Queso too salty burnt ends too fatty. The tenderloin salad dressing was horrible. We’ve been eating here for year, it use to be one of our favorite places to eat. This was the place we’d take our guests to, not going back.

I had the best margarita at Iron Starr last night. Yummy! My hubby and I love to eat there for the Monday night special-Smoked Chicken Enchiladas. We just love them. I always substitute the roasted corn for their delicious Brussels sprout and roasted carrot dish. Everything they made is delicious. The staff are so friendly and accommodating as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The brisket burnt ends are a new favorite. The corn pudding's departure is a tear-jerker. One of OKC's very best places to have a scrumptious dinner.

The two of us were originally sat at a booth but it was a very tight fit. Neither one of us is overweight, but we certainly felt it in that moment. We moved to table and got a good chuckle out of it.

While the brisket and turkey had a very good smoked flavor, they were both a little dry. The Brussel sprouts and slaw were way to peppery as it was really all I could taste. My waiter was very good and attentive

Food was good, but took the full lunch hour to get. Table was on the smaller side for four people, had to continually shuffle things around to make room for plates. Staff was kind and we were seated quickly. Would recommend for sure, just giving some points on the above, not meaning to sound negative 😊

They have a new menu with burnt ends. They were wonderful. Cornbread is made into muffins but they are the same recipe which is really good. Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes are my favorite. All the meats are good along with the salmon.

We stopped through on a road trip whim and wanted a good sit down dinner, finally. However, this was Just a disappointing experience from start to finish. Neither the host/hostess made eye contact. We watched them prepare our table with menus and then made us wait standing in the busy doorway while they fetched an extra set of utensils, which ended up taking 15 minutes or more. My husband got tired of waiting and asked to sit, which they finally let us. The table had flies all over it that wouldn’t shoo away - strike #1. The water served was sewer tap water strike #2. My husband asked if they had house made lemonade, a man said no it’s just Minute Maid.. so then we asked about the tea and a man said it wasn’t as good as it can be, (sad) then promised him a glass for free and never brought it, strike #3 …should I keep counting? we saw the waiter guy pass our table several times throughout our dinner, and nothing. We ordered the brisket hoping it truly was as good as they claimed it was “smoked for hours”, my husband said there was barely any smoke ring around it which would be thick if it were smoked a long time. The bbq sauce was terrible more sweet than spicy and kinda sour, the ranch was the thick Kraft style sauce, really not what you want with your salad or with chicken strips, like we ordered. The mac and cheese was runny and grainy from poorly blended Parmesan but good flavor, the green chile queso was so thick the chips kept breaking in it. Oh and the burnt ends were mostly big chunks of all fat. We ordered a smathering of the whole menu and there was nothing to write home about and the service wasn’t anything to return for. Our waitress continued bringing us plates but not clearing any, and the table was too small for 5, they put a chair right in the middle of the walkway for my son to sit in, bad location. They would never seat an adult like that, it always rubs me wrong when people treat the children with less than equal standards. Won’t be back.

What a great experience it was, we started our dinner with me having there urban old fashion and let me tell you something about that. It was so good I had to have two of them. Enjoyed there deviled eggs, dinner I had brisket burnt ends and ribs, my wife enjoyed there vegetable plate. Sides where amazing as well, I would highly recommend this place

The food and service were great. They originally sat us in a booth and it was so tight that we had to ask for a table. I'm guessing there is only 12 " between table and the back of the booth so very hard to get in and out - in fact with the 4 of us it was claustrophobic and not enough room for our feet. The table they sat us in barely had room for 4 plates and 4 glasses. If we go again I will do take out.

Our family is employed by The Good Egg Dining company, but BBQ is not my food of choice. We decided to dine there last night as one of our sons is training there for now (we always like to eat where our children work to support them and the business for which they work). I was so pleasantly surprised with my dinner! I had the BBQ club, and it was a wonderful sandwich. Oh, and every side is a wonderful addition to the meal! We plan to go back in the future even when our son has moved to his permanent restaurant!

Arie was our server. She was very attentive and on top of everything. Our food and drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time — sides were very tasty and full of flavor. The roasted Brussels and carrots were our favorite!

The food and service were fabulous. We loved our waiter! (He looks like Jonah Hill - if you see him be sure to say hello!) the one thing I didn’t care for was how tight it feels in there / amount of tables. It was also fairly loud when we came for lunch on a Sunday

We came here for our anniversary dinner since this is where I proposed to her. Amazingly enough we landed in the same booth we had that night over 6 years ago. The wife had chopped brisket and I had the rack of ribs. The wife had a problem with the wrong sides which was quickly corrected. The wife’s mixed drink and my wine were both good. All in all a great evening and I’m happy to recommend Iron Star BBQ to you.

We hadn't been to Iron Star in a while. No specific reason. We made Reservations on Open table. The place has not changed. The Service was outstanding and the food was excellent. I had the Meatloaf a special on Friday's. They still have their magnificent Chocolate cake.

I used to frequent Iron Star all the time when I lived in OKC. It's been a few years since I have been back and the quality has gone downhill. The meat was dry, the fancy mac and cheese was always my favorite and it was just ok. The chairs were super uncomfortable which made dining not so pleasant. Our server, on the other hand, was top-notch.

This place was amazing. The most impressive aspect was our server! The server was Samuel (per my receipt), and he was awesome. He confidently provided expert recommendations that were spot on. Brief outline of items we had: Nachos (amazing, very large portion) 2 meat platters (sliced brisket, pulled pork), sides (greens, mac and cheese, fried okra), fried peach pie with ice cream. Everything was excellent, brisket was the best ever.
