   Hutch is an A+ brunch spot - it’s so cute, you can get a reservation, and everything I’ve tried over numerous visits has been delicious. The staff always seem cheery, and have gone above and beyond on multiple occasions.

   Nice, quiet restaurant. You could have a conversation without yelling across the table. They were very accommodating in making something not on the menu. It was a nice change to drink tea from fine China. Excellent!

   I ordered the beef cheeks and they were very tender and juicy. Perfectly seasoned not too salty. My friend had the mushrooms, her go to dish. We really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere in that we can talk and not shout at each other like other places. Well done!

    Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Calgary. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths, and great selection of losse teas. This is my second visit, and absolutely have the best brunch we had while.     The food is always delicious at Hutch…it’s definitely a neighbour hood gem. My friend and I both ordered the eggs Benedict which was yummy and served on a croissant which … a nice surprise. I’ve also had the avocado on toast with halloumi many times. The drinks menu is creative and the beverages are served in beautiful glasses and cups. Check it out! You won’t be disappointed.

    Really, really enjoyed Hutch. Ya know you eat at a new place and you go, yeah, it was ok, I’ll probably come back well, YEAH! I WILL come back!! Great food. I love how they’ve decorated. Cozy and warm atmosphere. GREAT cappuccino!

    Service was good but food was bland and potatoes were not crispy and looked very white almost uncooked. Ambiance was weird as they have random pots and pans laying around without any explanation on why… very odd decor choice. Overall the experience was very mediocre and the cost was much higher than I thought it would be.

    Great looking place and feel/atmosphere. A nice little cafe that comes across as a high end place. The food was pretty good, however, the beef cheeks bourguignonne that I ordered was still cold in the middle, so clearly not warmed up properly. Aside from that, the service was mediocre, but pretty standard for a cafe. I saw lobster bisque on the menu originally, so I was quite sad it wasn't there when I went. They did still have a lobster roll, but I just wanted the bisque.

    There home made smoked bacon and tomato sandwich is out of this world. My friend does not believe me and we ordered one and shared it and she could not believe how good it was. It's a must to try!!

    Service here was horrible. The server named Rylee was absolutely distasteful and rude when talking to and serving my friend and I when we came in for brunch. Not only she mess up our order and serve us the wrong items, she also refused to give us straws when we had asked politely. Won’t be visiting this cafe again. Stay away from this cafe if you prefer a friendly service and vibe. They need to do a better job when it comes to hiring and training adequate staff, or it’s the clients that end up getting awful service because of it!

    Overall ambience was good. The booth for two was cozy. The service was friendly and not intrusive. The ham and eggs Benny was fresh and tasty, but not the best I've had. The ham was a bit chewy, and left a bit of an aftertaste - maple?? The hollandaise was good. Light with a bit of tartness. It would have been nice to have a fruit option instead of salad. I know it's trendy, but salad for breakfast is a no thanks from me. I tried to swap it out for the bacon add-on, but that option wasn't available. No biggie, just a would be nice. My husband had the Croque Madame. He, too, found a strange aftertaste with the ham. Everything was perfectly cooked. Also not a fan of breakfast salads, and he wasn't too keen on the truffle bechamel. Just didn't like the flavour. Again, not bad, just not great. We'd return to try other items in the menu. They have some interesting options.

    Everything was great with one exception. Upon entry to the Cafe we were hit with a very overpowering odor of smoked salmon (which I love but my companion does not). Turns out they had the smoker running outside the back door, however the door was open and the smoke was filtering in. Might do well to move the smoker further from the back if they want to keep that door open. Otherwise food and service was exceptional and the "made from scratch" flavours really shone through.

    Don't get the banana foster french toast! From the name and description it sounds like you would will be getting some flambéed bananas in a nice sauce. Actually, it's just a dry piece of barely cooked toast and some sliced raw bananas. If you ask for syrup, they won't have any.

    This is my second time at Hutch Cafe. The first time the restaurant was busy, but we waited over 45 mins for food for two of us. We figured we’d give it another shot since it was busy the first time we went and perhaps they were working out some kinks. We went on a late Sunday afternoon for our second time. This time there were three of us but the restaurant was not busy. There were still a few open tables (the restaurant has maybe 8-9 tables). This time we waited over an hour for our food. Not once did the servers come check in and apologize or give us an update on why our food was taking so long. All three of us also only got dishes that pretty much required cooking eggs or bacon, so nothing that should take that long. I will not be coming back. I will say both times I’ve been that the food has been good. Though it’s a tad overpriced for the portions they give. The decor is beautiful.
