   The food was only so/so and we likely won't be back. We sat outside and that area could be nicer. Also, annoying when young people within ear shot think it's okay to drop F-bombs all over the place--not the restaurant's fault, but it added to my dislike for the overall experience.

   The Icehouse Minneapolis is the go to restaurant for great music and outstanding food and service. I have never had a bad experience here and I have been going since it opened.

   I brought out of town visitors here, two of whom were vegetarian. There are myriad veggie and gluten free offerings and they enjoyed the Grain bowl and salads. I found the creole trio fantastic with large shrimp a generous portion of salmon and two "dumplings" that were tasty. Nice music venue but alas, we were sufficiently early that we only got to hear the mike checks.....

   I read a positive review in the Strib and wanted to try Icebox restaurant for a special event. The food was good but very expensive, drinks were even higher in price with add-ons that were not expected. Taylor was a good server, but maybe should have mentioned the add-on costs. There was no apparent attention to any kind of ambiance. White walls everywhere with just one piece of art work. Very hard wooden chairs. I wasn't expecting strolling violins, but it was pretty bleak. We won't go back. You can find good food anywhere with much better attention to comfortable surroundings and a little interior design

    The host was kind and welcoming, server Nico attentive, but not at all overbearing, but rather kind and helpful, food very good - flavorful and fresh, and live music was outstanding. Beautiful venue with so many great attributes. We will be back.

    The ambience is rustic, minimal, but noise level is good and food and service is great! We were there for Accordo and had happy hour and dinner there besides. Both of us were very happy with the food and the menu was interesting to say the least. I had the stew and my companion had the Grain Bowl. The cheesecake for dessert was delicious and I am a cheesecake baker and connoisseur.

    Super cool vibe on a snowy night. We came early for dinner before a later concert. Sat in the front room while a jazz band played in the main room. Perfect volume to still hear under dinner conversation. Menu was creative and affordable. After dinner we headed over to the main room for a show. Sounded great.

    I am always looking for ways to share experiences with friends. This was a great place to do so. The music was nice with a smooth jazz feel. The ambiance was perfect for intimacy. The food was delicious. The server came around at the right moment each time.

    Overall a great experience. Food-wise, it lacked seasoning, not flavor but salt. The timing of our starters felt rushed and the food was luke-warm, which puzzled us since it wasn’t busy. Flavors we’re explosive and delicious but just not hot. The fries were awful & that’s saying a lot because, well, how can fries ever be awful?! Too much cinnamon & salt non-existent. Music was lovely. Server was A+, very attentive and friendly. I haven’t been to Icehouse since layout change, & it felt a little awkward to me. Not as upbeat but that may be because it was pretty early yet & weather conditions kept people at home. Not sure. This is all just my humble opinion. My honey and I have a background in hospitality, so we experience things differently. We always aim to be supportive, especially with these few venues that feature live music & we want to see thrive.     The flavors of everything worked great, but our food wasn’t very warm by the time it was delivered to us. This was all of the entrées as well as our Szechuan cauliflower. The music was wonderful, but it was a little loud for my taste. I love to listen to it in the background but also be able to enjoy a conversation at the same time.

    We went here for Valentines Day, great atmosphere with a fantastic live music stage. We somehow scored a table for 2 near the stage and we were delighted by the ambiance as well as the quality of the food. Would definitely come again!

    We were here for live music at brunch. The service was excellent! The menu items looked awesome, but I was really disappointed at the portions for the price. One dish, the fried green tomato benedict, consisted of two small fried tomato slices and two poached eggs with a bunch of greens for $13. I was assuming the description was of the toppings on an English muffin, not that the base was the tomato. We’d come back and give it another shot, but I was bummed to still be hungry.

    The jazz band and the ambiance were terrific. The expensive dinner was horrible, however. I'm pretty sure the regular cook called in sick. The crawfish beigets and the rice in the grain bowl were raw. The $30.00 salmon was overdone and the cheese grits had no taste. There is no way that is the usual or they would be closed up.

    This was my first time but won't be my my last. The live music was exceptional. Food was good great options 😋 service was ok the waitress forgot to bring me some items ordered but it wasn't worth making a big deal about it.     We were greeted immediately and seated quickly. Our waiter was pleasant and efficient. Our food and drink came very timely. I had the smothered burrito which was a large meal and was very good and flavorful. Another had the meatloaf which was said to be bland. Another had the pork sandwich which was sad to be good.     Went on a non busy night between Christmas and New Years for our annual “Christmas Night” out. The entree’s were mediocre, the gumbo was in edible, the NA drink was undrinkable (tasted like sparkling apple cider vinegar) and the service was so slow that even though we had 2 hours before our show, these wasn’t time to look at a dessert menu before we had to go.     The service was not great - we waited 25 minutes for a drink, the food came out before we got our drinks. No acknowledgment or apology from our server. And how about festive decor? Nothin. It could have been any month of the year. With as stressful as life can be for so many these days, making the opportunity to celebrate the winter, a holiday season with a few lights and greens goes a long way. Curmudgeonly. I mean.
