   This is the second time I’ve had overcooked Italian food at San Lorenzo that was very over priced. The gnudi and chicken parm was inedible. Salads are great. Raw fish is great. Long way from being a Nola go-to as it’s not consistently great.

   Excellent service and true Italian food with some nice twists. We had the calamari, scampi risotto and squid ink pasta with crab meat. All were tasty. And the wine list is unique but good. Lots of Italian choices (of course). We had a bottle of Sesti Rosato (rose) which was perfect for a warm pre-summer evening.

    I was not impressed with the service. Food was okay (salty). We had a reservation for 4 for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. We were the only ones there. It took 50 minutes to get our food. I cannot imagine being there on a busy day. We sat there for almost an hour and the waiter never came to refill water coffee nor did they care to check in the kitchen why they were taking soooo long!

    They need to either reprint their menu or do a better job of ensuring they can produce what’s on it. Pretty disappointing. Also, charging $5 to park is a little ridiculous for New Orleans. We’re not NYC

    Well, I will start with its Jazz Fest. We are locals in a time crunch. It was so loud in the usually quiet spot. It took forever to order & get our food & even water. The ambience is typically so lovely, but hopefully it was just a bad Jazz Fest weekend experience.

    The food is truly excellent. It was hard to enjoy because very member of staff we encountered seemed miserable. Our server forgot items we ordered multiple times and was openly sighing. She seemed so unhappy - so much so that I asked if she was alright. Our feeling was the working environment is toxic. Also, the space was incredibly loud and the tables were too long so my partner and I were physically sitting closer to the strangers beside to us than we were sitting across from one another. We struggled to hear one another. In addition to this the host decided to seat two separate couples together at a couch and two tables that were clearly meant for a four-top. The food and drinks were fabulous but the dining experience itself left us uncomfortable and concerned for the employees.

    I keep giving this place a chance because the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Problem is that the service at the restaurant is lacks attention. Also today the food was just ok, the lobster roll is now a brioche sandwich and they are not using the traditional roll. This would have been ok but the lobster was in tiny pieces and not seasoned. There was more lettuce than Lobster. Typically this is a very good option to choose but not today. Drinks were good and the French fries were perfection. I hope that can get their service together.

    Was a great time. Beginning of Jazz fest week and the place was rocking. Great food. Great vibe with the band playing outside. Pork chop was delicious. Only hitch was the 12.00 parking charge. We were 2 minutes over the 2.5 hrs listed in small print for the 5.00 parking. After spending over 500 dollars for dinner and drinks. And they don’t take cash??

    The menu and food were excelent as usual. We also enjoy sitting outside to eat on the back patio when the weather permits. The service was not up to the restaurants standards, she did not bring bread, more water or drinks till we asked, as she was too busy talking to the table next to us.

    Service was slow and not attentive. We waited a long time for drinks and to have plates cleared. This is standard for this place which is a shame because the food is very good and I love the atmosphere. The cost for brunch was expensive so I expect a little more service for the price.     We attended for Easter Brunch. The buffet and made to order menu had quite a bit of variety and something for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and beverages. Also, it was nice and intimate, not overly packed or crowded. The one star off is because we made an inside reservation and indicated our daughter would be with us. They still had us set for a two-seater table?? So we ended up having to sit outside on a cloudy and kind of cool day. The heaters were on so we were fine, but it wasn’t the reservation I made and I was slightly annoyed having to walk in and out to access the buffet when that wasn’t my original reservation.
