   Our service was great, our waitress was friendly and attentive. Our bacon appetizer came out quickly and was delicious. However our entrees took over 40 minutes to arrive with no warning about the potential wait time. The old fashion was good. The coleslaw appears to be an after thought, we couldn't detect any dressing or seasoning. The bourbon cake was nice but we probably wouldn't get it again. Maybe take out is the way to go here because the ribs were delicious. If you're in the area it's worth checking out if you have the time.

   We wanted to try this place after seeing Diners, Drive Ins and Dives many years ago. While at a White Sox game we decided to try it out. When we arrived the sign said sit anywhere even though we had reservations so somewhat confusing. The band was playing and it is very loud in the room but you can sit in the back room where it is quiet. We both ordered a drink. I had Honky Old Fashion and it was good still not the best. We decided to order the platter at $43 and split it. The chicken was moist and delicious. The ribs were overcooked. The sausage was too spicy for me after one bite. I didn’t eat the pulled pork sandwich. The beans and coleslaw were bland. The cornbread has actually corn pieces in it. Overall the meal was Okay. Nothing was hot or even warm.

   Everything was great! Only thing was our coffee had too many coffee grinds in it. But then again this isn't a coffee shop. Still love this place!!

   Really Bad service had to seat ourselves. I was given water then we waited for 20 minutes. Had to go get the server ourselves order drinks those to at least 15 minutes and the restaurant was fairly empty.

   This is the perfect spot to grab dinner before a show at Thalia Hall. Our group grew from 6 to 12 and they were able to accommodate us. The food really was delicious and the waite staff was very friendly.

   What a great find! Best brisket I've ever had! And the fried pickles are so delish. Went with a few friends after an art opening in Pilsen. Left right as live music was starting, but will definitely come back for dinner and music.

    Excellent service from Ariel! Food was delicious - my friend and I split a bunch of stuff so we could try as much as we could. Favorite side - yams!

    Just not a good experience over all, the reason why we were unhappy were a few things. 1. We made a reservation for 8 and got a table for 6, so 2 our friends had to leave. The bigger table (for 8-10 ppl) was giving to a couple. 2. We were there for like 2 hours and only interacted with the waitress like 5 - 6 times. 3. We seated with dirty plates and empty drinks for a while, I mean a while. The food runner was more attentive than other staff. 4. Bottom line, go for the music and the candied bacon, Diet Coke also was great.
