Wife and I went for brunch and did not disappoint. Good food; good prices and great location in the renovated barn. This was not our first visit, previously went for our anniversary and was a wonderful diner.
The ambiance was very cozy and comfortable! The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. The brunch was delicious (we had waffles and French Toast with lots of yummy fruit toppings). My only complaint would be the presentation of the food -it was served in a cake tin lined with red & white checkered paper , which gave it a picnic feel or hamburger & fries feel. Then there was watercress on top of our French Toast & waffles! It struck me as very odd and in fact annoying (I had nowhere to put the watercress and didn't want to eat it). But I definitely plan to try dinner there before it closes for the summer & some of Spring (it turns into an outdoor only place with a pizza oven) whenever the weather turns nice enough (no set date).
Food was delicous. Wine was amazing. The little barn eating area was really unique. Great seating choices. The staff was extremely nice and helpful
Excellent service, food and cocktails. I will definitely be back in the near future
Absolutely loved this place. Great atmosphere and great food. Was there for my friend's bachelorette. Thank you for making the night a little extra special with a private wine tasting and having a charcuterie board all set up for us. Can't wait to go back.
Great atmosphere, good service but my steak wasn’t what I was expecting. Grisly and over cooked.
We have been several times and would recommend to any and all. The atmosphere of the barn is very cosy and comfortable, and the staff and ownership are friendly and generous with their time and attention. Very worthwhile!
our first time there - a very pleasant surprise! would not hesitate to reccommend and plan to return soon with friends
enjoyable outing, good food and comfortable setting
We had such a great experience. The waitress was exceptional, she was able to give us a great overview of the menu. She checked in but also didn’t hover or rush us at all. We had the jalapeño corn bread waffles to start and they were delicious, the right amount of spice and balanced with a few veggies. We split the chorizo Mac and cheese and the balsamic chicken sandwich with salad. Both options were amazing and there wasn’t a crumb left! The ambiance was spectacular!
Honsberger Estates was such a great place, food was amazing, atmosphere was cozy and beautiful. Loved our server....most definitely going back.
excellent service. Did not rush us. Wine was good. enjoyed the atmosphere
Was pleasantly surpirsed how unique the decor was. The whole atmosphere of the place impressed me. Loved the food and we had a great server. Will definitely go back when the outdoor oven is open for pizza. We ride our bikes a lot in the area in the summer so this will become one of our go to places for a great stop after a good ride.
Another great meal tonight - the food is great as always and such good service. The small barn is beautiful
Such a great opportunity to the whole estate.
Great spot and great food!
We dined in the newly renovated small barn. They have done an incredible renovation to make it comfortable and cozy. The food was good home cooked comfort food and a great value. They take great pride here on this family estate. The small barn is open seasonally until the outdoor patio opens. Great live entertainment here. Great for an intimate dinner or with a group of friends.
It was my first time eating at Honsberger and it was amazing. A friend was down from Ottawa and it was a nice spot for a late lunch. We started with the charcuterie board that had all local cheeses, jellies, cured meats and vegetables. It was great value and very enjoyable! Then we had the mussels which were steamed in a coconut curry sauce, having never had mussels they were delicious. A great experience and I am excited to come back.
Very friendly service, relaxed atmosphere in a very comfortable, interesting setting -- excellent food!
Will definitely be back!
Fabulous food, only outshined by the amazing service and hospitality!
Excellent service for a large group, very personable and friendly inviting staff. Dined in the private barrel room, very cozy and intimate. Friends visiting from Miami loved the place as well.
Really cute and cozy spot for brunch with wonderful service.
Fabulous atmosphere — great food and service!
Stopped in for a lunch and to check out the venue for a possible future wedding. Staff were friendly. Our server Karey took our order promptly. Made a modified drink for me (Pioneer Day - CIder and spiced rum, since I don't drink wine). Food was prepared quickly and serving size was perfect. Barn Burger, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Crab Cakes, Mac n Chorizo. Ended off with a shared Torched Lemon Ricotta Cake.
Dishes were prepared with locally available produce/ingredients which is nice.
Very nice location. Will definitely be back.
Great night and great food as per the norm here. Great atmosphere and great company makes for a wonderful evening topped off by some great Honsberger wine
Another superb night at Honsberger. Never disappoints, always excellent in every aspect :-)
Loved our visit to Honsberger. We frequently go when we have friends visit but this was the first time eating at the "winter" restaurant. It is a beautiful place - truly, everything about it was perfect!
Another fabulous lunch in this eclectic setting. Great wine too! We must come back in summer when the patio is open.
Excellent dining experience! Such a cosy environment with a great vibe. We will be back!
It’s a special place! Friendly staff, warm ambience and delicious food! I highly recommend the waffles!!
The small barn is gorgeous to dine in.
Excellent again. This is my third visit. Would have given 5 stars today but they were out of 4 menu items for lunch, which I thought was a lot. It’s a very comfortable room with tons of character and the staff are always friendly. The food is generous, nicely presented and always good quality, especially the house made pickled vegetables.
Perfect spot for a get together. Comfortable and cosy. Decor is perfect for the holidays.
Food choice was interesting. Would like to see more gluten free options that are healthy alternatives. Found the overall bill pricey for a hamburger and fries. Wine was on the pricey side for a small glass. The hamburger was tasty but not outstanding. The gluten free bun was dry and wished I had ordered a decontructed hamburger instead of paying extra for a tasteless dry bun. Had only two gluten free options to choose from so felt my choice was limited. The ambience is very inviting but found the room to be noisy filled with groups who seemed to be regulars and knew each other. The setting is very interesting and worth the trip especially during the daylight hours.
Enjoyed by all in the party! Great food, atmosphere and service!
Absolutely loved it! It had everything I love in a good restaurant (and this is tops)..great ambiance,
great food, service, and value.
So lovely. Our friend forgot his phone and was glad as he went back the next day for brunch.
Unfortunately we seemed to be there at a busy time with a large party ahead of us. The wait between appetizers and main was over an hour. Our server did come and tell us one point that the kitchen was running a bit behind. We understood these things happen but the wait crossed a line that became unreasonable. When the food did arrive, it was disappointing. One person at our table ordered the chicken sandwich that was burnt. He ate it because at that point he was hungry and did not want to wait any longer. The server came along after we were finished eating and asked if we wanted anymore drinks and at that time it was mentioned about the burned food. It was deducted from his bill.
In discussion, some of our table said they would give your restaurant another but I would not as I chose the location and felt badly that it was not a great experience.
Beautiful and cozy restaurant. The only two constructive criticisms I have are 1) the steak was completely unseasoned 2) it took a while to get served but that was understandable because it was busy and it seemed like they might have been understaffed.
Great local hang out centrally located in beautiful Jordan, the heart of wine country. Great family owned restaurant with wonderful vibe for casual, leisurely dining in the winter.
After enjoying an incredible experience on their patio this summer, (one of the best wood oven pizzas outside of Naples) , we were excited to have dinner in the Small Barn once it opened. It did not disappoint. The ambience was spectacular. Cozy and welcoming, with wood beam features and a large inviting fireplace. Thanks to Nicky we were fortunate enough to enjoy our meal in front of the fireplace on homey chairs and couches.
The menu was equally enticing. We shared 3 mains and 2 appetizers between four of us and we’re too full for dessert. Best buttermilk chicken we have ever eaten. Pillowy gnocchi and tender roasted short ribs rounded out a perfect meal and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Honsberger Estate will become a regular for us no matter the season.
