A wonderful experience. The chef has an excellent understanding of flavours. His restraint results in meal that is a gastronomic treat. Combined with wonderful wine pairings and attentive, knowledgeable staff resulted in a fun and memorable experience. We would highly recommend you to discover it for yourself.

The food was good and original, but quantity was small. The service was unfortunately not as good as expected. We had to serve our own wine, had empty water glasses a few times, no one came to see us to ask if we were ok, waited long period of time to get a server attention. With only one bottle of wine, the bill was $450 + tip, for 2 people. I would have expected a lot more in terms of service and food for restaurant of that reputation.

This was my second visit and it was just as amazing the second time. There is so much love, expertise and creativity in everything served. The service is so friendly, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. This place is wonderful. Be prepared for a 3 hour dining experience, not a quick in and out meal. It is fantastic!

Ce fut une excellente soirée. La nourriture, le service et l'ambiance sont parfaits. Cet aspect mérite amplement un 5, mais le prix de l'appariement vin repas est beaucoup trop élevé pour la toute petite quantité de vin servie et même la qualité des vins choisis. C'est tout de même un nedroit fantastique où nous retournerons.

Loved every bit of it!!! The tasting menu was exquisite. Each dish was so flavouful. I especially loved how playful they were with corn for this sitting. The food, along with the perfect wine pairings, makes this place one of the best in the city. I can't wait to go back when I'm in town next.

The owner and staff were beyond hospitable and welcoming. The food was so delicious and beautiful presented. The wine pairing was perfect but worth it just to hear about them from the most effervescent sommelier ever! What a wonderful experience in fine dining. I would go back to Montréal just to eat there again!

The food was really creative and excellent. The service was friendly and attentive, maybe a bit slow. The menu is a 6-course but they forgot one. They apologized warmly and offered to us 2 courses + a cocktail for free. Overall it was a good experience and we will come back for the next season.

Perfect as always ! Even thought they were short staff they delivered outstanding service. The food was amazing as usual ! The new sommelier really brought a perfect pairing for the services, Jade's shoes were big to fill but I think she did a great job :) Love the team, thank you all !

Where do I start? From beginning to end magical memorable evening. Not to be missed. This restaurant knows how to please. You are not told before you sit down how long you have to eat. Tasting menu takes a long time. Was wonderful. Cannot wait to go back. Menu is seasonal. House sommelier and all staff were outstanding. Put this on your bucket list.

C'était notre troisième visite à ce restaurant et nous n’avons pas été déçu. Tous les plats étaient exceptionnels et les présentations de toutes beautés. Nos serveuses étaient tous excellentes et très attentionnées. L'Ile Flottante est devenue notre restaurant fétiche pour célébrer les occasions spéciales et nous avons hâte à notre prochaine visite.

Food and service is great. I would like it if there was a bit more food, twice now I came out of the experience still a bit hungry. The service also takes a long time, we arrived at 7pm and left a 10h30. This gives us a 30min time for each service which is just a bit to long in my opinion. Other than that everything is great and I would wholeheartedly recommend the experience.

I must say it was a great culinary experience all together the service was very careful the explanation very accurate. The quality of the food and the creativity of the chef outstanding. A nice discovery in Montreal may I suggest a shorter time for dinner as it took almost 3 hours from start to last dessert. Apart from that excellent evening spent last night . Thanks to all the amazing team.

We absolutely loved our dinner at Île flottante! The courses were all delicious, at times creative and fun, at times elegant and refined. The vegetables were beautifully elevated and local ingredients were showcased at their best. The service was courteous yet warm and friendly. Ambiance was lively, a little too loud for intimate conversations but that was due to enthusiastic customers rather than loud music. I look forward to going back next time we're in town! A truly wonderful dinner and a place I will highly recommend to anyone looking for a splurge dining experience.

Great experience! We went as a couple for my birthday and the food was amazing! The somelier was really attentive in getting us the best red to couple with our 5 services menu (since I didn’t want the actual “accord vin” service that had whites in the beginning). The rich savouriness of each bite was incredible! It’s pricy, but it’s worthy! Five stars for me…

First time experience at Île Flottante. Cocktails and wine were decently priced. Overall, the food was excellent. I am a professional chef and here are my comments on certain dishes. The ravioli was delicious, the bowl and filling were warm, but the ravioli was undercooked. The protein dish was slightly disappointing. Although the veal was perfectly cooked and hot, the plates and purées were room temperature/not hot. Both desserts were phenomenal and very well executed. Staff was nice but the atmosphere was too casual for the quality of the food. Chairs are very uncomfortable. Finally, a written menu would have been nice to follow along. Compliments to the Chef!
