My wife has been here and boasted about how great the food and service was. So, I booked dinner for myself and two friends earlier in the day for an 8pm sitting. We arrived early and it was busy. The lady at the front told us they couldn’t seat us, because they were overbooked, blaming Open Table for the error. I understand this may happen, but she didn’t seem overly apologetic, dismissing it as ‘not her fault and not her problem’. Very disappointed as I’ve heard such great things. Unsure whether this was actually a problem with Open Table or the restaurant giving our table away.
The food leaves a lot to be desired. Over salted, strange flavour combinations, terrible desserts, slow service, billing errors - just a hot mess.
The food was great. Some iteams were amazing like the buffalo waffle Role and the tune tartar. The tuna role I didn’t enjoy even though the server recommended it.... it didn’t taste like much and it had too much rice.
Overall I enjoyed the experience. The tables were so small though.. it was hard to eat on and my guests sat on these stools that were uncomfortable. For the lovely interior it was disappointing how uncomfortable it was. I really hope they make changes to the table sand chairs in the future.
I ordered a cosmo and it came in a talk glass and tasted like a Margherita (kind of) that was disappointing and the blueberry mojhito was underwhelming.
I feel like you can get a great dinner or a crappy one based on what you pick here. The quality is isn’t consistent throughout the menu.
With that being said. Some of the items are amazing! The service was great and the environment was cool and funky. It worth going to! But not for a birthday.
I really like the food and the place itself, I’ve been here a few times and recommended it because I really like the space. Though the service with my last visit was not great, and I say this with all due respect having been a server for years. The waiter seemed annoyed whenever we wanted to order anything, asked several times for us to repeat ourselves, and basically seemed like he couldn’t get us out of there fast enough. When it was clear we intended to stay and eat beyond appetizers, the server ignored our table, walking past us when we were clearly flagging him down multiple times. When we were actually trying to leave, we had to ask three times for the bill which was eventually brought over by another girl. It was really too bad because I love this spot, but for it not being too busy, it left a bit of a bad taste.
Loved it. Great environment and service.
Great service (friendly), good ambiance, food wasn't NOT good (very heavily dressed, overcooked, bad flavors). Drinks were good though. I'd recommend this spot for cocktails.
