We celebrating a birthday at Sunday brunch! The staff was amazing especially given the circumstances with Covid-19. The server was very open about the extra sanitation efforts they were taking to keep everyone safe. The customers were well spaced across the restaurant and given options to distance themselves further from other guests.

Very elegant. The food was great with excellent portions. We went for brunch..I had chicken n waffles and my husband had shrimp and grits. We both had salads: mixed green salad and kale salad. They both were great and not drowned with dressing. It was a nice Sunday experience.

I have never had a better and more thoughtful vegetarian plate in my life! Normally you get an afterthought of sides but this was art! Our service was slow for a Monday night. We arrived at 6 and didn’t leave until after 9. But the server was very pleasant.

We dine very often at Interim, but this past visit was not anything like what we expected. I booked the table 13 days prior to our reserved spot. My husband has ordered Merlot for the last 5 years, but we were told the restaurant no longer carried any types of Merlot. I ordered the burger, which is usually great, but was told that I would have to now be seated in the bar to have a burger--that it was no longer served in the dining area. Our server had to ask the manager for permission to serve one to me at our table. There were 4 of us at our table, and sadly 2 of the entrees had to be sent back to be cooked properly. A well done burger came out rare and the salmon was completely raw. We all shared the 2 entrees that came out correctly, and did not even take any of the 2 entrees that had to be recooked to go. I was curious when I got home and pulled up my credit card records to see how many times we had dined at Interim in 2019--it was 18 times!! Usually really good, but not planning on going back. We paid the bill for all 4 of us and it was $180.00 with the tip for essentially 2 entrees and a glass of wine my husband had that was not really his preference.

An absolutely phenomenal restaurant. One of the best wine pairings we have ever been a part of. Great service and knowledgeable sommelier. We went during Valentines but are planning on coming again often.

Fixed menu for Valentines Day, not good choices. No choice as to soup or dessert, salad was either beets or kale (which was a bunch of kale with a vinaigrette, not even a tomato or cucumber). Poor value. We won’t be back

So disappointed. Interim is one of our ‘regular rotation’ restaurants but the meal on 2-13 was not up to their standard. My tenderloin was burnt to the point the knife had difficulty and my husbands one solid piece of fat. It was not a total sellout but service was slow. Even dessert was a disappointment....choices were not up to what we’ve come to expect at Interim. I’m still shaking my head. It will be a while before we go back.

I’ve been here a few times one of my favorite restaurants I’ll always order the chef special of the day which was redfish with the African sauce over couscous and carrot potato soup. Always make sure you order the soup to try even if you don’t think you’ll like it. it best soup you’ll ever have in your life! Bread service is wonderful. Dessert with their French press coffee at the table was a great ending.

The biscuits were not what we expected and were flavored. We expected traditional Southern style biscuits for brunch. The waitress was very gracious and took them off our bill, i.e. $8.00.

Our biscuits are very classic in recipe but do include a healthy dose of herbs de provence adding a savory depth to them, while the supplemental honey butter and seasonal jam take them to another level! We do take our guest experiences very seriously, and in this instance with a misunderstanding in regard to the biscuits were are happy to adjust the bill to reflect our commitment to your experience. We had a lovely dinner and appreciated the ambiance of the Interim dining room. The lighting is warm, the dining room and kitchen are clean and orderly, tables nicely separated, service is attentive and food is carefully and wonderfully prepared. The kitchen is on full display for entertainment, if you like. The professional staff are composed and work with purpose in this pristine kitchen making the food even more appealing. The Interim is more than just a restaurant, it’s a food experience.

Service was slow one in our party got the incorrect dish and one in our party had incorrectly cooked steak. We have long loved interim and want to support the new chef but still definitely some kinks to work through. Service at the bar beforehand was outstanding with excellent drinks and knowledgeable bartenders!!

Consistently great experience. Restaurant ambiance is always top notch. Parking is easy and well lit. The wait staff is attentive and took drink orders quickly. The menu is straightforward and easy to understand (though it contains plenty of flourishes that set it apart from others). The open kitchen design is interesting/fun and adds to the experience for me. We were a party of 5 and the salads and apps were served together and received high marks around the table. Fresh, interesting, delicious, approachable ... all are words I heard around the table. Dinner ran the gamut from the burger to seafood for us and everything was served at the proper temp, together, and perfectly prepared and seasoned. I think their restaurant has had a culinary reawakening that most of Memphis has missed. It’s an understated, elegant gem hidden in plain sight. We’ll definitely be back.

Avoid Interim at all cost. They brought out our swordfish and it was not cooked at all. It was stone cold to the touch. They took It back, cooked it and gave us a free desert. The server was horrified but no apologitic visit from the manager. There was not a manager. No customers in the restaurant. I did not see a chef. Stay away. It will soon close.

So glad to see the PO folks have landed somewhere!! We were big fans of Collierville but even happier they are in East Memphis now. The Service was fantastic as always, and Jimmy is a wizard with flavors SERIOUSLY! Had a halibut with an elote style sauce and Mrs. had salmon. Will be back for Brunch now that we know they are here.

Outstanding Dinner all the way around! From service to food we left impressed. Crab claws had such a buttery taste! The liquid was perfect for the bread. My husband is a vegetarian and we were so grateful the chef was able to accommodate us with so many options. Do not skip out on the dessert. The presentation was absolutely beautiful.

It was so noisy I couldn’t hear the people I was dining with. The salmon was mediocre for the price. Just not worth it. Our service was professional And thorough. Won’t be back.

Soup of the day (potato) was excellent. Birthday celebration, and amazingly enough the 3 of us ordered burgers and fries. Burgers were cooked perfectly...huge...two people can easily share. Creme brûlée...yum! Anna provided outstanding service.

The food was awesome. Waiter was inattentive, split checks incorrectly and an ordered dessert was never delivered. Easily the worst service at a fine dining restaurant in all my nearly two decades in Memphis. Embarrassing because I had recommended Interim to my friends.

Food was excellent but service wasn’t the best. There were a good number of servers but drinks and food were slow to arrive, one order wasn’t complete and a condiment was very slow being brought to our table. Food and atmosphere were good.

Birthday dinner with three friends. We all opted for the burger which was excellent. Way too many slightly soggy fries.Good wine and dessert. The old desserts are really missed. Beautifully presented but not quite the standard Interim has set.

Yes, the departure of our previous pastry chef has brought change to the pastry department and the new more finessed style is decidedly different, though we find them a wonderful compliment to the new styling of the dinner menu.
