   We are pescatarians and try to eat healthy. Il Bruto has some great choices like the beet salad, broccoli and fish that are healthy and delicious.

   Well executed and tasty. Good recommendations for wine pairing. Service was lovely. I would love to see some veggies added ala carte. The music was a bit loud though.

   I have been twice and the first time was uneventful and thought I would give it a second try. This time we sat outside, our server was not great, to be frank. I asked for a house wine and she stated they didn't have a house, fine but offered no suggestions. I asked her for a suggestion and she didn't have any (the menu is quite fancy with wine so I feel like she could have at least asked another server if she didn't know). I then asked for bred and she scoffed that it isn't on the menu I said, oh apologies I had it last time and really like it. She then let us know they did have it and brought it to the table. The food for it being Italian... there are better places in Austin. I also got bit up by mosquitos outside & the flys were awful. Other tables in Austin have a little fan to keep the flies away. They also add additional fees onto the bill such as "employee fund" which I think is odd! Very pricey for a lackluster experience.

    Solid food but spacey service was awful. When I said we were going to order a Sangiovese she just walked away are returned w a rando bottle. Even worse was our eating plates were never changed out so we were eating each course in the leftovers from the previous course. Really disappointed

    Overall, a great experience. Daveon (I believe that was his name) was an excellent server. Very knowledgeable about the menu, friendly, and non-intrusive. The food was all very good! The pizza and heirloom tomato apps were incredible. Bolognase had amazing flavor but was a bit small. Two reasons to not give it 5 stars: 1) we had outdoor seating and there was virtually no air circulation. It was extremely muggy out and that’s only going to get worse for austin in the summer. Definitely need some fans and a tent to be comfortable. 2) drinks - drinks were very underwhelming and small. My girlfriend and I ordered two and it was $44!! I would go back but probably stick to pizzas and apps. Two lemonchello shots with every check was a nice finisher!

    Wonderful place with fabulous service. Lovely atmosphere, great quality drinks and food, with some nice pairings and creative dishes. Plus, gelato and sorbetto made in house. One of Austin's best.

    The first impression wasn’t great. The hostesses were not friendly. They actually bordered on rude. The service was okay, nothing spectacular, but not bad. We ordered a pizza, the gnocchi, and two drinks. The pizza was a bit burnt on the bottom, but not cooked enough inside. If it had not been burnt, it would have been great. The gnocchi were soft and pillowy. The texture was perfect, but they were served lukewarm. The drinks were pretty pricey. The hostesses acted put out when we inquired about the code for validation when leaving. Had they been pleasant, the whole experience might have seemed better, but to start and end with such unfriendliness was off-putting. I might go back, but there are lots of other places to try first.

    Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to taste good. My husband and I reserved a table inside and we were originally seated near the front by the front desk area. The front desk area had like a line of people and we noticed that many of the restaurant staff would walk back and forth by the table. I asked the waitress for another location and she seated us at a table directly under the speaker on the hallway to the restroom. The music was so loud so we couldn’t even talk to each other and staff/guests kept walking by us to go the restroom or the kitchen. We then asked to move outside, but there was apparently no availability even though there were plenty of empty tables. We decided to leave.

    Our server was very knowledgeable, described the menu perfectly and it helped with the social ambiance. We are from out of state and the vibe was awesome and welcoming!Great wine selection! Was looking for rare Italian wines and they def had many to choose from!

    I was dissapointed by Il Brutto, while the menu was interesting and the resturaunt itself was nice the food was not what I would expect for the pricetag. Simply put: nice environment, great service, mediocre food.

    Mother/daughter dinner! Great dinner! Loved the food and service was great!! Our table was a little loud in the bar, but I think it’s because there was a birthday party near us but we didn’t care. Will totally come back!

    We dined on a Friday night and thank god we had reservations. The restaurant is darling (we sat inside) but the noise level is quite loud and the tables are very, very close to one another! Our waitress was super helpful in her suggestions and the food was superb. My husband and I both had different pasta dishes and we shared the tomato/burrata appetizer. There are so many restaurants to choose from in Austin - this one should be on your list!!

    Absolutely best italian food in Austin! I can't stop talking about how incredible the drinks, service, and dishes are here. It is such a chic ambiance, with incredible live music, string lights along the tree, and attention to detail in the decor. This spot is super underrated, with the highlight being the staff. Sahara was our server, and she was attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. We can't wait to come back!

    The last two times I came in town, I ate at Il Brutto and was pleasantly surprised. This time the food was not as tasty, and the portions were TINY and VERY EXPENSIVE. For this reason, I can no longer recommend Il Brutto.
