Il Bazzali is Cuisine & Opera’s Montreal restaurant. Using seasonal market ingredients, Chef Davide Bazzali and his team combine regional Italian cuisine with a pinch of international flavors. ‘CuisineOpera’ prides itself on eco-friendly practices. The interior of ‘Il Bazzali’ was constructed by the Chef himself, reusing and refurbishing found wood and furniture.     Excellent food, service and atmosphere at a reasonable price. My wife had Ravioli and loved it. I had arancini and braised beef and both were wonderful. The singing chef was a nice touch adding to the atmosphere! He took the time to make a personal visit to our table to ask us if we enjoyed our experience. Service was excellent and they were very friendly. We are from Ontario but we will definitely make it a point to return when we are in town in the future. Italian Nonna quality food but we could never tell her!

    Our dinner was amazing! I had the chefs special salad and rissoto and my husband had the arencini balls and carbenara pasta. Everything was delicious! The server was friendly and helpful and the owner sang opera songs and visited each table. He is also the chef and moved to Montreal from Italy. I highly recommend!

    Je mange souvent de la nourriture italienne faite maison, donc je n'ai pas l'habitude de visiter des restaurants italiens. Celui-ci ne m'a pas déçu, la nourriture est fraîche, les ingrédients sont de qualité et on n'essaie pas d'en faire trop. Les classiques sont respectés et très bien exécutés (par exemple : ravioli alla toscana). Je reviendrai!

    Excellent service and decor had a lot of character. What really made this special were the kind staff open to assist you with every inquiry. Food was excellent albeit linguini bolognese needing more meat . As for the pizza tasty but crust was to thick . Overall great time , the ravioli was a awesome and mazing!!

    Tout était parfait. Serveuse avait le soucie de la qualité de nos repas ainsi que notre présence. De plus, en aucun temps la serveuse nous as dérangé lorsque nous étions en grande conversation entre nous 6. Merci pour cette belle accueil.

    Staying in Old Montreal with my girlfriend for the week. I grew tired of the tourist traps and overpriced food— I did research to find an authentic Italian restaurant that only locals know about. Out of all 10 restaurants — I’ll Bazzali was easily our best dining experience. The food was made with love — it’s palatable. The service is impeccable. The prices are fair. I can’t wait to come back! Bonus points for the sommelier picking a perfect bottle of wine!
