable scholar well versed in all aspects associated with the evening.

    We did the 5 course wine pairing. Out of the 5 courses, only two we would rate flavourful. The main course was very bland and the dessert was something you could get at Walmart. It just tasted like banana and sugar. We loved the wine and atmosphere. Service was still good but not exceptional which is what we expected. Very over priced for what you get.
