House of Blues Restaurant & Bar - Chicago
Conveniently located near Millennium Park and Magnificent Mile, the House of Blues experience brings together authentic American food, live music, and art like no other place on Earth. The sounds are electric, the art is inspiring, and our kitchen is as rockin' as the talent onstage.
I love the service the food the music .......................................................................;
We were celebrating our Anniversary. Kind of disappointed in the “Seafood Tower”. 2 pieces of each for $72? Hardly fee 2 people.
Amazing staff. Excellent show from Mississipi Heat. A wonderful experience overall ! Totally recommend.
First time at the Chicago House of Blues. It was a lot of fun.
Great place to enjoy music, food and company. The food is great so are the drinks and service has always been great.
My food came out wrong I have food allergies I told the server .. when manager came out she asked like she didn't know how the food is prepared. It took forever to get my food back and then it was cold.. the rest of my party was done eating and ready to leave
Always a good time and good food at HOB! Service is outstanding!
The brisket nachos were delicious!! A must try!! Great service. Cool place!
Great appetizers. Voodoo Shrimp, Nachos, and the HOB wings in bbq were to die for. My one complaint is that the Voodoo Shrimp costs about 15 bucks and they only give you 5 shrimps. It should have been at least 7 or 8 for cost. For the main course I ordered ribs and my hubby orders Cajun Pasta with Salmon instead of cheese. He enjoyed the pasta but not the salmon. The ribs were good, corn bread was awesome and corn was great. I was underwhelmed by the baked beans, slaw and mac and cheese. The baked beans tasted like straight bbq sauce, really tangy.
Our waitress was too busy talking in the server hallway. Hamburger came without cheese. I was finished with my meal before she came and checked on us. We got cold cheese to put on a cold hamburger. She probably visited our table 3 or 4 times. Other employees refilled our drinks. It took at least 10 minutes before we were first visited. We were ready to place our food order with our drink order because it took that long before our waitress came to us. The restaurant was not busy at all.
Amazing place recommend anybody in Chicago try and make a stop there
The food was excellent! The music was great! The atmosphere was amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Would totally recommend!
My wife and I had dinner here before a concert next door. The food in general was pretty good. The blackened salmon was delicious. It had a nice crust and good flavor. The southern style salad was also quite tasty. My wife had the mushroom tacos which had a nice flavor if you eat the filling straight. The big problem is that the portions are tiny and expensive. We split the salad and each got a small ramican of salad that maybe had 2-3 bites in it. There were apples in it that had maybe 4 very thin slices. For $10 dollars, that is quite chincy. The salmon was a 4 oz. portion for $24 that had a small cucumber tomato salad with it. With the tiny piece of salmon it was highly unsatisfying. The tacos had barely any filling so they basically tasted like store bought corn tortillas. The flavors were great, the value, not so much.
The service was generally good. My complaint is that they had no beer list. I ordered a beer from the menu which they didn't have. I figured I would then have something else. The waitress then said they have a bunch of beers on tap. Sadly she could not tell me much about what the beers were outside of the general styles of the beer. If you have a list, the waitstaff doesn't need to know this info. If not, it really harms you if they are not knowledgeable. At least have something on the regular menu that says ask about our craft selection.
Overall not a terrible experience but I am not going back and will not recommend it to anyone.
Great food and excellent service! Very accommodating and the staff went above and beyond! Can't wait to return.
Absolutely delicious Smokehouse sampler. My husband and I shared the two meat entree and loved it!
The yardbird sandwich was amazing! I would love to go back.
Our server was amazing. Super kind. The food was superb and everything was very quick.
Service was on the slow side, and the food was sub-par for the hype around it. Then, when the live music started, it was hard to even understand the person next to us.
Live music was great. Appetizer and dinner arrived the same time at the table . My ribs were cold by the time I finished my appetizer.
Meat overcooked (asked rare burger)
I asked for blue cheese but they gave me a very little slab and the buns were burnt on the 4 edges. Besides that the waiter wss friendly and offered a refill for my soda.
Very friendly and attentive waiter! Food was good, perfect place to eat when seeing a show there. It was so convenient to have a reservation, and our hotel was right next door so we didn’t have to deal with coat check!
The portion size doesn’t match the prices they charge.
good food, slow from the kitchen or ambient air cooled it off to cool. drinks were tasty, band was entertaining, would go again.
Food great service great! Blues music playing, great band!
Service took about 5-10 minutes after we were seated. Almost went to hostess stand to see if anyone was working in our section. Once we were waited on, everything was fine after that and he did a good job. Got our app and meals at a respectable time. Food was great. And waiting for the check didn't take long either. We will be back again, since there were alot of good sounding things on there menu.
Excellent service and food, entertainment was also excellent.
Attentive service and delicious dinner with cold beer!
Great ambiance, although it was very loud and hard to hear those at our table. Food was excellent and service was good!
Excellent service and food while listening to some awesome blues! A wonderful experience all around.
Delicious food, VERY friendly staff and amazing atmosphere.
The drinks and food were incredible. I felt the bar performer was a little too loud - maybe because we were seated right next to the stage. I would differently go back!
Don't get the fatty brisket!!
The bar service was extremely slow to the point where we went to the bar to get our drinks
It was my first time to be at the House of Blues. I was able to make reservations in advance so there would be a table for us before the show. We came to see Gin Blossoms in the concert theatre. The ambiance of live blues music playing in the restaurant was a great experience. Our waitress and other staff were very helpful ,friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing! I had the Yardbird Sandwich with fries. It was a very tasty chicken breast with a great tasting crust. My friend had steak and he also stated his food was amazing. I had Key Lime Pie for dessert and it was to die for! I definitely would come back whenever I get the chance to be in Chicago for a concert. I have already highly recommended it to my friends.
Enjoyed the food. Great music in the background. Only negative feedback was that one of the other patrons had a bit too much to drink and was wandering around being pretty annoying. At one point he was bugging the musician. Wish management had stepped in.
Great food! Great music! Great atmosphere! House of Blues is a happening place.
Lily, our waitress, was amazing. The food marginal except the street corn which was fantastic. We had the catfish February special and the fish was not fresh and had that super old fishy taste. Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. The key lime pie was very good.
I enjoyed myself. Customer service was excellent and the waitress took good care of me.
Excelent! Great music, great environment, great food
