Ordered the high tea, chicken wings and extra tea. It took 45 minutes for the food to arrive, yet there was only one table for 4 in the restaurant apart from us...They also received their food at the 45 minute mark. When you have 1.5 hrs to sit, and majority was taken up waiting. We had very little time to sit and enjoy before they needed us out for their next reservation. When it did arrive we received 2 cold chicken wings (deep to the bone cold), covered in dried up egg yolk. The overall atmosphere was great with beautiful decorations, lighting, table settings, but the food was not worth the price. I was quite disappointed to find a tiny thumb size scone. For the amount of jam and spread given, I'd basically be eating the spreads with crumbs of scone. The flavors were great, portion size tiny, food temperature poor, and wait time way too long.
Awesome vibe and food. Def a granville gem
Love the place, food, and service! I had a wonderful time dining here
Poor food quality. Nothing special about the food
The tea pot should have soemthing to keep it warm..tea set was so so...better use regular bread than croissant because its not as good when cold...the scone is tiny a bit disappointed
Lovely food and tea, however website states price at $38 when it is $48 plus $1 extra if one has a hot fruit tea. Scone size is tiny...not even two bits. Having the food in the square boxes elevates the experience. A treat once in a while due to the high price.
Great service and super cute place for high tea! We went right when they opened so it was quiet and really nice.
Though if you are looking for vegetarian high tea, you need to give them a days notice...which they didn’t tell me when I called. Just told me yes there was a vegetarian high tea.
my girl friend ended up getting the high tea set (and I think like all high tea sets) it was on the pricier side!
Went here for high tea on my birthday and the service was great! Server brought out a birthday dessert at the end. It was quiet, decor was nice and food was good! Will definitely be back.
Great new high tea place to try out. Beautiful and food and tea were delicious. A little pricey for high tea but i think with what they were offering it was adequate. A definite try if you’re a high tea lover.
bad service ever!
Lovely calming place for tea. Delicious tea choices with fruit teas being sublime. Food was amazing. Not sure why we were charged $10 more per person for our high tea, $38 on website, $48 when bill came so definitely will be decreasing number of visits.
Much calmer and more quiet than other tea places in Vancouver so still a hidden gem.
Horrible experience! We chose the $48 tea set, and all we got was a pot of green tea and some frozen desserts that they just got out of the fridge. Not to mention the noises from our next table - 10 girls were having a birthday party and everyone was screaming and laughing. I wouldn't come back even for free food.
Nice ambiance and interior. Open space. Pay parking only though. The
Don’t waste your time and money. Absolutely horrible service. The place is cute
There weren’t much people that day. The savoury part of the holiday hy tea set are delicious!
Unpleasant experience. I made a reservation at 2pm, confirmed on OpenTable. When we arrived, they seemed unaware of our reservation. Waited for 15 minutes to get a table. After we seated no menu provided. Waited for 5 minutes the waiter finally dropped their menu. We ordered two sets which took them one hour to prepare.
Staff very nice and good service and food overall good too !
I was COMPLETELY DISAPPOINTED with the experience. This place was a friend’s recommendation. She said its a hidden gem. So I decided to give it a try on my anniversary day and begin the day of our celebration there.
As we walked in, not only did the manager (or waiter) NOT greet us, but he rudely said “I don’t know how you were able to book a table with us.” I did not feel welcomed. Apparently they had a private reservation that day. Now I question why they didn’t try to reach me a day in advance when I confirmed my reservation? Poor customer service and not professional at all.
I had a hard time communicating with the waitress there. I had to keep repeating myself and she would question me back to the point where I start to wonder if she even understands English. I had a special request when I reserved, but nevermind, they didn’t fulfill it due to the communication problem with the waitress. The manager seems like he knew it when he saw me paying for the bill, as he talked to the waitress in their language, but it was too late. I was fed up already as she made me feel stupid.
Food wise, definitely not worth the money. Food tasted bland and nothing special.
I wouldn’t go back and would not recommend anyone to celebrate their special day there. Maybe unless you can talk to them in their language or if you rent their entire venue.
Super cute and modern Japanese take on high tea. Chris too great care of us and the scones were outstanding! Fun for a group, highly recommend.
Hidden gem with great service. Lovely food especially when it came in the box. Great variety of savoury and sweet items. My tea was amazing, passion fruit notes with real strawberries, blue berries and peaches that was such a delight to drink. Staff were very attentive and helpful with vegan food choices. The devilled egg was the best I have had and the mushroom toast was delicious. A definite place to come back to again with good friends. Keep up the good work.
A cool and trendy establishment, and they were really nice to my toddler too! Fantastic food, pastries, and tea!
