The place is so steeped in history and we have had so many special occasions there that it is like coming home to an old friend. The staff are fantastic (especially Blair!) and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Cheese bread, caesar salad, steak.... creme brulee for dessert - how can you go wrong. A true classic with the ambiance to match.
Another great meal at Hy’s. Both the food and service were incredible, as always.
For the price the food is just average. I feel like Keg on Alberni is wat better! Best bang for your buck.

The caesar salad and cheese toast were outstanding but the steaks were just barely ok and presentation was boring and green beans were the vegatable, cheapest veg you can buy and nothing on them. For the price of this meal totally not worth it. Will not be going back again for dinner maybe a salad at lunch. Our waiter was amazing .
