Specialising in premium quality Australian beef steaks, tasty pork, beef and lamb ribs and barbecue chicken. Hurricane’s signature dishes are marinated in our special basting sauces originating from South Africa. A blend of spices and secret ingredients make our ribs and steaks extra flavoursome and extremely popular with our customers.

We also serve burgers, fresh seafood, vegetarian dishes, speciality salads, tempting desserts and a quality selection of wines and cocktails.

    Overall nice place , the ribs were terrible, the sauce was burnt and bitter, the oysters were tiny , the octopus was chewy and bland , food is overpriced. Service was slow . Overall a glorified smoking Joe’s , quantity over quality.

    Hurricane Bondi was excellent. 1.5 hours was enough time. Good to have a choice of ribs between pork, beef and lamb and to have the options of combination and sharing. Also to be able to have steak instead. Covid safety was good.

    Service was shocking. One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Very slow service. Drinks came out half an our after we ordered it and had to remind wait staff that we were waiting on them.

    I’ve had hurricanes many times, this time unfortunately was average. Both sets of pork ribs were dry and over cooked. We ended up just eating chips and paying $140 for the privilege. Unfortunately likely won’t got back again

    We always come here for birthdays and it was usually good and organise but this time everything is not quite right, you need to ask for everything, like salad server, bowls for the ribs bone, wet towels and etc. . . a bit dissapointed

    Overall, our evening was quit pleasant. The ribs were lovely , coleslaw was great , the steak was cooked extremely well and very flavoursome . Unfortunately the the cut was not very good . For the price the scotch and the Wagyu steak were both extremely chewy . We would not normally have a problem paying $50 + for a good steak , however we didn’t really find it value for money .

    Ordered medium steak and got served rare. Management did not want to hear about my complaint. A steak house needs to know how to cook steaks. The darling harbour hurricanes is much better

    Hurricanes is fantastic for birthdays, their pork ribs are the best. Have been many times over the years and come back every year a few times and have only ever had the pork ribs even with physical distancing it was still great - there were a number of tables celebrating birthdays which made it special as it was a Tuesday night thank you will be back

    Three of us ordered our steak medium well done and it came back rare and bleeding. Have been to Bondi hurricanes and this was the first time we have had an issue with the food. Can’t help but feel it was because the kitchen was closing and in a rush to cook our food.

    My food was terrible, the beef short ribs were so dry and had no meat. Super expensive and really not worth it. Never go back, definitely not what it used to be