Dining in a unique building, with great services, good food, and reasonable pricing.
Skip it! Absolute disaster and very disappointing for everyone in the party. If you must go only order the $38 tea set. The $88 signature tea set was a complete rip off. Food was bland and mediocre. Sparkling wine included was not the same as listed on menu or online. They poured $15 btl Asti instead of listed $40 btl Bottega Gold. Considering we paid $100+per person for a tea set the "mistake" was utterly a put off. When I inquired about the wine, waitress tried to cover up the blunder with excuses like out of stock, not chilled, for VIP party only?!?!?! What an insult to my guests at the table as we all question the genuineness of product service at this restaurant overall. After dispute, they finally open a brand new btl of Bottega at our table to mend their fault. Moving on, the "Kobe" beef was overcooked and dry like beef shank jerky. I've never seen brie cheese sliced so thin. Skimpy duck salad. Desserts were half defrosting on the platter on the table not exciting at all. Service was worst than a cafeteria. 2 waitresses on duty both hiding behind the bar counter eating their lunch while neglecting customers and ignoring patrons waiting at the door. Overall this meal was the worst hightea we've ever had in Vancouver. We've been to multiple establishments for afternoon tea: TWG, Fairmont Notch8, Honeysalt, Trump Champagne Lounge, Patisserie Fur Elise, L'Opera, Neverland, Secret Garden, Origo, Van Dusen, etc... Don't waste your money here! This place is basically an event space for rental bookings.
The staff were so friendly and eager to ensure that everything was good, very pleasant experience
the food was ok but the green tea crepe cake was so small and expensive
Impeccable food, poor service when owner isn’t around.
All in solid i
This venue was a little difficult to find, tucked away from the street, but the room is spacious, bright, and modern with lots of windows. This restaurant seems ideal for private events. There’s a grand piano, a floor to ceiling screen that features a wedding gown fashion show, there’s a chandelier bouquet of balloons, and a backdrop canvas of white hydrangea petals. We came here for afternoon tea and the food was well thought out and executed. The scones were served warm with a tiny portion of clotted cream and honey with flowers. I had the vanilla chai and it was nice and fragrant. The tea leaves were already strained for us, which was appreciated. A lot of attention to detail was placed on the food, it would have been nice to this detailed on their menu. I can’t eat as much as I used to, but I definitely could have eaten more. Perhaps two scones. I like that they had more savoury than sweet.
beautiful place with affordable price
Came here for the first time with my girlfriends for my bday. Cute, bright space. The high tea set was very cute and surprisingly tasty. Most high tea places have nice presentation but the food tastes mediocre. We had the fruit tea, the rose tea and earl grey. The high tea set also came with a carbonated rose drink that I really liked. They also brought out a "happy birthday" dessert for me at the end, which was a nice touch! Would come back again :)
The signature afternoon tea set tastes outstanding and we couldn't finish all of them. They offered a mango cake since it's my friend birthday. The cake itself looks cute and taste great.
Food was great and so was the tea it was a great experience overall!! Overall, comfortable feel with elegant dining !!
Randomly walked by. Had brunch. Food was amazing. Quiet little hidden gem. Will be back.
We arrived at 10:59am for our 11am reservation, excited to have tea service. The restaurant was closed, with no one inside. We waited ten minutes and when no one showed up and the door remained locked we tried to call the restaurant. The number went to voicemail where the inbox did not indicate it was the restaurant, only a robot voice. We left them a voicemail and let them know since they were closed we were dining elsewhere. They called me at 11:39am and I missed their call. They left me a voicemail of them hanging up and then open table notified me that I missed my resveration. When in fact I didn’t miss it, the restaurant missed me due to them being closed. Very disappointing and will never try this restaurant in the future.
I was there with friend to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant is bright as one of the walls is slanted glass wall. Decor is simple yet elegant. We ordered yuzu chicken plate brunch and “Hy Tea” afternoon tea set. Afternoon tea was not bad. Their chef also provided us a piece of strawberry mousse cake as my birthday cake. It looked pretty and tasted delicious, topped with strawberries, layered with both strawberries and blueberries, and devoted with chocolate sauce and some apple crumbs.
Overall experience was good. There are still rooms for improvement in terms of foods and reception service.
Environment is great, but food wad very disappointed. Ordered the yuzu chicken from brunch, the chicken was supper dry, wild rice no flavour at all. $18 is pricy for the quality
The service was really bad, I ordered their $88 signature high tea. Foods were just ok, but not worth as that price. Champagne was no bubbles, everything was totally bad in my experience.
