    Hy’s is reliably amazing. We were seated quickly upon arrival. We had some changes to our reservation and they were handled without problem. The steak was cooked beautifully. The asparagus was a little undercooked, but that was the only glitch and not a big deal. Our server, Ryan, was entertaining and professional, and made the night memorable. Thank you!!

    It was a celebration of birthday. For appetizers, we got the cheese toast. It’s disappointing that it was served with a foil tin. Presentation could have been so much better for a fine restaurant like this. The cheese toast was ordinary— I personally would prefer sourdough bread, and the cheese was too oily. For mains, We both order the black peppercorn steak — medium rare and it was good. I would say the baked potato needs more flavors. They gave us a complimentary dessert— the chocolate cake. It was good, though too “chocolatey” for my partner. However, they did the plating I requested! Overall, excellent ambience and service. You pay more for the service and environment for the food.

    Shout out to the staff here. My friends and I made a reservation for diner to celebrate a special event. The food was great as always and the staff was too notch. We requested a certain game on the tv and there were happy to do it. Thank you Lauren and to a gentleman who came over to check on us. I think his name was Richard. We will be back!

    It was our first time at Hy's as we're not from Toronto. We were there for my girlfriends birthday. The experience was honestly my best dinning experience I've ever had. The food was phenomenal and the service was exceptional. We will definitely be coming back!

    ordered the Riley with the bone, $184 , medium rare and it came medium to medium well. sent it back. had to wait for 20 mins. the esparagus came tasting burnt. the waiter had to be called to get some attention to our table. Food came but he never came to ask us if we wanted fresh pepper, or ketchup with our French fries. The escargot were very very buttery, the oysters Rockefeller had a lot of creamy spinach and not a lot of taste. The wedge salad was ok. too bad that Hy's became that bad. the place was packed with business people and Tourists. as long is that packed they don't need to change.

    Gabriel (Our Server) was exceptionally attentive, fun and very polite!! Overall service experience was exceptional! We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and Gabriel made us feel that we made a right choice to choose Hy’s steak house as a place of our celebration !! We had a table of 5 adults.

    We had a great time at Hy’s celebrating a birthday. Steaks and sides were all delicious. Service was wonderful with some selections prepared at the table. Highly recommend and look forward to returning again soon.

    We had a great meal and service. Dorian was an excellent server and had wonderful suggestions. 12 oz Filet had a bit more fat on it that I'm used to. Asparagus and potato sides were very good.

    I've been dining at Hy's since 1956, in many cities and locations. I've yet to have a bad experience. My all time favourite restaurant.

    Food was outstanding! Wonderful steak, perfect loaded baked potato. Ryan - our server - one of the best. After dinner we went down to the bar where there was a singer - he is awesome and staff at the bar are amazing too!

    I went here Saturday night for my boyfriend’s birthday. From the moment we walked in everyone was so kind and welcoming. We were originally seated downstairs but asked if we could go upstairs and they said no problem. There was live music playing and the ambiance was great. Jonathan was our server and he was amazing; energetic, hilarious, very knowledgeable about the menu. I got the chef’s choice that night which was halibut with 2 prawns served over mushroom risotto. It was veeeerry good. I wish they would add it to the menu so I can get it my next visit. My boyfriend enjoyed the steak he got and the Brussels sprouts. The only thing we didn’t love was the banana dessert, it’s meh but the experience of seeing it was fun. Overall really great dining experience with delicious food. We will be going back.
