   Best table in Montreal for refined dining. No close comparison in the city and this is coming from someone who has recently tried a lot of the tasting menus in the city. Île Flottante is a culinary narrative with loads of attention to details from the choice of ingredients, to flavor combinations & ingenuous declination of foods, to service and wine pairing, nothing is missed. Everything is as elegantly close to perfection yet without any of the pretention that comes with a stiff perfect. It's a fluid, human, authentic, warm and cozy experience. The kind of place you'll want to come back to everytime they change the menu and maybe more 😋.

   La nourriture est excellente et originale. La présentation est magnifique et le service est parfait. Je regrette un peu le confort des chaises si je dois trouver un défaut. Le bruit n'est pas pire :) Le menu dégustation existe aussi en mode végétarien.

   Vraiment exceptionnel..tout une expérience culinaire, hors du commun, raffinée, excellent service. J'ai pris la version vegan du menu (malgré que je ne sois pas une puriste vegan) et j'ai en plus goûté les plats de mon conjoint (pas vegan)..savoureux, belle texture, présentation ...je recommande sans hésitation.

   Cocktails were crazy good. Food was unbelievable. The desert was worth a michelin star. We shared a meat and vegeterian degustation menu and both were amazing. Wine pairing was perfect. Its really a must. Service was amazing ! A perfect night.

    Notre réservation était pour 18h30 à notre arrivée nous n’avons pas été avisé que la table nous étais reserve seulement jusqu’à 21h30! Tout était excellent nourriture , service , accord vins . On venait de discuter que nous commanderions une bouteille de vin pour continuer agréablement notre souper quand à notre surprise notre serveuse nous dit que nous devons quitter et nous demande de quelle façon elle prépare addition!! Pour ma part c’était ma 4e fois à votre resto et je n’avais jamais vécu cette situation,pour mes amies épicuriennes qui vous visitait pour la 1er fois, elles découvraient “Ile Flottante” avec cette fin ce sera pour nous une expérience négative avec possible non retour à votre restaurant. Vraiment désolé

    Délicieux. Malheureusement, nous croyons qu'un service a été oublié. Sur 5 services salés et 2 sucrés. Seulement 4 services salés ont été servi. J'ai réalisé en regardant les photos de chaque service que nous avons capturé, une fois rentrée à la maison. Oups.... Déçu de ne pas avoir profité de l'expérience en totalité et de n'avoir pas remarqué l'oublie avant de partir. Ceci dit, ce qui a touché nos papilles étaient fabuleux, divin, et doté d'une belle créativité.

    Amazing place, the service is excellent and the good is delicious, very refined, all in one only tasting menu. The courses are beautifully presented, original and with surprising tastes association. Perfect place for a date, a couple anniversary or any special occasion. Thank you !

    Six des 7 services étaient wow et l'autre était tout de même délicieux. La sommelière, très sympathique du reste, fait un très beau travail d'assemblage et ses accords sont délicieux. Une belle soirée pré-St-Valentin à deux, bien qu'à ce prix (cela le vaut), qu'on fût heureux de s'offrir!

    Bel accueil avec une plaque à son nom, repas exceptionnel, chaque plat est une œuvre d'art, service discret et extrêmement efficace (ne pousse pas pour la consommation d'alcool), décor sobre et correct, magnifique vaisselle Gaïa, ce qui encourage une artiste montréalaise. Expérience grandiose.

    Nous avons adoré notre expérience comme d'habitude, le seul point constructif que je pourrais dire est à propos du 2e plat que nous avons reçu: Je trouve qu'il n'était pas à la hauteur des autres plats. Mais le menu change à chaque saison alors j'y retournerai au printemps !

    Returned to this restaurant after about 3 years and after it reincarnated itself from the former Deux Singes de Montarvie, my favorite restaurant of all time. The excellence and creativity in the kitchen are still there, and the service is just right: attentive when you need it, unobtrusive when you don't. I had the vegetarian degustation, and was beyond satisfied by the 7 services. The mix of flavors and consistencies did not leave me feeling like I had missed the "weight" of a meat-centered meal. My only tiny "complaints" are that, in the newer, larger incarnation, you can no longer sit overlooking the kitchen and watch the chefs prepare the dishes you are about to eat -- that was always such a pleasure; and I remember the music selection being more specific (especially vintage soul music). I'm old-school, from a time in Montreal when restaurant music was taken very seriously and not left to chance. My dinner (25 Jan 2023) was 98/100. If the music had been also matched to the mood, it would have been 100/100. Still, 98/100 is excellent !
