Love their menu, service was not so great but noticed there were some attentive servers just we didn’t get lucky I guess. The bucatini pasta, arancini, burrata and the pizzas are fantastic!
Had a great time at dinner! Food was good and service was good! Our second server was very kind, helped us deal with a bee, talked to us about our drinks and was very prompt with service.
Enjoyable! Food was great!
It was so nice and fun and all of the staff was greaaaaat and accommodating!! The food was amazing and fresh and tasty and would definitely recommend to friends and family for a fun and refreshing evening in The city
The online menu shows items that are not available at this time. Be prepared for no or extremely limited options for gluten free diets.
Felt rushed out the entire time and the food it’s not authentic Italian. If you know, you know.
Fantastic food always! Tough to have ambiance sitting in Bay Street LOL but understandably. We chose patio and enjoyed thoroughly. One small complaint, no desert on patio and by time we were done dinner, pastry area inside was closed, so disappointing. I wish we were informed first.
Great Food, Great Experience!
Would definitely go back!
Great food very cute patio. Service was fast and food was delicious.
The food was really great, staff was friendly and helpful. A couple of weird things:
* We got bread and olive oil at the beginning (one slice each lol) but they weren't allowed to give us balsamic for some reason. Kind of pretentious
* I have a thing with Italian food that I like to have a cappuccino at the end. Despite having a coffee shop on-site, I wasn't able to actually order one to the table
We had a good time, enjoyed the food, but those little things were weird considering it was a pretty pricy meal.
The branzino was grilled perfectly. The white bean red onion contorno seemed to be missing arugula as I do not recall greens on the plate and I thought rapini would have been a perfect adjunct to the meal. Wines were excellent from Puglia and Sicilia. Funnily enough I thought it odd that there was no dessert offering of any sort. I would have nipped upstairs to the store to buy a punnet of blueberries but they wouldnt hear of it. I very fine meal regardless.
Food was good, could’ve been better though
The patio is very noisy, with constant traffic, and pedestrians passing close by - in fact, not at the social distance required - without masks. Therefore, the tables on the street side should be moved at least a foot inside the patio.
Long wait to be served
Our waiter was the least experienced server I’ve ever had. Beyond inattentive. Paid us NO attention. Mostly this fellow just needs basic training in service industry.
My friend left a hefty tip but he deserved nothing more than this constructive critique.
Waiting 70 minutes for food (a salad, bowl of pasta) was ridiculous. His explanation was a printer problem.
Menus were forgotten. Then he brought one (not two) for two people. A jug of water was delivered but he didn’t pour, offer to pour or offer ice. Drinks got mixed up. Chilled rosé arrived just as we started our Aperol! He said well I can’t pour it back in the bottle so I’ll just give it you now! NO I Dont think so.
We sat for two hours in 35 degrees as sun came around from our umbrella. He might have offered to adjust the umbrella which was very heavy… and he never once refreshed our HOT water glasses. Even after I said an ant was floating in my glass- he just walked away. So I fed my drink to the petunia plant nearby. So so bad. Eataly can sell food but they sure can’t serve it.
I miss the lobster squid ink pasta. would it be possible to bring it back
It was a birthday celebration but it was not acknowledged by staff. The food was good and the ambiance was nice.
While the minuscule amount of fish in the smoked trout salad was tasty, it was, alas, minuscule for the price. Thr preciousness of not being able to order a coffee or a Diet Coke is unnecessary. Not running back unless I’m already satiated.
The top sirloin speducci was very tough. Everything else was excellent though!
Nadia was a wonderful server and we had a great experience!
Great food and ambience! Would definitely return.
We love Eataly and have eaten at their restaurants all over the world. The patio was nice, and our server was lovely but the menu was very limited. There wasn't much variety and I was confused because there was one menu on the website and one at the actual restaurant and when we arrived I was disappointed to see a different menu than I was expecting. Nonetheless, we had a pleasant meal and enjoyed our wine, and the service was excellent. Not sure I would return to the patio again though.
We had a great server and the wine and charcuterie was great but felt like the main courses and salad fell a bit flat. Pasta wasn’t cooked properly on one and the other was over powered by oils or flavour. Both weren’t super warm coming out had basic plating. Salad was subpar. Pizza Libretto or Terroni’s food is better and cheaper. Expected more from Eataly.
We hear so much about the restaurant just to be disappointed of the overall experience. We had 3 different servers. No one came to see if we needed enything after we got served our food. I eventually had to wave someone to ask why I didn’t get calamari on my Ink pasta meal. The waiter insisted that it was not part of the seafood pasta ingredients but it clearly says on the menu. I had to make an excuse for him, that maybe the kitchen ran out of it. The waiter said yeah maybe. And they gave you more of the other seafood instead. What kind of an answer is that? This place is over rated!
didn’t particularly appreciate the menu not reflecting what you had online, as well as the lack of umbrellas (and the condescending response when
Lovely patio with the leafy hedge like dividers and greenery. We all enjoyed our lunch.
Food portions small and overpriced
The patio is off of Bloor St, so lots of people watching but also car noise if that's not your thing this wouldn't be ideal. Food is good (I had the partnership cheese board, a very large serving of cheese and ample bread), wine, beer, cocktail and mocktail selection is broad enough to appeal to any mood.
Great service and food. Since the patio is very close to bloom st there are some homeless people nearby that are yelling and using profanity. Not in Eately control however. That aside, we enjoyed our pizza and salads, and the aperol spritz was perfect!
Good patio and very well located. Always a pleasure to visit
This was our second and last attempt and it was a mess from the start. From the bar and kitchen closing at 9pm without notice, to the oddly presented deep fried and inedible pork chop made our dining experience dismal at best.
Delicious! Very limited on gluten free options but I know other Eataly restaurants have better options.
Excellent service. Knowledgeable server about wines and food ingredients. Able to accommodate special diet needs. Large portions.
A late afternoon lunch of homemade pastas (mushroom ravioli and spinach tagliatelle) was delightful in presentation, and delicious taste. The Aperol Spritz was a refreshing match for the vegetable spiedini (skewers).
My daughter and I had a lovely date at this gorgeous patio!!
Our server was amazing, friendly and attentive. As always the food was brilliant!
Despite the note left on the Open Table app, our anniversary was not acknowledged. Worse, the pizza was doughy and lacked tomato sauce, and the pasta was not cooked enough.
Some tables had no umbrellas to provide shade. Unfortunate that we were at one of these tables. There was enough room to add an umbrella. Service was subpar. Waiters didn't really know the menu. Could've been better. The only plus was the patio was on Bloor. Never would there ever be a chance for an outdoor patio to be on Bloor and Bay. Eataly should make the most out of it and maximize this opportunity for ALL guests, not just some.
It was a lovely and delicious lunch with a great opportunity to do some shopping in Eataly after the meal.
Lovely prompt service in a lovely patio setting
Food was fresh hot and delicious
