Everything was superb! The location is central, the ambience is calm yet modern, the service was knowledgeable, attentive but never awkward, the wine was excellent and FINALLY a correct Aperol Spritz! the food was beautiful and flavorful. From start to the Salted Caramel Pudding -perfection. This was the first of many meals at Il Carminetto when in Whistler for us.
great pasta. great service. thank you for a wonderful evening. I highly recommend.
This place rivals the italian food in Vancouver. Highly reccomend for date night in whistler.
Superb service; delicious food. So good!
Exceptional food and service. Pricey but you get what you pay for. This is fine dining of a an extraordinary level for a ski resort.
We went for my birthday. Everything was wonderful!
Given araxi affiliation, expectations were high but did not deliver.
When we first arrived I let the server know how hungry my 7 year old was and the food did arrive quickly but took forever to order. The food was very rich due to WAY to much better. The serving sizes were small. We won’t be back.
The best part of the evening was the excellent server who managed our table and our food choices very well.
It’s a long weekend. It’s super busy. The service was like milestone quality. I understand.
My lady and I went to for our valentines date and had a blast.
The service right from when we checked in to when we left was perfect. Our food and wine was superb. I can’t wait to get back there.
Our server Sam was great! The salumi was fantastic!!
Very good front desk
Service was not in accordance to the level of this restaurant.
- To busy waiter to give our table attention
- To many errors in the serving
Our family of four celebrated my husband’s birthday at Il Caminetto. Food, wine, and service were top notch, and of course you pay for it. All dishes had a little something different to them, unexpected but delicious. The room was warm, comfortable, and we felt lucky to be in a gorgeous, buttery soft corner booth. We’ll come back.
Great place. One of our favorites! Highly recommend
Great restaurant, perfect representation of fine dining in Whistler. A little bit of up selling on the wines, but overall an outstanding experience.
A really great night!
The help to choose between dishes in the menu and a wine which fitted our choice of meal was perfect! We got our food quickly and it was really good!
The waiter Charlie gave us amazing service and made the night memorable.
Food was fine. Not at all worth the price.. service was poor. Very pretentious waiters but poor service. In summary, a lot of show and very expensive for a restaurant with just decent food.
You can’t beat il Caminetto for a great Italian fine dining experience. The service is impeccable and the food is exquisite. If you have the appetite I recommend doing the whole three courses then finish the meal off with a shared desert and coffee.
The food was phenomenal but the wine list was pricey.
Your supper was spoiled by the unfriendly attitude of the waiter.
Would only recommend to friends who can afford very expensive meal.
Everything was delicious,
Food was outstanding. Service also. Wine list is extensive, higher priced wine but they will help you find a bottle that fits your taste.
Excellent ambiance and service - food a little disappointing.
Nice restaurant. Wonderful food actually. What really dampened our experience is when they tried to give us a sub optimal table. Not usually an experience we expect. Detracted from the evening.
Waiter was fantastic, food was good, but something has been lost in the translation to the new owners. That said, the place is trying very hard. It’s most definitely a seen be seen place in Whistler. Nothing wrong with that, however the food could be improved upon. And certainly the reception upon getting a seat needs a vast improvement. The front desk lacks a genuine warmth you will find it other top-flight restaurants.
Absolutely incredible! Hands down the meal we had in Whistler and the service was on point. I wish we had this restaurant in Nashville!
Food was amazing, waiter was attentive, noise a little loud but bearable. Would recommend.
Excellent experience...every dish order was delicious. Great menu and wine selection.
The ambience is really lovely, beautiful decor and nice dim lighting. The restaurant is very busy and lively and has a great vibe. The food was very good, all five of us really loved our meal. The service was disappointing in a restaurant of this caliber. Having worked in the service industry for many years it was a little frustrating that she was lacking in personality and efficiency. Our waitress was not very attentive and would disappear for long stretches leaving us waiting to order drinks, appetizers and with water glasses empty. I would definitely return but I would be hoping for a different server.
Great job these people know what they are doing!
Delicious food, with fabulous service! I went as a party of one and sat in the lounge with a book. it was perfect!
The food was outstanding, namely, the octopus puttanesca! The staff, Ryan and Walter, were very professional. Would recommend for friends.
A very nice server but service was slow.
Exceeded expectations. Fantastic food for the price point and what you can get for a similar price in whistler.
Fantastic service, food and ambiance 10/10
Great food and great service. A little noisy as tables for 2 were pretty close together. Overall I would go back.
Amazing food, well prepared and dish’s orchestrated like a symphony and FLAVORS explode in your mouth... excellent service .
