   First time here - food was absolutely outstanding! Happy to see they have quite a few vegetarian options on the menu. Had the vegetarian loaf with the mashed potato and mushroom gravy. Service and ambiance were both top notch 👏🏻 Very elegant and upscale. Will definitely be back!!

   The food was really good per usual but our server was not good at all. For a premium restaurant the service needs to be better.

   The front door staff seemed almost irritated by our arrival. Which is, needless to say off putting. In contrast our serving was outstanding and the food was great. Like two different restaurants.

   This is THE standout restaurant in Calgary. We have eaten here a number of times on different days and at different times of the day. The food is exquisite, the service absolutely out of the top drawer and the ambience is always in the Goldilocks zone, just right. Cannot wait to come back again.

    Always a treat to have lunch at Hy’s. It’s upscale but they aren’t fussed on dress codes. A perfect steak as per ordered every time.

    Sarah was great to introduce us to this amazing experience! She talk about Hy’s history and their great food. She was patience with us and gave a detail explanation about the menu.     Love this place, but had a big client who ordered a medium steak, I ordered rare, and they were reversed when served. It was too late at that point. Hasn’t happened before, service and food are top notch.

    I haven't been to Hy's since they were on 4th Ave,a few weeks ago 😉 They don't have a drive thru window and I've never seen coupons. It's always been a "special" place and still is. We were there to celebrate a couple big deals and I to thank my lady for looking after my best friend while I was away...so,it was the ideal spot. Food was amazing,service even better... Never a cheap meal...but always memorable... Glad they were part of a special evening.

    Our server David was amazing - I came with some friends and we enjoyed the caesar salad, steaks, veggies, and the bananas foster. Drinks were great too - both cocktails and mocktails. Worth the splurge, we will be back!

    Another excellent evening at Hy's with warm, upscale atmosphere, the best Caesar salad in town (made table side), and a hot delicious dinner. Perfect cocktails and wine bookended the experience. Thanks, Bruce!

    Very disappointing. I ordered filet with crab, asparagus and hollandaise sauce. I don’t believe that was a fillet. It was tough and had some gristle. Charred on the outside not medium rare inside as ordered. My husband ordered New York strip. Very thin almost like a quick fry. Waiter David was great. I will never return to Hys

    My friend ordered filet mignon with crab. He ordered rare and it come as medium. The crab was not a piece of dungeon crab meat but in sauces, he said it was like canned crab. I would think for what he paid for, they can at least use real crab. I ordered roast half chicken and I got one drum steak and a breast. The flavour is a bit blend. The only think we like is low noise level and pretty good ambience. don’t think we will go back again.

    By far my new favorite steak house in Calgary. Our waiter Thedo was absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable. His witty banter added a level of comfort we don't see very often.     Went for Valentines to impress my better half. It felt like a regular dinner - there were no special Valentines menu items, flowers or even acknowledgement. Food was very average. Steak came out severely under-cooked and had to wait 10 more minutes for them to get it right. They didn’t even offer a free dessert for our troubles. The value is simply not there. Will not go again.
