We were a table of 6 teammates from a nearby office. We were seated in a smaller room so noise levels of the larger room were mitigated. Food choices were compelling without being overwhelming, presentation was very attractive and service was particularly good. Would recommend Hy's for a special, high quality team dinner!

Not the place to go if you’re looking for a quiet dinner. Food was ok, not spectacular, service was good, drinks were weak. I had vodka on the rocks and they may have given me barely a shot with mostly ice. Had to shout across the table to talk to my wife. Overall we were disappointed.

The food was excellent and service was great. I think they should serve veggies with all steaks besides just potatoe. But the steak was cooked to perfection so that makes it hard to complain. It was noisy for my taste, but I think others liked to freedom to enjoy their time loudly, and we got used to it after a while. Live musician made for great background. All and all, it was a great evening with great food.

The food was not at all what it used to be and the menu choices were limited. I ordered a salad: it was small and tasteless. Wait staff were pleasant. Will not rush back.

Hy's Steakhouse had a great ambience - upscale but casual enough. Their scallop appetizers were great and perfectly cooked. The Steak au poivre was a bit tough (ordered medium well), and the soup was nothing to write home about. I'd say go for the scallops and crabcakes!

We had 2 steak meals there and it was delicious. The starter Tuna was also delicious. Paired with a great wine selection, I'd highly recommend Hy's.

While the service from the waiters were excellent, The salmon and shrimp was too salty and the steak we had ordered was a little over cooked. The dessert was decent nothing crazy special. We really wanted to like it because we heard many good reviews however our experience fell short. I had requested a nice seating placement and we were seated in a corner with many people swifting by which kind of ruined the mood.

Our evening was spectacular with Jonathon who was our server and Robyn who was our salad mistress. Caesar salad was amazing and the Steak Diane to die for. The Bananas Foster was the solid ending to a great dinner

Our first time at Hy's. Cheesy Bread is a must have, as is the tableside made Caesar Salad. Great service by a real professional waiter. A bit too expensive to go often, but if you are looking for a fine dining steakhouse, look no further.

We were disappointed that Jimmy wasn’t working last night, however, Jonathan and the rest of the team did an excellent job! They treated us exceptionally well and he was a first-class waiter. The food was delicious - as we expect when we dine at Hy’s.

they did forget our drinks, (came out after the entrees), but apart from that experience was 10/10… the marbling and quality of the steaks was amazing and so was the service, i highly recommend

We returned after an absence of many years since the move from Adelaide. Not the same and needs to be fine tuned to equal the reputation from which it built its reputation. the doorman that used to stand outside was standing inside not even assisting with the door. The reception was overwhelmed - ladies seemed unable to deal with guests checking in and coats and were disorganized. We enjoyed the table, location and service. Caesar Salad myeah (not the best) Cheese bread - Luke warm/wrapped in foil you could not rewrap Beef Wellington perfectly prepared but we’ve had better Cheesecake - average Music from the bar sounded great but no longer live pianist. Sorry Hy’s / only thing as good as the “old days” was the martini and the professional courteous staff. Unfortunately we have too many choices in Toronto now. The convenient location is about the only improvement

A little sticker shock from the prices, but best rack of lamb I have had in years! Service was a little slow, but that’s likely because the server was genuinely engaging with clients without acting rushed.
