    Our reservation was at 8:45pm, so the restaurant was quiet. Lovely server, the drinks and appies came very quickly. Food followed at a perfectly spaced time. Really enjoyed the overall experience!

    Food was mediocre- nothing great. Atmosphere was probably the best part. I had the pacific cod which I’m not sure if it was burnt or that’s how it comes but it was cold and the portion was small. My friend had the chicken parm and it was dry- portion size decent. We also had the garlic shrimp- not much to it and truffle fries which were basically fries for an overpriced amount.

    We will NOT go back to eat here though as the food quality was so bad. I heard bad comments about the food here but because it is so close to BC place and we were going to a concert, we thought we should try it ourselves. My husband had the linguini and the sauce was too much that it tasted and looked like soup. I had the steak. I could not imagine how this nice looking, fancy restaurant can serve this very poor quality of steak ( tough and with veins). Thumbs up to our server though. He had outstanding customer service.

    Me and my friend that I came with have been here a few times before. All the times before have been great, no complaints. This visit however wasn’t the greatest. It took forever for our server to come. When he did, he made an inappropriate comment. Not sure if he was trying to be funny but we didn’t find it amusing. It then took a while to get our drinks. The server who gave us the drinks wasn’t very friendly. Then it took a while to get our order taken and our food also took a while to come out as well. Food and drinks were great but the service was super disappointing.

    I saw this restaurant online and really wanted to go because of the special"Celebrate Granville Island"with their market seafood boil. The atmosphere was so cozy, the staff was very welcoming and our server was very prompt and friendly, kept our drinks full and table clean. Definitely well worth going here to check out the special seafood menu. We will be returning very soon.

    The service was horrible we waited for 15-20 min before anyone attended us, and there were barely any customers there. Server was in a mood, as If she didn’t want to help us! I have visited Honey Salt a few times and just surprised how much the quality of food and service went down. Chicken bites were burnt, all the item on the charcuterie board looked old and did not taste fresh! Presentation was horrible.

    We went to Honey Salt before a concert at Rogers Arena. The restaurant was conveniently located with lots of parking across the street. Our table was comfortable and not too close to other patrons. Food and wine menus offered creative and delicious options. The server was knowledgeable and helpful - a terrific experience overall.

    Food was not great, and small portions. Fried chicken was rubbery and mashed potatoes tasted like instant. For $35 this should have been much, much better. My salad was ok, but the addition of chicken for an additional $9 was merely 2 Oz of over cooked sliced chicken, not even a full breast. Disappointed, and will not go back.

    There were 2 hostesses at the front. An East Indian girl and a European (?) girl. The European girl was SO RUDE to us. As if she was annoyed with our presence as soon as we walked up. Refused to seat us. Told us the dining area was full. I went onto your website and made an earlier reso without problem. The dining area was definitely not full. I also witnessed her arguing with another coworker. The behavior and attitude was wild. Everything else was really good. We had a great server - super nice & the food was also good + the atmosphere. We almost didn’t come back because of that hostess. Please speak with her and have her check her attitude. Pure wildness.

    Made a reservation here for my husband's birthday as we were interested in the seasonal seafood boil up menu. Unfortunately as we were seated we were told that they did not receive the seafood today so that menu item was not available. We ordered the beef short rib which was nicely done (soft and tender) but underseasoned. I had to add salt to every mouthful. There was not enough jus for the dish, the mashed potatoes were also bland, and the roasted carrots looked great but were undercooked and still crunchy and hard to cut through. My husband ordered the shrimp and scallop pasta which was tasty, though the scallops were overcooked and rubbery. The birthday dessert they gave us was a nice surprise and at least our meal ended on a sweet note. Service was good but also took quite awhile for our mains to be served although it was not very busy. Ambience, music, and service was good, but I dine out for the food and unfortunately the food was a disappointment this time, especially for a birthday celebration.

