A must to visit. Epic food and wonderful service. Authentic Italian hospitality and cuisine. An incredibly wine list. A team that works together. If you want a special meal - this is one you should try.

An amazing experience, we celebrated our anniversary at IL COVO, and they customised they menu since I am pregnant. Very accommodating and very very friendly and sweet people who work there as well.

Food is delicious. Portions are small. Sommelier is friendly and knowledgeable

All the dishes we selected were great - looked great and tasted great. Many interesting flavours and each dish was described fully. The staff were very knowledgeable. Busy night, but service was efficient and professional.

The service wasn't the greatest. It was almost a half hour of us being there before we had our orders taken. Then our main dishes were forgotten about.

For some reason they just couldn’t get it together. Wine order didn’t come until reminded. Risotto with truffles came without the truffles. Water for the table was inexplicably rationed. Great food with very uneven service.

I have already recommended this restaurant to several people after a great visit, portion sizes are perfect, service is authentic, flavors are unique and perfectly balanced.

Il Covo epitomizes hospitality. We felt comfortable and welcome the moment we entered. It has a very cozy, relaxed vibe, unassuming atmosphere, with top notch drinks and dishes, and incredible staff and service. They also have the holy grail of Italian wines.. their wine list is incredible.

The food is phenomenal. We had the tasting menu and we were extremely impressed with the quality and overall presentation of every dish. We've tried many different tasting menu's in Toronto and Il Covo's tasting menu is definitely at the top of our list!

Il Covo is a serious gem, and one of the best Italian restaurants in Toronto.

Love the food and ambiance. Thomas has the best service in the city. He's casual, attentive, friendly and makes everyone feel comfortable. His knowledge of food and assessing your palette to make wonderful suggestions always makes me want to come back because I know I'll be taking care of ! Oh and Luca 's cocktails are the greatest.

It was so nice, they arranged the table so it was comfrotable for all of us. they didn't waste time and the drinks were amazing.

I am a regular guest at Il covo and every time I come back I am more and more impressed with the menu. There are always new dishes and everything we’ve tried was amazing. Incredible experience as always!

Giuseppe and Thomas were incredible! We had the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairings and it was exquisite! Thank you so much for an incredible, unforgettable meal. It made us all feel like we were back in Italy.

A sorely disappointing experience. Came here with my partner on high expectations and left with a funny taste in our mouths. I eat out often and rarely feel compelled to offer feedback.

Service was inattentive and standoffish. We were ushered to the host stand at the center of the restaurant and left to wait there awkwardly without greeting or acknowledgement for 5-10 minutes despite having a reservation. The menus took another 10 minutes to hit the table after being seated.

My partner and I gave our experience at first the benefit of the doubt, as it felt as though it was either grossly understaffed or a particularly busy night. Unfortunately the service did not improve after the house had cleared out. Our server seemed impatient for us to go, the cheque came faster than anything else in our meal.

As for the food: the sword fish carpaccio (mopped up with the bread from another dish) was delightful! Everything else was a range of under-seasoned to over-cooked. Well conceived dishes with mediocre execution. Cannot comment on dessert or cocktails as we were not encouraged to stick around.

Hopefully this was just an off-night, but I won’t be returning.

Amazing food & great service!

We tried a whole bunch of dishes (zucchini flowers, fish carpaccio, risotto, seafood pasta, eggplant main) and everything was delicious. The staff was super friendly, welcoming and professional.

Best Italian in TO! Appreciate the help selecting wine.

A really warm friendly environment. Beautiful room. Everyone was really welcoming. It genuinely felt like a restaurant in Italy in that regard. Food was excellent. Sharing menu strikes the right balance. The wine suggestions were really interesting. Unusual options but perfectly paired with the meal. The room is beautiful and stylish but didn’t lose the intimacy of a neighbourhood place. It’s busy, but you don’t feel jostled or harassed the way you can in a lot of new places. And there was music on but it didn’t overwhelm conversation. Prices were reasonable for food of this calibre. Il Covo has become one of our favourite places in the city. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Il Covo had delicious food with a true Italian ambiance.
Each dish had a story but you didn't receive the explanation unless you ordered the tasting/Chiefs menu.
We ordered the same dishes - three each but din't get to know the details of each dish - that were interesting.
The meal was pricey so be prepared to spent a fair amount.
I prefer more explanations and a better value for the dollars.
I would recommend it a as real Italian meal but not my regular establishment.

Amazing food. Perfectly good pricing. Phenomenal wine list AND suggestion from sommelier. Great setting. Portions were fair and not overburdening. Loved every minute and will be back many times. No question.

Exceptional dining experience.

Food was very competent. Tables were a little too close. The server bumped into my numerous times while serving the table next to us. Extremely noisy.

Amazing dinner. These guys knows exactly what Toronto needs... it’s a whole experience, just like being in Italy!
