The pasta was not cooked to my preference, too al dente. I asked for a box to take home and they brought the bill right after. We didn’t even finish our drinks....
Even there was a line at the entrance, each session is supposed to be one and half hour. We only stayed for 45 mins.. I had lunch there the first time on Bloor side in July, it was a fun experience. This time on Bay side was very disappointing. I will not go back.

Grateful to have had the patio option on an unusually warm October afternoon...during COVID wave 2.

My pizza al padellino (melanzane) was delicious as usual. However, can’t say that I really enjoyed the spiedini di calamari. While it was nicely grilled in terms of tenderness, the taste was definitely off (leaving me to question the freshness). And at the 15.00 price point, the portion leaves it feeling very inflated.

We've eaten at Eataly indoors and thought we'd try the patio since COVID has eliminated indoor dining for the foreseeable future. We were not disappointed as the food quality was just as good and the patio felt safe and socially distanced. The weather on Friday was glorious and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Hoping for another visit before the snow flies! Hang in there, Eataly - we would hate to lose you!

Despite everything, Il Patio manages to deliver atmosphere, great food and excellent (and safe) service. A wonderful break from the gloomy atmosphere of these days, a little step into playful Italian sophistication.

The server was brilliant and had great knowledge about the drinks! Food was amazing also.

Celebrating a special occasion, they greeted up with a glass of complimentary Prosecco

Food was excellent, as was the service. Love the ambience. With the new tent, it feels more cozy as you don't notice the traffic on Bay street. Service was fast and efficient. Looking forward to my next visit.

While everyone is doing their best to accommodate diners outside as the weather gets colder, it was simply unpleasant and too windy to enjoy lingering over lunch. The cold wind down Bay Street coupled with the metal chairs resulted in quite a chill afterwards. I am sure it would be quite different during warmer weather. Food was good overall - especially the Fried Zucca.

Il Patio is working hard to stay open...several steps ahead of Covid-19. There are patio heaters, good distancing between tables, substantial dividers creating intimate dining spaces, and patio umbrellas. The staff are superb: friendly and knowledgeable on proper protecol during these challenging times. The patio menus have something for everyone. We've eaten here repeatedly during the last 6 weeks and intend to continue as long as the patio can remain open.

Friendly staff and very efficient. Mains were amazing. Ordered each of the skewers but the seafood ones weren’t that warm. But the chicken skewer was nice.

Patio seating was very nice. The heat lamps and “greenery” dividers were perfect for separating our table from others and sitting outside on a beautiful fall day.

Erika our server was very friendly and explained the process clearly.

Would definitely go again.

Everything was good, but when we finished our dish, immediately a girl offered to us desert... we said no, thanks and just one second after the same girl gave me the bill... I had not requested it... it was a bad detail...

Service was great, food was good but not fantastic so the price is a little too high for what it is.

The patio is cute but it is on the street so I can't gave it same rating as a place with a private courtyard, there is an ornamental wall separating it from the street though which is nice, umbrellas, and heaters which are all appreciated.

I was disappointed that they offered no desserts, tea/coffee.

Overall good, but can improve.

I had been looking forward to it, since sunny warm days are declining , and I love Italian food. I gave you 'good' on overall , but it was disappointing. Ravioli were delicious but a few more on the plate would have been appreciated. But we were totally put out , by the fact that we couldn't have a coffee to warm us up when we first sat down and waited for our meal. We had been waiting in the rain and a nice warm drink would have been comforting. Nor could we have coffee and dessert at the end of our meal. Made no sense to us, that one can't sit comfortably and enjoy a dessert and coffee on a patio. Stupid system you have !!
I have been to your coffee shop pre covid, and remembered after pizza upstairs, having to search around for coffee then go to another counter for canoli :-((( I would recommend Eataly, but I would definitely pass on the info above. Guess it is fine if you like drinking wine and don't care for dessert.
Ended up going to a small coffee shop across the street with 2 tables outside for coffee and sweets. Line up at your coffee shop was too long and I didn't want to be eating indoors. Your loss !

Great to be right in the thick of the action sitting right out on Bay Street. It’s not be of the positive things from Covid that I hope remains after pandemic. Nicely decorated and safe separation between tables.

My server was very helpful. She did an excellent job. However, the food was okay for the price. Nothing extraordinary. The patio is a nice idea for the summer but I think the seating close to the sidewalk should have a barrier because homeless people kept interfering with me and my friend and asking for money and touching our stuff (we were eventually able to get seats closer to the road instead (this was much better).

Grossest patio in Toronto. Overflowing garbage cans, too tightly packed together tables, claustrophobic. We didn’t even sit down, left, went indoors and had a lovely meal at Eataly in their near vacant restaurant!

The service was casual and friendly, and the food came out quickly but we were recommended to try multiple sharing plates and they all came out together, we had no room for all of the plates and the staff didn't really seem to think this was an issue. Food was ok, the pizza was very pedestrian and the fried seafood was overcooked.

My experience was below par at best.
The food is fine, I wouldn’t say it’s anything to write home about by a long shot. Prices are standard downtown Toronto range.
They brought my salad and entree out at the same time. The explanation I got was “we serve as it’s ready.” Apparently this was to be communicated to me when we were seated, but of the FOUR staff members that came to my table, none informed me of this. The reason why this happens apparently is there are two separate kitchens that prepare these dishes and they cannot communicate with each other. What a ridiculous thing for a restaurant to tell a patron! That’s a huge failing on their part.
So I had a cold salad and a hot pasta sitting in front of me and all I was offered was a side plate to cover up the pasta. Needless to say, I ate my entree first and salad second.
Apart from that, despite there being so many people coming to the table, they did so in the beginning and then ignored us.
It was a cold day and they took forever to start the heaters up and did so only after a few of us asked.
Things that they couldn’t control but make this a blah experience nonetheless: traffic, Yonge-Bloor noise levels and the fact that the patio is mostly in the shade so you’re going to be cold now that fall is here. Overall a 2/5 experience at the most. Just don’t bother.

This is my second time going to the Eataly Patio - it's a great location and the ambiance is amazing. I think they should do it again next summer post-COVID (fingers crossed we are out of this by then) just because it's so lovely to sit outside and eat pizza and sip on their amazing Aperol Spritz. If you haven't been, you should go!

By far one of my best experiences at a vegetarian restaurant. All the dishes were delightful and you don’t even realize there’s no meat in the dishes.

Highly recommend the bang bang broccoli and the mushrooms and tofu.

Outside on Bloor Street at lunchtime is noisy and windy. The towers keep you in the shade with little sun. The wait staff are excellent. The main (ravioli) was superb. The starter (Gardiniera) was a swimming pool of oil where you have to fish for veggies.

The pizza was super oily, not good at all, and the service lacked warmth. We were told they had no feta cheese, no tea and no coffee. And when we were ready to ask for our bill, our server was nowhere to be seen: not surprising, as she had gone on break! What kind of an Italian restaurant serves mediocre pizza and no coffee? What kind of dining establishment allows its waiting staff to go on break while patrons they are responsible for haven't yet left? You tell me.