    This was our first visit to Honey Salt. It was my husband's birthday and we wanted to try somewhere new, close to the Parq Casino. The staff were fantastic and worked as a team to make sure we had everything we needed. Hubby is a huge seafood fan, and ordered the Granville Island Market Boil. I've never seen him enjoy a meal more! a huge variety of seafood, all cooked to perfection. I had the braised beef shortrib, which was also delicious. Two seafood fans could certainly share the market boil. At $54, its enough food for two. The meal was topped off by a complimentary birthday dessert that was just perfect. A lovely atmosphere, with high ceilings and tasteful decor, Honey Salt was a great start to a fun evening at the Parq! Oh, and I won enough at the casino to cover the cost of the bill!

    As always the service was excellent. Tiegan (sp) was on point and went above and beyond. We’ve been here many many times over the past couple of years and I don’t like to complain about it but I find it the food quality has gone downhill a little bit lately.

    Service and decor were great. The food is not worth the cost. I ordered the fish and got a piece that was smaller than my palm for $39 with nothing but 4 grape tomatoes and a tablespoon of corn to go with it. On top of that, there were bones in the fish, and the corn had an unchewable husk on them. Definitely better places to dine at in Vancouver.

    Booked a reservation here for a birthday brunch with some girlfriends. Food was delicious, enjoyed the blue fish bowl, the restaurant is spacious and cute, and our server, Tina, was awesome. Would recommend, at least for brunch!

    After going to the Victor this was okay. Our server was great but the food was satisfactory. Mussels less than a Lb but they added fillers with side of fries. Shrimp was good one of the better dishes 1/2 raw oysters, nothing was available other than island of man. They need a better west-coast or east-coast variety and actually have supply. Miso Black Cod, salty, small portion. There was enough corn for two bites and the fish was 4 bites, the plating purée was massive though.

    We stayed at the hotel and ate there twice - once for dinner and once for breakfast. The dinner was not bad, service was okay all and all but when we returned the next morning for breakfast it was not good at all. Below average bland food. I had the eggs Benedict and the hollandaise was flavourless, my husband had the frittata which was also not good. Our waitress rushed through our order and never checked on us for the next hour, we had to grab other servers to try to track her down which they didn’t do, finally one just said he would get whatever we need. It was not busy at all so there was no reason for this. Orange juice was $10 and super small. $16 for small average tasting Caesar. Not impressed at all. We stay at lots of nice hotels and eat out often and don’t mind paying high prices but this was not worth it at all.

    I was there to meet business associates over 2 full days. Food is good, but service is a tad lacking. Greeter at the front do not greet you upon arrival, most serving staffs are not attentive, except 1 or 2 of them.

    The special colorful margaritas were very nice to look at. The non alcoholic ones that my friend and I had were extremely sour due to lots of fresh lemon. We had to ask for 2 shots of simple syrup AND a side of Sprite to add to it in order to make it drinkable. I think the other two that had some alcohol were better for those guests. I have never had margaritas that tasted like that (with or without alcohol). Fair to say, I think they were quite full of vitamin C!!!

    After 1 great experience and 1 not so great experience, we were invited back by the management at Honey Salt. As in the past, their food was fantastic. Would recommend the poke bowl, which gave a fair amount of fresh and flavourful tuna! The Honey Salt Market is a great starter for the table with pickled and non-pickled vegetables, sweet potato chips, and a variety of dips. We came for an early dinner on a weekday when the restaurant wasn't too busy; service was attentive, friendly and water refills were constant by our server, Alexandra! Their house Society cake was a showstopper. It looks denser than it eats, but the banana bread and chocolate (in glaze, mousse and cake form) was heavenly. Perfect for sharing, both comforting and decadent. My group had a great experience this time around, and we'd recommend it for both locals and visitors to Vancouver - the best time would be for a special occasion. We also appreciate a restaurant whose management takes reviews into consideration to improve service, it says a lot about their character and quality review. Will definitely return!
